I`ve been awestruck and mesmerized ever since I laid eyes on Patty Loveless and that was before those Hall of Fame duets with Vince Gill. At Georgr Jones`s funeral Vince began to cry for the second time Patty immediately starting singing lead until Vince recovered. She put her hand on his shoulder just to let him know everything was OK. A year or so ago I saw her come out on the GOOpry stage to sing with Chris Stapelton and I noticed she appeared a little shy and unsure but Chris`s empathy helped her get through her performance. She has been devastated since her Daddy passed away I believe. I just recently lost my Dad I was born on his birthday and his only child so believe me when I say I more than empathize or sympathize for this sweet. sweet talented young lady and I pray she can overcome the sadness and that she has someone even briefly like Vince did. I can`t wait to hear you have a new LP or maybe some touring dates. But you really don`t have to do anything more on your path to the Hall of Fame. GOD BLESS YOU MERRY CHRISTMAS PATTY AND I HOPE THAT 2025 BRINGS YOU NOTHING BUT THE GOOD THINGS. WHC
Patty is true country!! Top 5 country artists of all time. Right there with Merle, Waylon , Dolly Parton, Patsy Cline. So humble and kind! Truly beautiful inside and out!
Patty Loveless is the real deal. That is a rare quality. Authenticity is what draws a listener to a particular artist. Even if you are a hard core rocker, Patty has a universal appeal.
Can them boys play or what....I would like to spend a month in the mountains with a recording studio at hand with these guys and see what we would come up with....I'm guessing a song are two.
This was 1988. On Dwight's 32nd birthday, October 23rd. Rodney has it wrong. The album Buenos Noches was released just 2 months earlier 2nd August 1988. This is badly edited. Patty Loveless wasn't there that day. I've got the dvd.
yeah whoever at Circle TV did the research for the scripts for Rodney got it wrong on several shows. But still got to thank them for resurrecting thee shows, it looked like there was going to be a third serie of them but it's been 2 and a half years now so guess not
I thoroughly enjoyed finding this video from Austin City Limits!!! Dwight Yoakam is my favorite of favorites! Everyone was in top form and seemed to be having a great time!! Really LOVED Dwight's "booty dance" !! ♡
Not to mention Patty Loveless she is such a great versatile performer!! ♡♡ I was very impressed with Pete Anderson -- he has always been a great guitarist but he is usually stays pretty reserved and keeps to the background. In this video he seems to be really enjoying himself more --not so serious and reserved!! (When Eugene Edwards became the lead guitar --wow--not only is he a great artist buts he put so much excitement and energy for the audience to enjoy! (a perfect addition to the group!!! He compliments rather than competes)
Patty Loveless was my country music crush back in high school.
Dwight Yokam has a unique voice that no other country singer has. He definitely will always make you feel good with his singing and dancing!😢

The last great "modern" country music star. The rest are pretenders.
