Actually the opposite, this is lousy timing for IFly were just a month and a half from 2024 with it's own MAX. In the past that would be no competition but with the latest pattern of releasing default aircraft that is close to if not is payware quality like the Inibuilds A320-NEO people may wait to see how the 2024 version is. If it's good, it may be enough for those who just want a decent representation of a MAX. Then you have the announced plans for one by PMDG who may wait cutting Ifly's sales even more.

@@tf51d iFly probably didn't even know that Asobo is making a Max, and if the aircraft is close to release, why would they delay or cancel the project? It's also important to remember that the Max in FS24 is not being made by Ini but by Asobo themselves. From what I've seen it's definitely going to be a bit more advanced than the mess the 747 and 787 were before Working Title took over, but it's still not going to be anywhere near the same level as iFly.

Finally a GREAT max8! And great competition for PMDG, they too make great stuff but its good that they are finally shown in person that they don't have a ''monopoly'' over Boeing in this sim. iFly and Bluebird will add great competition that will make the Boeing fleet better overall! Great to see!
What "A game"? The last time PMDG developed a new aircraft, it was the sub-par 777-200ER's they made 4 years after the 77W/L/F. All they do is create newer V2 and V3 versions of the same three aircraft. 747-400/8, 737NG and 777. I can bet you that their MAX was nothing but an NG with different engines. They are also proven liars so I won't be surprised if they lied about the real reason they decided to halt development of their MAX. This is the competition for their arse we all needed. Either they pull their fingers out their arses andstop dragging their feet with all these different projects their juggling at the same time, while taking 5 months between variants of the same flipping aircraft type or they slowly wither away. Either way, I and most other PMDG customers have had enough of their bs.
I’m not an airliner guy mostly because I haven’t learned them yet. There is something about this product that appeals to me. Visually it has a clarity and detail that you just don’t get often. I’m on Xbox so I don’t know if this would run but I’m definitely going to look at this for 2024. I think this is a wonderful achievement in what’s possible.

Very nice preview mate :-) looks awesome, hade be nice see how aircraft behaiv in turbelence and variation of wind at ILS aprouch and take off, litle more challenge for aircraft system to handle, but it looks so faar very good aircraft, and good with more than pmdg who do quality aircraft, so maybe this is a keeper in my fleet in future :-)
How did you get the Landing Rate Widget to work? For me it shows the Rate, but clicking on the "i" doesnt do anything. I use thr default Flow Pro widget. Great review, can't wait to finally get my hands on a max, let alone such a stunning high-fidelity one! Also looking forward to more content featuring this beautiful bird.

Looks very good. I did have the iFly in PDv4.5 - Cheaper than PMDG and as good. Pity its' coming out now rather than a few months earlier... But it does look good and certainly worth a consideration to buy.
Definitely one I will purchase. I can’t see the PMDG version improving on this. No negativity towards PMDG though, just won’t need their Max now. I don’t like the yellow text warnings from the RAAS on screen, most pilots aren’t deaf.
I Fly have been around since the Fsx days but their products never really floated my boat. That's all changed with this release. They have now set a new Gold bar standard. We are the winners in this sim war.

Where this really shines is the new standard for cabin modeling! I know everyone compares this to PMDG but I think this is a better match up for the Asobo one coming soon in 2024, the PMDG is like a out dated model that is desperately in need of updating!!! I know they have a lot of other release priorities and with new SDK coming I imagine they will focus on that. However I agree with most PMDG will need to step their game up for the 737!
Yes a IFR flight with the currently world´s best simulated aircraft that was ever made through dark rainy clouds. Harsh weather conditions and full instrument (and night flights) are always the best! Unfortunately there is no cockpit night lighting presentation of this airplane currently showcased in any video, only a detailed presentation of the cabin lights on the iFly channel which is beyond gorgeous. Maybe you will be the first one doing a full night flight through a thunderstorm with this brandnew and best ever MAX.... ;)

Looks good so how would you say score wise it compares to flight model and handling to PMDG 737’s? Not heard of iFly before don’t think I seen anything on msfs 2020. I suspect then this be between 50-65 ish atm my pc is buggered not sure when I be able to fly again in sim atm

Aaccchhh why did they do this now?? I just bought the PMDG 737 600 as my first try at Airline flying and I find it so interesting. Now this appears and I want it too but don’t want to leave the 600 behind.
I wish they wouldn’t do all the previews until the aircraft is ready. There are lots and lots of systems bugs with this aircraft, and everyone is just saying how amazing it is because it looks good. If and when the systems get done properly, then it will be a great aircraft.

I have purchased a number of PMDG aircraft for previous versions of MSFS but was disappointed with their FS2020 738 so it looks like this iFly 737 MAX8 will replace the PMDG aircraft. I hope the cockpit displays are clearer than PMDG's in VR

It’s a different version of the 737 and form the various streams the systems , quality of the textures , multiple additional features. It’s not only different it’s way way better than PMDG.
Stuff like this is why the new aerosoft a330 get so much hate. Planes are held to a much higher standard than the P3D days and people aren’t letting companies get away with half baked garbage anymore.
It'll be interesting to see whether this will be sold on the MSFS Marketplace and also become compatible with the FS2024 Career Mode, as this would be a major contender for my future airline passenger flights, with PMDG yet to confirm that their 737 range will be, and the Fenix range probably not able to be included.

This is the level of detail that I wanted out of the PMDG but unfortunately didn’t get. So glad to see this from Ifly. Day one purchase no doubt.

the MSFS 2024 737max will not be anything like this - it's a default aircraft and will be similar to quality as the MSFS default A320neo etc

You can open and close the windows. You can’t do that with the PMDG 737…..some of the windows are shut 😑

You know you can also put the window blinds up and down in the cabin. They auto close depending on the suns location

It'll be interesting to see whether this will be sold on the MSFS Marketplace and also become compatible with the FS2024 Career Mode, as this would be a major contender for my future airline passenger flights, with PMDG yet to confirm that their 737 range will be, and the Fenix range probably not able to be included.
