Love DJI Care Refresh Express. I have used it once and sent the drone on a Monday and had it back in hand before by Thursday of the same week. I paid for mine and printed the label and shipped on Monday the May 17th, and the replacement was delivered back to me on Thursday the 20th of May. Super quick, but then again, in my case the town it went to is only about 60 miles from my home. @@PhillipSkraba just got an email from DJI, well ok, a couple of them, this is what was in the last email they sent me: "This message is from DJI Support. After testing your product, DJI has determined to provide you with free repair service. The repair is expected to be finished within 3 to 6 business days, after which the product will be sent back to you. Thank you for choosing DJI. "
Excellent! Excellent! Excellent! I had a minor crash when I landed on the roof of my car and it slud off to the ground. I must have warped a propeller since I subsequently got a message saying the propellers were rotating too fast. I will replace them as this does not obviously qualify as a crash per se.
I've had mine fall of the car so many times, never had a problem though, it takes a lot of abuse with me. Sure, swap the props and you should be fine. However, props spinning too fast, that sounds fun 😂
I saw your shattered drone in the opening and thought, "oh no, DJI sent my crashed Mini 2 to Phillip Skraba!" LOL. I second the motion on DJI Care Refresh. They certainly did right by me. Love the scenes at the end.
hahaha, now that would have been a funny video!! Yes, excellent service from DJI. Thank You, I thought I'd film a quick sequence showing it works perfectly.
That's really fast replacement process. If it's available in my country (Indonesia) i definitely will get DJI care express plan for my mini 2. Hopefully they will expand the availability in other countries soon! Nice episode! Thanks for sharing
First of all, thank you! Second I crashed also my DJI mini 2 on the First of July my birth date, purchased on 28 June with only 1Hour and 7 Minutes of fly. I did the DJI care in the first 48 hours, and I was curious to see the process to see how to send it back and what is better to do. I saw your video yesterday and send the drone on 12 July. Super sad about the accident that is also recorded on the cashing, but I'm sadder than I lost amazing moments with my family that I could film with the drone in fantastic places. Still waiting for the replacement, but is not the fault of DJI more of the currier local collectors!
Hi there, we are sorry to hear about that. May we have your case number? We will ask our related team to look into your case and check if there have any logistics issues. Thanks for your response.
Sorry to hear that, it happens to the best of us. It looks like DJI wants to help you, so give them your case number and I'm sure they'll get on top of it.
@@DJISupportChannel Hello, Thank you very much for your support my case number is: CAS-6752014-T6G5C8 I send also the battery by the moment that was in the DJI care process, is on the same package but not connected to the drone for security reasons I know that the service from DJI is amazing and I do not expect anything less. Is important for the community to know that you have your support because let's face it is a hobby with many environmental factors = Risks. Very happy with the Mini 2, now I'm also aiming for the FPV model, Also Philip thank you for the FPV review
@@DJISupportChannel Hello, Sorry to bother but now it seems that there is some logistic issue I got the UPS code but they are still in Label Creation, and no expedition
Recently had my mini 3 replaced with the express replacement and, while it took some time for the package to get there via UPS (from Lithuania it was sent to an authorized service in Hungary), they shipped it back to me via DHL in *one.day.* Less than 24 hours, and the next 2 days were holidays so that would've delayed it a while more, overall took a single week and I got a new (slightly sub-par QC) mini 3. Though shame they don't offer an expedited service option instead of full on replacement, my mini 3 had a single broken arm and no other damage and it was basically new (10 days old), while I got one that has quite a few cosmetic QC issues even if it flies alright, so it's a bit of a waste. :)
