Your eyes should considerably lighten up when somebody casually mentions the name Be`lakor! These filigrane, sophisticated tunes of this Melbourne fivepiece definitely have the potential to enthrall masses wih this absolute fantastic output of Australian melodic death metal! The eight pillar songs Vessels is built upon definitely satiate your hunger for progressive structures and technical prowess, but at the same time these new compositions live for intense, passionate and deeply disquieting melodic death metal. Sense and sensibility from Down Under: Be'lakor's fourth full length album will drag this whole world down into its darkness!
Intense, passionate and deeply moving melodic death metal from Down Under
It's pretty hard sometimes, not having anyone else in my actual life to share this with who would appreciate it. But this I know, that there are others out there who realize how good this is. And I guess I should be thankful for that. I guess we all should.
Luke D Visscher Find some metalhead friends and you’ll be best friends.
Someone started to like metal too late in his life, or failed to make friends in childhood?
Same here. I feel sad now thanks you.
@@MetalWolf47 You don't need to ) That's the point, it's never too late to make friends, and the music lives forever, and tastes great whenever you return to it. Good luck, mate, and don't feel shitty about anything-)
no fretting, only ominous gratitude.
Australia is full of things that kill. Spiders, snakes, kangaroos on speed, basically every plant or rock, and of course Be'lakor's riffs and songs. 🤘😍🤘
This is easily one of the best songs ever written in metal history.

Practically🔥
Agree
100%
Close . But Countless Skies by them is far better!
This song has so many levels, this is like the Black Sabbath of today. Such good writing and melody.
Multiple rhythm changes, melody changes, harmonies in the same piece of music.....WOW!!!!! Not too many bands capable of this. Fling love these guys!
Man this song is so epic. Belakor has been one of my favourite bands for the past few years. Cheers from Pakistan. 🇵🇰
Fraught is my absolute favourite
Pakistan has a good taste,
in music?
Nice to hear, from Finland.
New Be'lakor, Dark Tranquillity, and Insomnium in the same year? Amazing
It is a miracle!
Don't forget In Mourning!
ENSLAVED ZOMG, HOW CAN YOU FORGET ENSLAVED???
don';t forget Metallica...
Black Emperor we're trying to.
I honestly think this is one of the best pieces of music ever written, of any genre. The fact that humans are capable of producing something like this makes me think, okay, maybe we aren't total garbage.
LOL it sucks the misanthropy right out of us.
Make them suffer - neverbloom. You won't be disappointed.
good music we are still garbage
@@ramzichehab2506 mts is another great Aussie band.
That's fucking deathcore man. There's a huge difference between this band and mta
This so produces so many emotions. As a husband and father I stay strong for my family. This song makes me think of people I've lost and how hard life can be. But we keep pushing through until our time is up.
The fire within🔥
🔥🖤🔥
It's been more than 3 years now since I first listened to this masterpiece and I keep coming back.
Still can't understand how this is so damn perfect...
The music is spot on draws me in that drummer is going ham
Once blessed by this band it's forever.
I hated all new metal and stopped taking in new bands in 2008 with all the fucking numetal and later djent (and even dubstep) pushing itself into everything. Wasn't aware this band existed until about a year ago.
how can songs this good actually exist, we are not worthy for such a treat
7:10 on is by far my favorite part of the song. The story reaches such a profound conclusion and the melody behind it really drives it home.
With you on that
Sure it is
Thumbs up those who can't stop looping 6:45 till the end of the song. Simply mind blowingly awesome!
I literally have been listening to this song for 3 days straight, the lyrics at the end after 6:45 are so powerful
4:22 - 5:58 is the best part
Exactly ;)
3:05 - 3:50 is what does it for me!
yeah thats an amazing riff too
Very big and complex song with multiple phases yet it maintains this gloomy mood all the way through I dig it
Outstanding use of literature and songwriting
4:43 onward is a riff so utterly epic that it must've been passed down by the Gods!
yes
This is my absolute favorite metal song from my absolute favorite metal album from my absolute favorite metal band. I know a lot of people swear by Stone's Reach, and I know it hasn't been out long enough to fully establish itself as a metal classic for a lot of people, but I instantly fell in love with this album when it released.
When the riff kicks in at 4:47! Gud Dayum!
Finally someone writes damn in the dayum right way
Narr, 4.22secs the build-up to that riff.
