I spent hours trying to reduce my iPhone memory to do a computer backup on a C drive that was not big enough. I even explored options to repartition my hard disk to increase C drive memory, which proved to be costly. This solved the problem in a surprisingly easy manner. Simple yet specific instructions were extremely useful. You only need to invest 10 minutes of your time. I wish I had found this video sooner! Thank you!

Thank you!!! I have been frustrated with laptop storage for months. When I found out my APPLE DEVICES is consuming such large space and I thought there is nothing I can do about it. Luckily I see your tutorial and save a lot of space.
Hey Grasspo. What about the backup recovery for the phone? Just click restore this back up on itunes and it takes it automatically from the new location?
I really want to thank you for making this so easy, I was reading tutorials online and it was not clicking for me, but watching you helped me get this figured out, I had to do some tweaking with the steps because I’m still running Windows 8.1, the main reason I needed to move the Apple files is because I’m trying to free up space to upgrade to 10. I can’t thank you enough, I was so happy it worked and how easy it was! Definitely subscribed to you now

Hello. I know my happiness is not your responsibility. ha! Would you please look at the Shell entry below... and see if you notice something wrong? I have been going in circles for hours. Everyone here says how easy this is.... but it's not working for me and I don't know why. Here's what I see on my blue Shell screen AFTER I attempt to create the junction to change my Itunes backup folder to an external drive. Could it be as simple as spaces between words that's not correct? I am baffled and very frustrated. You will see below that I do NOT see a "junction created" message on my screen. Thank you so much! This worked perfectly (My "Apple" folder was hidden so I had to search it, as I could not find it simply in the "user" folder) Nonetheless once the folder was found, following the steps exactly as described in the video created the link to transfer the files. There should be by default some easier way via iTunes to simply change backup location folder, but until that happens (or if it does exist and I haven't found it) this was a great alternative solution😁
I just tried following all your relocation backup steps and it's finally successful. Thank you so much for sharing this helpful tip, I really appreciate it. According to this process, is there any trouble if I want to restore all the backup files from the new location to my iPhone later, may I ask?

I was screwed last 7 days, my phone wouldn’t restore backup. A simple thing that you require space twice the size of your backup for restoring is not mentioned anywhere by Apple. As my C drive did not have enough empty space for restoring the iPhone i had to shift it to D driver and got my job done immediately. Thanks for this easy and beautiful video.

oqww çok teşekkür ederim bir sürü video izlemiştim ama hiç yapamamıştım türk olmama rağmen aşırı net bir şekilde anladım sizin videonuzdan harikasınız😍😍😍💘💘💘💘
Can we just uninstall iTunes and reinstall it on the other drive (assuming it’s an internal PC drive / not an external hard drive)? And then just copy and paste the backups?
I agree with the positive feedback provided earlier. However, it seems that the current procedure is directing both current and future backups to the E or external drive. To free up more disk space, it might be more effective to also move the old backup files to the E or external drive and configure future backups to be saved there as well. From what I observed towards the end, it appeared that old backup files on the C drive were being cut and pasted into a backup folder on the same drive, rather than being transferred to the external drive. If I’m mistaken, please correct me.
This should win an award for the best tutorial video on UA-cam! Thank you so much dude.