What's everyone's feeling on how many years you should purchase? One year for a Air 2s is $99 and 2 years is $169. I'm thinking buying the two year now but this is my first drone and not sure if I'll keep it that long. You can extend the one year as long as you do it before it expires and you have one replacement left, You're looking at $89 more. So you're looking at $189 versus 169 if you purchase it up front. What's everyone's opinion
This is a hard one. I buy one year Care as I'll probably sell my Mini 2 when I buy the Mini 3. I can't afford to keep both, nor do I have the need to. However, I will probably pick up the 2 year plan when the Mavic 3 Pro comes out as I'm pretty sure that's a drone I'll be using for a couple of years.
@@PhillipSkraba it was 169 vs 99 so i got the 2 year. I figured, I spent this much why not another 69 for another year. I'm sure I'll have a opps by then.
Wish I got dji refresh on my mini 2 got it for my air 2 and pocket 2 but I'm always using my mini 2 wonder if I can still get it the only reason I didn't is because I always fly in open spaces but seeing your video and how quick dji have sorted your case out makes it well worth the money think ill contact them to see if I can still get it. Well done my friend love the videos as normal can't wait for more dji your the best love there product's 😁👌👍🇬🇧
Thank You! I'm 100% sure how it works after activation, drop them an email, I know there is a service where you film your drone, show them it flies and somehow that is accepted. Like I said though, not 100% sure about that. I make sure I DJI Refresh everything now, it just saves me so much money and hassle in case something goes wrong, and if you fly like a nutter as I do, well, accidents happen. All the best, can't wait to get back home and see the Queen 🇬🇧
On a Mini2 a Refresh plan is very worth it. I mean, I would rather have such a plan on a mini without all the obstacle avoidance sensors than my Mavic 2 Pro, with all those sensors... I do have plans on both... _Greetings from The Netherlands, where your replacement came from. Eindhoven is about an hour away from me... er... as is about the rest of the Netherlands. (Tiny country)_
Another great vidoe mate. Well done and something that I don't doubt a lot of DJI owneres would find very very interesting. Stay safe and keep the vids coming. They keep us all saine. Oh, and as always a BIG thumbs up. Come to think of it you have never ever made a bad or mediocre video. They have all bee great.
Thank You Kym! Yes, I thought this video would be helpful to others who might be worried about this experience or not sure how it works. So documenting my story was for you guys so you can see that the DJI Refresh service and how well it actually works. I'm glad you liked it Kym, thanks for the continued support!
I went from mini to mini 2..after 15 mins i broke it!(made video about) Faster then the Mini..and was my fault but i had to send back..pain in ass but the refesh care took almost 3 weeks..no issues since.I have 1 more crash under warranty lol..
That sounds like bad luck and a little bit of trigger happiness. I know the feeling, I'm super trigger happy, tonnes of near misses 😂 3 weeks sounds long, with this Express service it'll be a ton faster next time, let's hope there is no next time though. Keep 59 Euro in your sock though, just in case.
I didn't understand the program, and now read 'unactivated' or 'activated within the last 48 hrs' Well I activated a few days ago but couldn't fly as I am too close to the airport. Weather has been crap so I have not been out yet. The props literally have not even spun a single rotation. The sales guy at the camera store made no mention. I will see if they will cover me, and check back. If not lesson learned and I will be very very careful flying my Mini 2. Wish me luck.
So, in the case you've been out and about activated over 48 hours, use the link in the description below, that should allow you to video confirm your drone is in good condition, and then DJI will sell you the Refresh, which I VERY highly recommend. It's saved me a load of money and allows for stress free flying.

