Your eyes should considerably lighten up when somebody casually mentions the name Be`lakor! These filigrane, sophisticated tunes of this Melbourne fivepiece definitely have the potential to enthrall masses wih this absolute fantastic output of Australian melodic death metal! The eight pillar songs Vessels is built upon definitely satiate your hunger for progressive structures and technical prowess, but at the same time these new compositions live for intense, passionate and deeply disquieting melodic death metal. Sense and sensibility from Down Under: Be'lakor's fourth full length album will drag this whole world down into its darkness!

I swear no matter how shit the day is. The constant grind of pushing shit up hill and dealing stupid fucken people and their stupid fucking problems. It all becomes nothing within an instant of listening to you guys. The stress the worry the bullshit all fall away till nothing is left.
Nothing.
And in that moment the strength to face it all and go on is born.
And it is beautiful
so thankyou
These guys will never fail to deliver beautiful metal music.
Be careful, people once said that about Amon Amarth and now all they do is shit
really? I didn't really notice although I've only listened to a few of their songs.
f'in right!
MrJoshItIs what do you mean by that?
These guys never fail to deliver. I agree = f'in right.
Lyrics:
- ROOTS TO SEVER -
Though wounds were great, and respite scant,
Life clung to that wretched plant
Its skin was scarred, its leaves were ripped,
Damned to wait, as roots were fixed
For every hour, in hopeless fear,
It felt them leave then draw back near
The insects drudged without a sound,
And tore the plant down to the ground
Among them, one drone like any other,
Stole away to meet another
Far from the swarm, the two had hidden
Their unborn child, which was forbidden
Spiteful mind and eyes unseen,
Betrayed unto to a ruthless Queen
Condemned - the two would die alone,
Their egg was cast on to the stones
An offering to slake the earth,
Despite its lot, the child emerged
From hatching breath, its life was dire,
In every dawn, the sky brought fire
It sought its kind, and as it roamed,
Out of sight and far from home,
A pack could see that, left alive,
The child would lead them to the hive
Behind the hatchling, like a storm,
The giants fell upon the swarm,
With hungry teeth and gleeful hearts,
Those hunters pulled the Queen apart
That part from 0:00 to 7:02 gave me chills...
Nice try
Me too m8 :D
I wish they would do one song, just one, where the entire thing is like 1:03 till 1:30. Of course we need a guitar solo and all that, but I mean i wish there were faster parts near and throughout the end of the song. Still great nonetheless.
I personally really enjoy the variation in pace they have in most of their songs. Keeps things from getting monotonous and provides amazing atmosphere.
wakemeup39 I enjoy that variation too, but they do it in every song..so it gets a bit repetitive. A shorter song with faster rhythms would be amazing, even if its just one song on the album. Then I could appreciate the tempo changes everywhere else more. If that makes sense.
best melodeath band nowadays :)
Have you listened to Kalmah?
+MA3LOCK To me they are the best melodeath band, beautiful but brutal when they need to be.
insomnium and kalmah are one of my favourites too , but i preffer belakor
omnium gatherum imo
kalmah is king
The guitar part from 1:58 to 2:25 is just amazing...
One of my favourite melodeath songs of all time... a MASTERPIECE!

This band is AWESOME.
Still, the only non-Scandinavian Melo-death band that creates pure and sophisticated art. Love and Respect since Be'lakor's demo days! Bow to the ground, boys!

+Starving African Boy when im not listening to this im enjoying the uplifting sounds of your backwards continent starve steal from rape and murder each other... gotta keep a balance between dark and uplifting ambiences u kno
Between Be'lakor and Parkway Drive, metal is in very good hands in Australia. Happy to hear recommendations re other young metal bands in Oz - compared to the 90s and early noughties, we seem to be living in a golden age :D
Ne Obliviscaris are on the rise as well, their latest album actually charted there!
Check out Ouroboros(2 albums out so far) and Psynonemous(their second album is due out next month). Both masterful examples of tech death.
Check out Chronolyth, Miazma, Meshiaak (album due soon) to name a very few.
They need to get their asses on a world tour.
Spectacular!
As usual, one full album in one good song.
This is the answer to ALL..
The answer to life, death and all in between..
HAIL BELAKOR
