your video is soooo helpful for a beginner. As beginners my wife and I always avoided sports mode, but I see now that exercising in sports mode can perfectly help a beginner to train his/her finger movements getting smooth!
Thank You Hugo! Yes!! Sports Mode is excellent, as long as you have a large open space and keep it far away from your head, or your wife's head, try it out and see how delicately you can control it.

Thanks for the info in this video. Stick pinching comes from the old school r/c hobby, which traditionally uses much bigger controllers. Michael, have fun with it, go to a really open space where you can't hit much and just move it around, once you get the hang of it, pull it up high enough over any trees and let it rip in Sports Mode, just to get the feel of it. Play around with it, don't be afraid of it, it's just a drone. The only think I recommend is learning somewhere where you can't do damage to property or people, and hopefully not your drone. Have fun!

Amazing, I'm watching this video since I got my DJI mini 2 two days ago, Is freezing and snow out here in Canada and I'm thinking on going out to the park and do my first flight. I also got a frozen lake closed by. Definitely this video is encouraging
Yes, that's correct! The more you fly it, the more trouble you get it, the more you get it closer to the ground, higher up, through the trees the better pilot you'll be!
Excellent video. As new owner of the fantastic DJi Mini 2 bought on 13 November can attest it is a very capable drone. I am new to drone flying and have been learning based on repetition and easy routines similar to what you show here. Great video thanks for sharing. Looking forward to good weather and trying out my filters and continuing to get flying abilities to being more second nature. Enjoying the many instructional videos you have posted up. Thank you.
Thank You! I agree, the Mini 2 is a very capable drone, especially if you learn to fly it and control it, so it's as said, second nature, and it should be. Once you get to that stage you'll be pulling off some stunning shots. The area you are in is beautiful, the trees are stunning. I'd recommend trying out different shots, high and low. A drone is made for flying, but remember that doesn't necessarily mean you have to be high in the sky. Have fun, practice a lot.

Winter in Utah! I would LOVE to see that!! I would go drone crazy out there! The closest I've been is Grand Canyon West, next time I'll make it to Utah! I can't wait either. Thank You, that was one I put a lot of heart and soul into.

You're welcome! I've been saving up for a year for my next drone too, the Mavic 3, hopefully it'll drop this year and I'll have enough saved up to get it.
I started flying FPV race/free style drones and just got a dji mini 2 se and stick pinch grip is ideal for race quads because it gives you better control. You can't afford a tumb slip when your moving 80+ kilometers per hour. For the dji drones I find it is better to use only thumbs so you can use the gimbal roll and because my index finger, knuckle kept touching the screen of my phone when I tried flying pinch grip.I find both stick grips to be effective but for drones that use phones as the video receiver, I only use thumbs. Thank you for your video, man
I got my mini 2 four weeks ago. I'm a freek now! You explained it very well. I had to learn myself. And I am just a beginner. But I have much fun and many Projekts.
Another great video! I really need to get out there and get comfortable with "Sport" mode. Practice, practice, practice! Thanks for breaking things down in all your videos.
Thank You! Sports mode is awesome. I fly in it quite a lot, especially up high so as to show movement. Get that drone in the air, get up 60m and kick it into gear, nothing to be afraid of, or even right next to you, see how slow you can actually get the Mini 2 to move, it's great practice.
Got mine two weeks ago and cannot wait to fly. Thanks for the video which has taken away my anxiety of losing the drone quickly by not being able to fly after having waited so long 👍
Glad to see it works well in the cold. Taking my on my snowboard trip, going to hit some places outside the resort and get some footage. Had a Parrot Bebop previously and the mini 2 is miles better.
Oh the Mini 2 is much better than the Parrot! Yes, no problems in the cold, I bet it'll look incredible up in the mountains with snow all around. Have fun and be careful!