We’re all human Rick, sometimes we screw up, I know I have a ton of times, I have good intentions though, and I love helping people. I’m sure he meant no harm, this UA-cam thing sometimes gets the best of us and the pressure builds up, replying to hundreds of comments instead of spending the evening with our families, it takes a toll. I feel it and it’s not easy. We do our best out here, and there are times we put out bad advice or information, I’ve seen it and I’ve done it, completely unintentionally, due to lack of sleep and attention to detail. Let’s remember we all make mistakes. It’s good listening to UA-camrs and influencers, however it’s always important to do your own homework and research, let’s hope our Canadian friends did that.

I wonder if you could make a video how to re- calibrate the DJI mini2 remote control,,, my remote control been playing up and it say remote not connected to aircraft. I’m a bit scared to use it just in case I might lose it the drone
2 questions: 1) do you still recommend Mini 2? 2) do you think a non-often flier also needs dji care? If I fall the product without my fault, DJİ is supporting the damaged/lost product?
Sure I do, it's an excellent little drone!! Yes, always, always pick up DJI Refresh for your DJI products, it'll save you a ton of money if things go wrong!
OK!. Mini 2 is really great, I am trying to find out some ways to increase its night performance. Night shots are really dark. I was considering to buy A2S for night shots, but didn't do that because of 1)expense 2)regulations 3)wasn't logical to buy a drone for night shots only. 4)I didn't need active track at all.
If you check out some of my videos, I use it for night shots. If it's super dark, 25fps, then drop it into Auto mode, it'll drop your fps to a minimum, if you flow slow and smooth, you won't notice it, but you'll get a little more light, and of course ISO 3200. Noise, yep, but that doesn't bother me too much.
hey phillip im glad you got it and so glad you made a vid on it .like to think you remembered on me chatting with you on making a Mini 2 vid and thanks but wow i cringe on the one that you crash
Hey Rick, haha, I can't make one on my crash as I don't have that footage, I was concentrating on changing settings whilst flying forward and not looking at the screen, and then I just fell out of the air 😂 Bird 🦅
ok, but what if you don't have dji care refresh? can you get it after first 48 hours? because it wasn't available in shop where i bought a drone... i heard you can buy it only from dji after sending them varification video that everything is working... i want to know what kind of video, to see if it will work
Did it come with active track? I hear some of the new mini 2’s come with Active Track. Or better horizon because the Nootka on on some peoples drones got screwed up.
I wish you could extend the refresh plan, but because of requirements: · Brand new and un-activated aircraft; · Aircraft activated within the last 48 hours. seems like it's not possible, i wish it was, would have to worry less when flying a drone once a year goes by.
No, unless the battery is damaged, however, if it's damaged to an extent that it's dangerous, get that thing recycled asap, send DJI a photo that you can't send it back due to potential explosion.
Hi Philip, just wondering if I can still purchase the DJI Care refresh even though I had my drone last year December!! I did find out some few problem in mind and need replacement instead!!! Thank you so much for your help!!
"Hit the dislike button twice.....!", hahahaha Brilliant. Also loving the original Dymo labeller. That's what I use too. Loving the channel, keep up the great work
I sent mine off to DJI Refresh last Saturday, got the email today - £45 to replace under Refresh or £345 if I don't... Easy decision - new drone and battery on its way back to me!
It's a funny choice, right? Like buying a GoPro with or without the GoPro service. I'm very happy with DJI and their service, it's always been excellent.
Cool service from DJI. I did not know about this. Seeing a lot of videos with drones from you, soooo I don't know if it's that good, because I want one! Haha! 16:27 I use the exact label maker to label my batteries and cases! :))) Also the city looks really nice from the few shots with the UPS car and the fly zone.
It's an amazing service, I'm so happy this exists otherwise I'd be a lot more stressed when flying and a lot poorer. DJI do a great job with this. That label maker is awesome, I use it for everything, especially my batteries! The city is beautiful, very artistic, but flat as it gets, most of Poland is very flat, unless you go down south to the mountains, it's gets pretty bumpy down there.
@@PhillipSkraba I love that Inspire. Waiting for the Inspire 3. I have the original Mini, as well as the Autel Evo 2 Pro 6K. But the Inspire is a step up for sure. Love them.

