I like the taller chairs in the center. It gives a contrast whereas with them on the ends the shorter chairs look too straight across.
The tall chairs in the middle. They draw the eye, unusually appealing. E
The taller chairs definitely look better at the ends of the table, Julie. I love your thrifting videos. So much fun to shop "with you".
Girl, I can’t believe you passed on the iron footstool. I would definitely have brought that home with me!
Have to agree with Sherry on this one Julie. That footstool would have been divine with your dropcloth upholstery skills !!!
@@cherylmacedo5521 ❤️
I was thinking the same. 🤗
I like the tall chairs on the side in the middle. They are not captains chairs and add a different vibe to the setting.
I like the taller chairs on the ends they look more like mother and father’s chairs (or captain and first mate chairs? Lol) The next tallest ones should be in the middle sides, and shortest on the outside sides of table. Did that make sense?
Yes - what Judy said ! LOL
*I agree 100% with @Judy Williamson on the dining room chair placement!*
I agree too. Keep the tall ones at the end but move the two with handles at top to the center sides. Soooooo cute!
Yes also agree with Judy 💯
Love the taller chairs on the sides as opposed to the ends.
I love the taller chairs at the end. At one time they were expensive. Can’t believe someone threw them away. I enjoyed your shopping trip
I definitely like the taller chairs on the ends and also I would put the ones with the knobs and the cut outs in the middle of the sides to make it look more balanced. Love all your videos!
I agree! 👍
Yes this!
Me too
Agree
I like the balance of the taller chairs in the middle.
I like the taller ones in the middle. The shorter chairs give you a great view of your beautiful fireplace.
Put the taller chairs in the centre of the table....more pleasing to the eye because your line of vision moves up and down along the table. When the taller ones are at the end, the long row of short ones doesn't have sufficient "energy".....kinda boring. Love the mix of chairs!
I always feel so depressed when it's time to take down the Christmas decorations but now I'm totally inspired to get my regular decor out and DIY again. I saw so many good ideas to recreate.
I really like the taller chairs at the ends of the table. I love your thrift videos. This also helped calm my withdrawal symptoms of not having been out myself for way too long. I haven't been thrifting since before Christmas!! So thank you for feeding my addiction lol. You and the family have a wonderful and safe New Year's, see you in the next video!
I like the taller chairs on the end too. It just gives the head of the table vibes to me and I like that.
I like the taller chairs on the end and I absolutely love the mix of the chairs. Glad you brought home that weird brass bird. I would have done the same!
On the end. You were so lucky finding them on the side of the road. Great video, thanks for sharing. Happy New Year.
I love the taller chairs at the ends of the table. I would also take the other 2 chairs with the spindles on too and put those chairs in the middle on the sides of the table with the other 2 chairs on each side of those for a more balanced look. I LOVE that little Brass chicken or duck That you found. So cute!
*Julie, I believe the 2 heavy wrought iron pieces you found like the piece you are using as a towel rack at your house in LA are floor or wall heating grates. The handle makes them easier to move for cleaning the vents. The wicker "bust" is a display mannequin for scarves and jewelry in a department store, so as to call attention to the merchandise being displayed, rather than the mannequin itself. Would be gorgeous on a dressing table, large dresser or vanity and what a GREAT price!*
Those are actually from an older, 1980’s vintage Jenn-Air range with grill option. I know this because it’s the stove I have. Those are the “coals” that hold the heat when the grill is in use. They are made out of cast iron I believe. Using as a towel bar, interesting idea.
@@robinnieto2703 *THANK YOU so much for sharing this information with us, Robin! Yes, repurposed items certainly are a study in "thinking outside of the box", aren't they?💜*
Julie the wooden and glass item is called a rub boar
d for washing clothes in glass one is usually used for lingerie and delicate items my grandma and your grandma probably use them love your show , Love all your ideas for reusable items .
I like the taller chairs on the sides. It adds more interest.
Thanks Jule had a blast hanging out with you today! Tyler best on end absolutely
That Iron stool would be magic on my huge diningroom table. Love that drama!
I love those taller chairs, can't believe someone threw them away. Put them on the ends of the table. What a fun shopping trip.
I’m glad I wasn’t the only one that the Christmas music was messing with. I can imagine anyone with a dog probably had their dogs going crazy lol. Loved the patriotic basket 🥰
A "new subscriber" . . . I have a shop using vintage finds [ laces, ribbons, wedding gowns, jewelry, etc. in creating all occasion gifts and home decor. Thursday's Child is my baby shop taking either "moms or grandmas" wedding gowns and design Christening Outfits . . . depending on the fabric and embellishments I usually create additional gifts for the consignee. I've been in business since 1957 and today continue to "thrift" . . . just love the hunt ! ! Looking forward to viewing more of your channel NY-USA
I really like the taller chairs on the ends. Love shopping with you …..lots of fun and it saves me money….Lol.
