- Professional toy photographer Johnny Wu visits our studio for another awesome photography session! This time, his subject is one of our favorite new figures: Mezco's Popeye, using custom toy clothing and posed in a highly-detailed foam set made for 1:12 scale photography. It's like a miniature movie set!

Thanks for watching! - Наука та технологія
This is what got me into photography many , many years ago.Photographing completed scale model kits in realistic settings or against background photos.
Thanks for this. Loved it.
Totallly AWSOME! Man.
Excellent. Keep shining a light on the community.
Johnny is amazing! I was so glad when I heard he was getting a book! I love it!
I buy a bunch of Figma and a couple other Bring Arts and McFarlane figures. Posing them to look natural is one of my favorite things to do. My current favorite is my Cayde-6 from Destiny (McFarlane) that I just reposed to look like he's got his back against a wall, taking cover around the corner of a box that I'm using to support him. It just adds so much life to the characters.
After watching this, I dimmed my room lights and tried taking a couple photos using just what I had on hand for lighting and my cellphone as my camera. I think a new hobbyist has been born.
Keep this series going as long as possible.
Another dope episode Johnny!!
So incredibly fascinating, love it.
A very artistic video that highlights our hobby...Impressive and gorgeous!
Great work Terrafoamer
Love that ACES suit!
Wow! That's awesome. It's inspired me to want to finish painting my Warhammer Age of Sigmar stuff and set it up for some cool photoshoots.
Little known fact, this Popeye model also makes a good double for Last of the Summer Wine's Compo ... ;)
So cool!
This is so awesome.
you guys can never have too many SgtBananas vids
Does anyone know anything about the lights that he's using?
The brand is Lume Cube. You can get a set of two of these lights in a kit with some accessories for around $200 on there website.

Now I want a Popeye/TMNT crossover. Thank you, Tested. XD

_You’ve got a diorama in me._
oh so you have it up your ass lol
What lens was used ?
Yo
hmm.. much of the diorama was not even in the shot, shame. I get that he wants a tighter shot to focus on the subject but the background would've been great too
Before you listen to this; I wanted to tell you, that you are beautiful and exceptional. Also your a phenomenal human being; I love you and I hope positive experiences will start happening in your life, if they haven't already. Fair well my friend; God Bless you 💖
We've not visited your page before, but we really enjoyed the video! The set up to your shots are so in depth and you can tell made by a passionate soul! If you get a spare moment to check us out, we've just started our own photography channel and we'd love to get the feedback of other creatives on UA-cam. Not expecting you to watch all our vids or sub (but THAT would be lovely hahah) either way, have a great day, hope to see more content from you soon :-)
Lush quality. like If you would like to make film like this
just checked out your channel. really liked your recent film
Laika already does.
His photos are kind of... Dark. Would like to have seen more light use
I thought he was going to mist spray Popeye's coat to make little beads of rain, and maybe use a longer exposure to get some motion in the falling raindrops.
Too much time spent advertising the props and not enough perfecting the shot, in my humble opinion. Love the moody lighting though.
I like what he does like but like the word like like needs to be used like it should be like not all the like time! Jeez. Can't people say a damn sentence without adding extraneous "likes" every other frickin word. Like.
