I have a similar screen by G Story. I thought about getting a cheaper portable monitor but the G Story much like this screen being reviewed is very sleek. That’s worth a lot in my opinion.
Remember when things like X-Screen were sold for same price, but were a 5inch CRT packaged in Nyko style packaging, about 20 years ago, for all 3 systems?
If the screen had a built in battery to power the Xbox then yeah that would be cool . I'll just pay for gamepass membership and play on my galaxy Zfold with a gamepad connected through type C and when I'm done just disconnect the gamepad and close the Xbox app and can fit in my pocket .
On one side you have fanboys constantly dunking the Series S. On the other, you have Series S owners who love the little man. I actually think this was a brilliant call by Xbox. But it's the follow-up to the Series S that's gonna be the must buy. You can tackle portable gaming from the other angle. By making a console small enough to be portable, rather than a handheld that is aiming for console quality gaming. Sell the screen as option attachment, along with battery pack options.

I got mines last week, I love it. One of the Best investment i ever made, i recommended the monitor If u purchase the series S. I don't use all the other ports, just glad the screen doesn't block the memory slot.....it was important. I have both consoles and don't regret my decision on buying both at all, but I do say u need this Screen If u buy the Series S
I don't know who needs to know this but you can also attach a keyboard & mouse in this setup for productivity through Edge, or just playing Halo Infinite... I grabbed a cute 60% keyboard for it and it matches it perfectly.

Before I used to carry my Xbox Series X with me wherever I go, now I carry my One S with this screen and still need a power supply to play games. No thanks, the conventional option is just much better. XScreen is meant for very few use cases.
One complaint for the video editor: the lapel mic is way too loud causing an a bit of a buzz throu everyone's speaker. You need to low the mic down a bit.
Some people need the actual real xbox controller plus this fits on a commercial plain seat. If you buy a cheaper screen that doesn't attach when the passenger in front of you reclines his seat back that none attach screen will go falling. This is perfect for what I need.
Well the series s is still cheaper than any comparable laptop so that's not a realistic comparison. You are not matching those specs on a laptop for under $400.

As soon as I get my Xbox series x instead of trading in my series s to GameStop I'm going to keep it as a portable and put it on my work desk I'm going to buy that screen and play all the indie games that are on game pass on it and leave the big AAA titles for my big 4K HDR screen in my living room
I remember having one of these for PS1 and tbh it was a waste of money. This is a waste of money too. If it was possible to power the system using batteries sure but no it needs the power cord still meaning it's not really portable as such.

@@dhandley22 I own a gaming laptop and I don't notice a loud noise. My acer VX15 from 2017 is quiet even if I am playing demanding games like FF15, Witcher 3, PUBG, Fortnite, Horizon, GTA 5 and other more demanding games.

Its still worth the price for some people I take alot of flights and it gets so boring up there with this i now have a way to play apex was even thinking to play flight simulator while I'm up there.
Some unknown chinese company will going to launch knockoffs for 20$ or less, here in India you can buy Chinese-delhi made 24inch led displays for 14$ ofcourse display quality isn't that good but still you can buy cheap monitor!

@@nathanjuan6042True the steamdeck is a solid option just like the Nintendo Switch but it really depends and comes down to which titles/IPs that one is interested in since the Nintendo Switch has games that the steamdeck doesn't and vice versa. However, the steamdeck again is priced way higher than the Nintendo Switch so much that if I take the price and availability into consideration than I would have to say that the X screen and Series S combo would be a better choice than the steamdeck if I was choosing. But tbh like I forgot about the steamdeck since like I said it's not really fully rolled out to everyone since they have a really odd release structure that effects availability in my honest opinion.

I will say this series S is not really that portable since you still need to plug it in and has no battery at the same time it is too big to be played as a portable. So yeah anything that I sudgest is a better go than the Series S.

Streaming on a phone on the go is not good the latency and the data that you consume at the same time needs a good internet connection so better buy a portable console than streaming on a phone on the go. Linus Tech Tips reviewed the XScreen and claimed the build quality is very poor, and even show why. So yeah, there's also that.

No steam deck is. If you compare the graphics of swicth vs steam deck it is night and day like comparing ps3 vs ps5 on portable.