“If I was at home I wouldn’t have been productive, so I might as well go shopping” that my friend is the best quote ever . 🤣
I like the taller chairs on the ends of the table ! Loved shopping with you . You have a lot of GREAT thrift shopping options .
The Umbrella's are OK, but I LOVE your taste in BASKETS!!!! TWO THUMBS UP!!!!
I'm actually watching this video right now but had to pause it and answer your "Johnny Walker Bottle and Rocking Stand" question. So the older Uncles in our family used to tell tales of "Running Shine" back in the day, in Tennessee. They also used to save everything to make other things, creatively. One of the really creative Uncles would drink and create things just to hold his drinks, so he wouldn't spill them. He made a miniature "rocking chair" for his drink, so if he got a little "sideways" his drink could rock with him and not spill over. He managed to get his drink into that rocker without spilling it many times. When he would wake back up and look for his drink, it was in its rocking chair next to the bed where he had passed out. It did its job and kept the drink from spilling. Maybe that's the idea with the Johnny Walker Whiskey Bottle and Stand that you found?. Creative nonetheless. Lol.
Now I'm going to finish watching the rest of your video. Happy New Year!
Tall chairs on the end, favorite buy the swans!
What a awesome find on the roadside, l like both ways...
Love the taller chairs on the sides. It brings a better sense of balance to the table and improves the flow as you look through the room
I have a rolling pin, much like the one that you said might have to come home with you, that I keep in my nightstand drawer right next to my pistol. Pity the scoundrel that breaks into my house! I’m pretty sure the rolling pen is more dangerous than the pistol. Lol
I like the taller chairs on the end. Gives the feeling that its the head of the table where the parents sit. You really scored big time on those chairs, they’re beautiful. Wish we had those kind of antique malls where I live, I would go crazy in there.
Yes! Taller chairs on the ends. They're beautiful chairs too!
You look pretty today, Julie. Thx for taking us along.
I actually like the taller chairs in the center...looks even more eclectic...I love love love that specific mix of styles...perfection!
Great finds and the taller chairs deff on the ends
Tall chairs on end. Thank you for you fun shopping, cool project and infectious positivity.
I also have a washboard hanging in my laundry room. It gently reminds me that we don't have to scrub our clothes like that anymore!
I love your videos, I am a new subscriber. I like the taller chairs in the middle.
Those heavy iron squares with handles you use for a towel rake are from the grill side of a downdraft stovetop. The electric burner would heat them up and they would continue to hold the heat while the grill top above them seared your food.I have the exact one's in mine on the grill side. Mine is now over 20 years old and I'm about to replace it and was thinking I hate to throw those away because surely they could be used for something and when you said you used them for a towel rake, I thought, that's perfect! Thanks for the idea.
Yes i like the taller chairs on the ends of the table, all the different chairs look so good together..
Their the same color and look great together..
Love the stores tooday...
thanks for inviting me and takng me along ..🥰🥰🥰
A place like that is completely overwhelming - too much to see .... Not enough time and definately not enough money! 😂 Thanks for taking us along - this was fun!
Happy New Year!!!
I can't believe you didn't buy the bread boxes. You are so fortunate to have so many awesome thrifting shopping opportunities near you.
Taller chairs on end look great for the Host & Hostess, King & Queen, Mom & Dad, lol…
I LOVE those birds you passed on, if you go again & they’re there~ lmk I’ll tip you for a pick-up😁
The black things with the wire “handle” come from a Jen- Air electric stove. The are the flavor stones for the grill part of the stove. Didn’t think they tasted like cooking outside and they were messy to clean.
Wow, Jeanne - I would never in a million years have known that - I bet Jenn Air would never have thought that their stove parts would one day become towel racks - lol - I hope Julie sees your comment !
I also had a Jen-Air, hated cleaning those plates. Great shopping adventure, thanks for sharing!
Agree, taller chairs on the ends. I would also put the chairs that have the little knobs in the middle of the other chairs. Lol…..that was a fun shopping video! Wishing you and your family a happy, healthy and prosperous 2022!
The taller chairs on each end make more of a statement. They look like captain chairs.

Thanks for a fun shopping trip. I use to thrift but due to having an autoimmune disease I’ve had to be more cautious. It’s been challenging. I hardly ever watched you tube before Covid and it’s been fun watching your channel and a couple others to see what others are doing during this challenging time. Thanks for sharing your joy of crafting and thrifting. May 2022 be filled with comfort and better health for all
