Our ccg is allowing adults to get cgm from 1st April. Especially for people on pumps that would allow it to be hybrid closed loop. Think the NICE guidelines are changing. So you should ask your team about this?! I work in paeds but we had a meeting with adults who let us know they will allow dexcom (especially those in t slim otherwise missing out on control iq)
Is Dexcom G6 not available where you live? My understanding is that Tandem integrates with Dexcom. The advantage is the auto basal. I use OmniPod 5 with Dexcom and the results have been great. My time in range is 93% and my average BS has gone from 135 to 125.
Unfortunately not on prescription yet! There's very tight restrictions around CGM funding in the UK which makes it hard to access a Dexcom without paying up front (which I can't afford). The regulations are supposed to be changing soon so I'm hoping it opens up access for me!
5 or 10g carbs is definitely not enough to treat a hypo. A lot of my hypos are around exercise / my after meal walks etc so I think I need to focus on my insulin splits for these situations

That’s amazing!! I will definitely keep asking about it because it could be so life changing

@@halfbakedmunky5566 I wouldn’t say 125 is high, especially with a 93% time in target.
@@halfbakedmunky5566 In my opinion 125 is a great number to be aiming for to manage diabetes well while still living life
Surely Libre 3 will be able to work with your T slim when we get it.
At the moment I think it’s only the Dexcom that’s compatible!
i think u need to try correct loe with less than 15g carb as u get rebound high , try 5g or 10g and see. or u may need less than 5g to
