Better to use watt hours than mAh to describe the capacity of the power station. It's about 250 watt hours. If inverter was getting about ~70% efficiency then you'd expect roughly two hours of usage given your measurements from a full charge.
The only downside it's cost 250$ like a another series s

This is cool. Back in the Xbox 360 days this would have been incredible. I always wanted an "Xbox portable" back then.
CoD4 dude here since day one. Back then, the 360 time was just crazy lol! Most of the younger folks don't really understand how amazing it is to have something like the xbox series s. Its quite, small and delivers graphics that we could only dream of back then lol. I haven't been playing for a long time but got myself recently a series s for modern warfare, and its mind blowing.

I would love to see Microsoft turn the Series S into a portable handheld. Like what Sega and Nec did with the Nomad/Turbo Express.
Just bought one. It’s awesome. As long as the screen lasts a long time, I’d say it’s a great product.

Pretty cool device. I am pretty surprised they didn't add a pass through for the ethernet and USB that seems like it would be pretty simple.
I think because if you are using a portable screen you would never plug it in to Ethernet. But they could have left it open anyways.
Im 99% sure the screen is powered off the 2 usb ports on the back

I remember there were 1W 1080p@60Hz panel from Intel in the days of first EVO laptops. Those may save power consumption significantly.

You forgot to mention the screen will shut down the console via HDMI-CEC if you set it up on the Xbox settings.
It says to do this on the little warning sticker stuck to the screen protector!
I still wait for the console fan to cool down on mine but it does shut it off if you close the screen lid.
Not sure why the previous G-Story was not mentioned with its advantages of having a HDMI-in and Ethernet port access. Plus the little known fact that the G-Story 4K model can run at 1080p / 120hz for the XBox S !
And the G-story is 15.6 inches instead of that barely usable 11.6
Considering how expensive the expansion storage is, they could have at least have a USB pass through for the second port for plugging an external drive in.
if you already had one of those portable power packs like a jackary for other reasons like camping or power outages, it would go great with this setup. theres a ~500 wh one that costs around 399 i think, at 84 watts that you state in the vid that would run this setup for around 6 hours. wouldnt make much sense to buy for portable gaming unless you're rich, but if you already have one around.
what a nice idea, i hope to see xscreen create more of these for stronger consoles like ps5 / xbox SX.
something i want to see too, is something like a laptop of this size with very good cooling. It will be a very big and heavy laptop but i like the idea. At this size we will be able to change/upgrade the internals while holding the form factor (and screen + speakers). Laptops have very poor cooling...

Was gonna get one of these but they were out of stock. Got a msi 15 inch instead it's pretty nice. I have alot of downtime at work on nights so totally worth it. This looks nicer cuz it makes it one unit wish I could of got it but like my set up too. Series s is a pretty good console. I like my series x alot more but the series s is good on the go.

Depends....is that 40 minutes is Outlast? That's an experience that lasts long after the batteries die.

What about internet? How do you play games that require internet? Plus this xbox doesn't have a disc drive. What games are you able to access without internet on your own device?
My "portable" setup for xbs s or ps4:
Screen- MageDok MG 156-QNO1*, 1440p/144hz, response time 1ms, built in speakers ($249 w/coupon)
Battery- bluetti 268, 600W, 120v ($220 w/coupon)
*weird thing with the monitor, it says 2k 144hz, but when hooked up to my ps5/xbsx it registers a 4k 60hz or 1080p 120hz display

actually the vents are on the side as those holes on where the screen blocks it is actually the speaker

250 seems kinda steep, in comparison i check on amazon for portable monitors and its 130 to 180 dollars for a 15.6 inch ones. Lesser and more of the size, but without attachables. So its a stump for me, its a cool device but whats stopping me of getting a portable monitor? Plus the xbox series s doesnt run without internet, ive tried playing in the car without internet but its games lock, so im mostly gonna be stationary until i use my hotspot.
If you make it your home console it only requires internet every 24 hours

Very good concept but i in that case i would rather get a ryzen 6800u powered PC handheld so i can play the same gamepass games, maybe lower settings but you get a better experience

Just remember to set up your Xbox as your “main” Xbox in the settings menu, otherwise you can’t play offline.

Yeah true. I just picked up a portable 15.6" 1440p 144Hz screen for only $250. It has a full size HDMI in and USB-C as well.
It doesn't do 1440p @ 120Hz with the Series S due to a possible requirement by Microsoft needing to use HDMI 2.1 only when HDMI 2.0 could do it just fine. It does however do 1080p @ 120Hz tho which is still fine. On the PC side it does do 1440p @ 120Hz or 144Hz over HDMI 2.0 tho so I know it's possible.

I usually watch your videos all the way through anyway because there well made and informative but the fact that you didn't say what you were powering it with from the start made me nearly click off.
Its not a review on the battery bank its the screen. He clearly says its a rav power not hard to look for yourself on amazon takes 3 seconds

Over 7 minutes into the video... I understand what the video is about but I was interested in watching it because I wondered what battery would be powering it, and that battery was shown off in the thumbnail. I doubt I will be the only person who will be interested in that. I can look for myself on amazon which I did after I found out what the power bank was called, but my point was that I nearly clicked off the video because I started to think he wouldn't say what it was and I felt click baited.
I don't think this was done on purpose but I also don't see why you seem to have an issue with someone saying that something used in the video would be helpful to include in the start of the video or atleast the video description.