Hello Phil, I'm planning to buy dji mini 2 this month. But my question is. What is crash my drone to tree or on the water and recover it. Does it include the dji care refresh? Thanks
Hi! Sure, DJI Refresh will cover everything really, you do need to physically send it to them to be able to sure the DJI Refresh, or if it drops into the sea, you'd have to use the Flyaway option, which is a little more expensive. It's worth it though, make sure you pick it up! If you need any links, you'll find them in the description of this video 🤜🏻🤛🏻
@@PhillipSkraba hello Phil it's me again wally. Sorry to bother. But I need your advice. If going to buy dji mini 2. Do you think the fly combo is way better than buying mini 2 by itself? Do u think the after market mini 2 accessories are cheaper? What's risk? Thank you.
I crashed my new drone and didn’t have any dji care pack. I sent it to them, and they said that they are going to repair it for free. Two days later, when I open the shipment. Its a brand new DJI mini 2. Dji support is fantastic!!
You then get a choice, repair, or Refresh. So basically for me personally, it's a waste of time, I'd rather just replace it straight up and get back to flying.
Hey dude! I was just curious if you have to register/put in the new serial number for the new replacement drone onto your profile. So if the accident is out, and you use your replacement service again, would you have to use the serial number on the new drone? And does DJI, automatically put in the new serial number on your account?
It gets automatically updated, in fact when I turned it on and re-linked the new drone to the controller, it showed up straight away on the screen that DJI Refresh had been updated.
@@PhillipSkraba This was the question that occurred to me while watching the video. It's actually quite impressive that it took care of this automatically.
Pretty sure they send refurbished units. The goggles they sent me were not nearly as bright as the ones I sent in for repair. They also had a different serial number.
Thanks for posting this. I was wondering about what the contents of the REFRESH box would contain. I thought it would come with another battery and controller. About to purchase one from another person who has a box unopened that looks like the non-fly more combo . This video answered my curiosity. Thanks!
A lot of DJI refresh Drones, are repaired, repackaged, and sent out back to the customer..you are not necessarily getting the drone origionaly sent out.
I didn't. I got a whole brand new drone as it was a replacement, not repair. I think via the Express service they send you out a new packaged drone, there is no time for them to fix the broken one.
@@PhillipSkraba I think yours was beyond repair tbh, I sent my Mavic 2 pro off, gimbal vibration. No crash, malfunction.. 10 days later I recieved my MP2 back. Serial numbers different..I queried this with DJI. It was common practice was the responce.. ( dji Netherlands)
I think all repairs in Europe go straight to the Netherlands, mine did too. My 2 Pro was replaced instantly, but that was because it has water damage, so they always replace those. However, I think if you choose the Express service like I did, as soon as they get your drone, they send a new one straight out. I'm not sure if that applies to more expensive drones like the Mavic 2 series though.
If you purchased a used mini 2 that had care refresh already in place is the cover still available/transferable for the new owner 🤔 enjoy your videos 👍🏻

@@PhillipSkraba no problem. I am hoping to hear something from them tomorrow.
@@PhillipSkraba just got an email from DJI, well ok, a couple of them, this is what was in the last email they sent me:
"This message is from DJI Support. After testing your product, DJI has determined to provide you with free repair service. The repair is expected to be finished within 3 to 6 business days, after which the product will be sent back to you. Thank you for choosing DJI. "
Super! Pěkný návod. Doufám že to nebudu nikdy potřebovat, ale koupené to pro jistotu mám. Přeji hezké záběry.
Thank You! Yes, it's best not to use it but to have it just in case.
Amazing footage at the end do you have a video showing us complete beginners how to use it? Thanks
Thank You! Sure, I have a beginners guide in the playlist 🔥
Great video. Hopefully the process will be as smooth if I ever have to send mine back from the UK.
Thank You! I'm sure it will be just as smooth!
Thanks for your time Phillip! Great video 👍🙏
You're welcome, thank you!
Excellent! Excellent!
Brilliant, Great to see you back up and flying again, that's a great turnaround, look forward to seeing more great videos from you
Thanks Martin! Yes, glad to have a fresh one in my hands!
Thanks, Phillip! Thanks, DJI! You guys are awesome!
Thanks Thomas! We're happy to be of service!
Thank You, I thought I'd film a quick sequence showing it works perfectly.
always entertaining as well as informative...you are part wild boar and church mouse..keep up the good work and inspiration for us all to push further
haha, that's a mixture that sounds like a ton of fun! Thank You, I will do!
I love your openings, they're always entertaining. Good information.
Thank You Lee, I like to have fun with them.
That's really fast replacement process. If it's available in my country (Indonesia) i definitely will get DJI care express plan for my mini 2. Hopefully they will expand the availability in other countries soon!
Nice episode! Thanks for sharing
Thank You! Yes, it's extremely fast and absolutely no hassle, so I'm very happy with it.
@@DJISupportChannel Hello, Thank you very much for your support my case number is:

