Hello, great video first of all! I would like to ask you, because I have a Gilera Runner 180SP, the acceleration is not the same as it used to be. Is this because the air filter is removed, or could it be the reed valve? I'm planning to change the reed valve to a malossi one, the rest standard except the air filter im gonna put (malossi)
Yes you can, but the header and cradle need to be modified. Too much work I say, best to use the side stand and have the main stand at hand and connectable for when performing maintenance.

Gilera runner sp 50, whats the downsides of getting heavier weights, because around 80kmh it starts giving me signs that it doesnt want to go faster and the belt gets too far up the variator. Do i lose any acceliration by adding heavier weights?
When we discuss heavy rollers it usually refers to the rollers losing gear optimization due to excess weight. The heavier rollers can slow down acceleration and it is at this point where the rollers must be lightened to allow a fair opportunity for engine to rev without going through the gearing earlier than optimal..

Gilera sp 50 runner When my scooter is cold and i want to ride it, it doesnt get full rpm when i accelirate and its almost like it doesnt get enough gas, this only happens when cold, any suggestions to fix this or is this normal?
Hi Robin, Just at a guess I would say it is the Auto choke. I really don know but that is all I got. The auto choke really just enrichens the fuel at starting and a good working choke will slowly turn off after say 60 seconds. Check out the airbox to carby system and also the Auto choke and air leaks.
The higher tension spring require higher RPM (rotational force) to release and allow the clutch shoe to engage with the bell housing, this unloads the crankshaft and give an opportunity to allow rev increase without the early load from the clutch and rear wheel.
I have a 2020 aprilia sr 50 with leovince tt ( derestricted), malossi multivar 2000 with 6,5g rollers, stylepro cluch with piaggio original clutch springs and contra spring, athena belt, 65 jet. The scooter is an absolute beast for a 50cc, but i am not sure about the top speed because on the dash it shows 80 and gps 75, is it still restricted electronically or what?
The speedo on most scooters is optimistic, meaning true speed is 60 and speedo reading is 66. there is approx. 10% acceptable variance. It is very difficult for manufacturers to calibrate the speedo as they run from the drive gear on the front wheel. (different tyre pressure will give a different reading)
