@TezzTezz11 Well, it will take a minute to get used to a curved UltraWide but once you do it will work fine for video editing. Curved Ultra-Wide Monitors are definitely better than none curved ones.
So curved monitors are great for gaming and most pc use. But flat panels are better for RPG gaming and photo/video editing. Curved monitors have a learning curve that you won't know until you use one. If you have a curved monitor currently the Philips will feel right at home.
I have this very monitor and was very happy with it for the short time I had with it but be warned you might find it impossible to get it repaired if you damage it. My experience with Philips customer support was terrible with no assistance available in Cyprus/Greece. I now have an expensive desktop paper weight :(
Oh no that sucks! I had a Philips coffee maker for several years, then it died from normal use (I think) called customer service and was happy with their help, but ultimately, I was not able to fix or replace it. Now I too have a very heavy and big paper weight lol 🙄
@@AtHomewithLucas My second screen for the last 10 years have been an old Eizo. Looking for a new good not too expensive screen with more space to work on.
It seems like a decent productivity and entertainment monitor, but I wouldn't use it for gaming. The hertz is too low and it's a VA panel. If you want something similar that's for gaming, I'd go with the LG 34GP950G-B. Cute monitor, though.
@@AtHomewithLucas thanks for the quick response! could you perhaps show/tell me what happens when you go into presenter mode in powerpoint? I'm curious to know if the entire screen is covered. e.g. have a look at the HP E45c G5, where only half is covered (I know it is substantially bigger)
Would this be ideal for video editing?
Yes and no. Do you currently have a curved monitor?
@@AtHomewithLucas no , I’m looking to get a ultrawide monitor though

thank you for going over the feature of pip and pbp no one goes over that
Oh happy to help. Didn't know if it was good to add or not.
Great review! Which one would you advise to get between this one and the Samsung ViewFinity S5 you reviewed a couple of months ago?

Thanks Lucas! Keep up the good work
@skybassofficial3224 happy to help 😁
Would you recommend this monitor for $314 or would the AOC CU34G3S for $340 be a better option?
AOC for straight gaming. Philips for all-around great monitor.

How is this screen for working with Premiere Pro, with an iMac 27" ?
From what I know you may want to go with a flat panel. Do you currently have a curved monitor?

@janrolsenfoto This will be a slight learning curve literally. But I think it will work great. Otherwise just go with a ultawide flat monitor.

Yes, I definitely agree with all you said! I'll check out that monitor for a review soon. 💯😁
Wow, that monitor is awesome and half off!
True story I've never owned a LG product lol
does this charge my laptop when plugged in with usb-c?
You need a usb c display/power cable. This monitor has a power usb c port so it will work fine. 💯😁