I send also the battery by the moment that was in the DJI care process, is on the same package but not connected to the drone for security reasons
I know that the service from DJI is amazing and I do not expect anything less.
Is important for the community to know that you have your support because let's face it is a hobby with many environmental factors = Risks.
Very happy with the Mini 2, now I'm also aiming for the FPV model,
Also Philip thank you for the FPV review

@@DJISupportChannel Hello, Sorry to bother but now it seems that there is some logistic issue I got the UPS code but they are still in Label Creation, and no expedition
I buy the care refresh with every DJI drone! Better safe than sorry. I like how they have the fly away coverage now.
Yes, me too!! It's a lifesaver.
I had the same thing happen, and I had a new one back in two weeks with a new battery aswell. DJI is legit and a must have if you ask me.👍
It's great so many people have had positive experiences like myself with DJI Refresh! I'm glad you got yours back in the air Andrew!
Thanks Phillip
You're welcome!
Can you please make a video of your cinematic gimbal settings in dji mini 2 for smooth video? Thanks
Sure, you'll find those in this video - ua-cam.com/video/JhXF2P8QC7o/v-deo.html
@@PhillipSkraba Awesome. Thank You Sir 🙏🏼
Same time frame as my replacement......pretty efficient !!
Yes, so fast! DJI did a great job here!
$ out on the old math ! All counts.
Thanks for shared your experience but last week I just fix by local I already pay 7000 thb. For change camera 😭😭
Oh gosh, that sounds like a lot 😂

That's pretty long, good you have it though! Fly safe.
When you receive the new drone when does it offer you the option to purchase Refresh+ ? Basically 2nd drone replacement.

You’re welcome! I was hoping it would help others see how it works.
Really good vlog Phillip, useful to see the process so thanks 👍🏻
I'm glad you liked it Dave! Thank You.
Yes, it’s an excellent plan, and well worth it.

Great video, just going through the process of applying of the express option as I was watching this.
It’s a great option, super fast and practical.
Awesome Vid and information Phill👏👏👏👏🙌
Thank You!
I didn't understand the program, and now read 'unactivated' or 'activated within the last 48 hrs'
Well I activated a few days ago but couldn't fly as I am too close to the airport.
Thanks for the info.

@@PhillipSkraba HEY friend well this is extremely hard to talk about i regret even mentioning his name really ,but i believe you no him and even friends with him and thats great hes a Mini 2 UA-cam channel and for the most part very very good he helps people even me but i dont sub to him no more but i still watch him all the time , he did something really bad on one of his vids tho and im still upset about it he did a vid on how to make money with the mini 2 ,great right and it is but he had said that Canadians needed a license with a sub 249g drone for commercial use and thats completely on true ,i brought this up to him and he never investigated this so now Canadian people that have the MM or the Mini 2 that belive him will spend as much as 100s and even 1000s to take a test or course thinking they need a commercial license with the Mini 2 thats very sad ,Sorry for the rant friend

Sorry about your old Mini 2. Are we going to get to see the video of it's demise?
It happens, the new one is nice too! I'm afraid I don't have the footage of that.

That is very odd, delete everything and start fresh!
@@PhillipSkraba thank you so much 😊 will do that!! Have a good day
2 questions:
1) do you still recommend Mini 2?
Bro, how did you do this? No video exists on what happened?
haha, we don't need to talk about that Kevin. That's for a need to know 007 basis 😂