I just bought mine. I will follow your guidelines.
Great, have fun with it!
@@PhillipSkraba First day was great, second day I crashed it against a tree. I was lucky it fell to the ground, about six inches from the water. After that, it has been all fun. I love it.
great turtorial. The drone said "weak GPS Signal", i always panic when i get that. (i often get it here in germany) how do you handle the warnings? or do you just ignore it lol
Very nice, thanks for being clear and making humors
You're welcome!
Great tutorial! I am now convinced with this model, thank you!
awesome video! I really love these scenes at the beginning. it still shivers me when I think of these people swimming in that cold water 😅
Just ordered the mini 2. Cant wait for it to come. So exited!
You’re going to love it!
Another great video. Winter in Utah too. Can’t wait for spring. Your video on Ice was awesome.
Winter in Utah! I would LOVE to see that!! I would go drone crazy out there! The closest I've been is Grand Canyon West, next time I'll make it to Utah! I can't wait either. Thank You, that was one I put a lot of heart and soul into.
Awesome Phillip, great tutorial I'm looking forward to flying my new DJI Mini 2 now thanks.
That was fabulous well done I've ordered my first drone today dji mini 2 combo for £480 including delivery from Very, All the best from the UK.
You'll love it Tony, have fun!
You the man Best wishes from the UK to your Subscribers and yourself. SW
Thank You! Welcome to the channel Steve!
I don't have a drone right now. But i am starting to save money for it. and this is very helpful for me as a newbie. Very much thank you sir. 2 thumbs up!
You're welcome! I've been saving up for a year for my next drone too, the Mavic 3, hopefully it'll drop this year and I'll have enough saved up to get it.
@@PhillipSkraba WOW. Well, let's save for this things that we love. good luck to all of us.
Yes, I agree!!
Cheers mate. Best tutorial I've seen to date.
Thank You, glad you liked it!
Love your videos! Buying my Mini 2 tomorrow!
Thank You! Have fun with it, if you need a link I have a few in the description of this video 👌🏻
Thank You! Well, have fun, be careful and stick that thing in Sports Mode for some fun 🔥
Got my mini 2 yesterday, very informative thank you.
You’re welcome, have fun with it!
Solid video, man. Still trying to figure out what drone I want.
Thanks for that video. Haven't launched my mini 2 yet, I'll be looking for the wood booger this summer in sport mode no doubt.🇨🇦
love this guide and style of presentation , cheers man!
You're welcome, thank You!
Thank you for the tips. I just got a mini2. Keep up the good videos.
You're welcome, I hope you enjoy it!
Def the best starter vid for me out of them all ...thanks Phil...grateful !!
Thanks Mike, glad it helped!
Hi Phillip, thanks for the great video featuring this amazing little beast. I can't wait for another one. Fly well!
You're welcome Marek! I'll drop another one soon 🔥
@@PhillipSkraba looking forward...
Honestly, no matter how many times a drone takes off, i just love the sound of them propellers ;-)
I’m with you on that one!
Just got myself a DJI Mavic mini 2 and love it, this is a great video
Thank You! Yes, it’s an excellent little drone 🔥
Bonus runners in the polar bear club. Nice.
haha, yes, something I'd love to do but can't bring myself to do 😂
Got mine two weeks ago and cannot wait to fly. Thanks for the video which has taken away my anxiety of losing the drone quickly by not being able to fly after having waited so long 👍
Don’t worry about a thing, relax, take it easy, learn to fly it in a wide open space and no sudden moves.
@@PhillipSkraba thanks 🙏
@@PhillipSkraba finding big open spaces in Hong Kong is a bit of a challenge 😂
🤜🏻🤛🏻
Phillip, I just got mine and your guide was the first one I checked out. Man, this is so easy to fly! Thanks mate!
Thank You, I'm glad you liked it! It's super easy to fly, have fun out there!
I have my mini 2 since today ahaha, your videos are amazingn! tomorrow i will try this, thanks!
Thanks for the flip-to-turn-off trick :D I often fight with my mini2 to land!
haha, sometimes I need to do that if it's playing with me.
Great video, hi from a fellow Pole in Australia :) Subscribed and liked!
Thank You! Welcome to the channel George!
Thanks so much, really helpful
You're welcome!
Hi Philip great simple clear instruction's. Learning to fly is so easy now having been struggling for some time now. Keep up the good work.
Thank You, I'm happy it came in handy. Have fun out there and be careful 🥶
This video is great, much more helpful than the DJI tutorials. Thank you so much. Just picked up a Mini 2 the other day and gave it its first spin today.
Thank You! I’m glad I could help, have fun with it!
great video man and appreciated....going out to use my mini 2 for the first time tomorrow!!! pretty pumped and excited
Thank you Philip! I’ve never flown a drone and now I understand and know what to expect! Will be buying my Mavic Mini 2 soon! Thanks again!
You're welcome Rob! Have fun, get it in a safe place, at a safe height and let it rip!
Great video for beginners, stunning scenery 👌. As for the nutters getting in that water 😳😳
Thank You, this is Lodz, Poland, in the snow it looks pretty magical. Yes, made me shiver!
Excellent video. As a total beginner I learned a lot. Thank you.
You’re welcome James, glad you liked it.