Hey Rick, haha, I can't make one on my crash as I don't have that footage, I was concentrating on changing settings whilst flying forward and not looking at the screen, and then I just fell out of the air 😂 Bird 🦅
@@PhillipSkraba Oh so it was a bird ,those darn birds
ok, but what if you don't have dji care refresh? can you get it after first 48 hours? because it wasn't available in shop where i bought a drone... i heard you can buy it only from dji after sending them varification video that everything is working... i want to know what kind of video, to see if it will work
Did it come with active track? I hear some of the new mini 2’s come with Active Track. Or better horizon because the Nootka on on some peoples drones got screwed up.
I wish you could extend the refresh plan, but because of requirements:
· Brand new and un-activated aircraft;
· Aircraft activated within the last 48 hours.
seems like it's not possible, i wish it was, would have to worry less when flying a drone once a year goes by.
Same here, I’d love to extend!
When you send it back to them do you have to send the battery as well?
No, unless the battery is damaged, however, if it's damaged to an extent that it's dangerous, get that thing recycled asap, send DJI a photo that you can't send it back due to potential explosion.
Looking forward to an incredible experience as your own. I just sent my DJI FPV out yesterday. I miss it so very much.
Hi Philip, just wondering if I can still purchase the DJI Care refresh even though I had my drone last year December!! I did find out some few problem in mind and need replacement instead!!! Thank you so much for your help!!
Hi Romina, apparently so! There is a link in the description of this video on how to go through the video verification, that should work I've heard.
I want to ask if I can get (Dji care refresh ) if i buy used dji drone or i must buy it new to get this service .
Thanks in advance ❤️
"Hit the dislike button twice.....!", hahahaha Brilliant. Also loving the original Dymo labeller. That's what I use too. Loving the channel, keep up the great work
The Dymo labeller saves my life!! It's such a good tool to have, it just speeds up my workflow. Thanks Garry!
Let me check if it is a mini 2. I was thinking that maybe they would have sent you an inspire 2 inside that little box
I would have fainted 😂 I love the Inspire 2! Owning one would be a dream 🔥

Thanks Lucy! It's a damn shame it isn't worldwide, I would have crashed so many times in Mauritius by now!
I paid the insurance but something went wrong apparantly, but my crashed drone was repaired by DJI for about 100 euro. So the drone is back in my arms again. Could I buy dji care still months after the purchase the purchase and after the reparations.
That is odd. Well, I'd get in touch with DJI Support and ask them if that's possible after a crash.
Very informative thank you. 😀

You're welcome Paul!
I have mav air 2 and just got the refresh. A lot better to pay 130 then another 1500
Yes! It’s well worth it 👌🏻
If you send in your drone, and its deemed now repairable, you pay the more expensive fee correct, or?
@@PhillipSkraba oh okay! Thank you so much🤙😎
@@PhillipSkraba This was the question that occurred to me while watching the video. It's actually quite impressive that it took care of this automatically.
Yes, I was surprised too!
The first time I did this, when I started the drone and opened the app if popped up asking me to link the drone to my DJI care, super easy.
Did you have to do a firmware update? Ours came back with the same QR code but needed a firmware so I think its a new chassis.
Mine is completely new, and I needed to update straight away. Did you use Express?
It was warranty but turn around was 6 days incl postage to NZ via UPS.
Also super fast! Great.
Man…. Very well documented. You nailed it. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Pretty sure they send refurbished units. The goggles they sent me were not nearly as bright as the ones I sent in for repair. They also had a different serial number.

Thanks!
liked and subbed btw.
@@PhillipSkraba
I think yours was beyond repair tbh,
I sent my Mavic 2 pro off, gimbal vibration.
Good video, I learned a lot.
I’m happy to hear that!
Well done DJI
Yes, well done DJI!
Can you still buy the refresh if you buy a second hand dji drone?
I think that could be possible using the verification video, there is a link in the description of this video.
Hi Phillip, what's after the one year? Is it possible to renew the care refresh?
Sure, I did, you can renew it for another year and crash into a ton more stuff 🤘🏻

Gday Phil,
Thanks for the video hopefully something I'll never need to use.
One question, how did you pack the battery for postage
I so want to visit it looks so spectacular
Hi David, let's hope so! I just stuck it the Mini 2 upside down, so it wasn't connecting. It wasn't damaged, only a little bit of the plastic, so decided it was safe to do that.