3:06.
Na it's the last jam starting with the acoustic riff at the end!!! That gets me going!!!!
@@iang-lb7nx yeah 4:22 , awesome part
Im completely alone in my life blasting this group, feels good but at the same time kinda lonely
I personally think this is their best song to date
8:30 I get chills every fucking time.
This song, lyrics and the melodic nature are blended so PERFECTLY.
Damn. If I had any more goosebumps on my arms, blind people would start reading them.
4:46 - this is when "shit gets real"
The screams in the background around 5:09-5:11 are SO masterfully. subtely done. Holy crap the power and emotion
That guitar in the background starting at 5:58 is just 😱
The fact that this band isn't more famous will always blow my mind.
This song takes me to a another dimension... This is not just a song, it's an experience 🤘
Both guitars perfectly harmonized with each other. What a brilliant composition. Fell in love with them from Stone's reach album
Thank you Be'lakor for making such amazing and unique music. I'ts such an amazing feeling listening to each song you release, turning the volume up and zoning out, truly one the the greatest bands we've all been lucky enough to live in the same time period as. Buying the album tomorrow, keep it up and BRING US MORE! \m/
breath and bone dp....my favorite album along with stones reach
one of metal's all time best outros. The whole song is a masterpiece, but it's always the outro that gets me :)
that synth riff in the middle of a song is just mindblowing
Actually meaninglessly and awesomely it is guitar's sound not even synth.

I think the death metal community on youtube is one of the most positive communities I've ever seen :P whoever says metalheads are negative and aggressive hahah... also Be'lakor is my favorite melodeath band, hands down.
In Flames' death metal community is one of the most rude and dumb I've ever seen.
Death metal community is elitist as fuck, just see how it gets if Be'Lakor change their sound on the next album. You would be surprised. That's so sad.
Hallogène Subtil Kinda like Parkway Drive, so much hate for their current music
@@hallogenesubtil4951 I'd disagree. Although I've no experience with In Flames' community. I've had nothing but positive experiences with the metal community, but then, I suppose most of my experiences have been IRL not online. Some of the nicest people I've ever met have been people I've met at metal concerts.
@SuperRufy Hahahahaha you're the best illustration EVER for what I was saying just above.
Man that's so hilarious 👌😘
I don't even know how it is possible to be that Narrow minded or silly.
Or both. Whatever.
Death Metal elitist community in a nutshell. *sigh*
Soulfly Tribe welcomes all.
What an incredible song. I normally shy away from growls - but this beautiful piece would not be complete without them. Kudos to Be'lakor - truly a remarkable accomplishment.
Yesssss, yessssss, embrace the growls.
Epic and glorious! Be'lakor never fails to experimenting with guitar tone, chords progression and riffs. Pure satisfaction!
They are gods
I don't know how any human hand could have written something like this, I just know that the ending melody makes me weep. I haven't been this moved by an outro since Opeth's "April Ethereal".
randyhalfway I do believe after many listens to each of their albums I will agree this is by far my favorite song from them taking NOTHING away from any of their other works which are great as well.
THIS SONG IS TRULY A MASTERPIECE OF ART.... MUCH RESPECT AND DEEP APPRECIATION TO THOSE WHO CREATED THIS PIECE!!!
Still kicking ass in 2020. Every album is amazing from start to finish. 🤘
where that new new at tho????
It will kick ass for eternity.
can't wait for Coherence
This doesn't die , it is eternal
Mozart and bethoven like
this takes me to a different world
hell yeah
Cannot stop listening to this album. Incredible music!
at 8:05 is one of the greatest moments in music history.
The ending sections of this song are so incredible. It’s all at once incredibly uplifting and profoundly sad. I miss the people who are gone.
7:11-9:30 Pure musical bliss
Still rocking this Masterpiece and Bel'akor in 2022! Amazing band and Musicians, heres hoping this year brings more greatness in the form of a new album!
The part where the protagonist is seized during his sleep and tied and thrown in the fire in fromt of his resigned family always brings tears to my eyes.
The guitar parts perfectly reflects the feelings of hopelessness, despair and free or death. A masterpiece.
I like how this story leads to more general thoughts in the end of the songs.
Great work, as always, mates.
That is an addictive melody
yeah haha couldnt get it out of my head a couple days, actually got a bit anoying :P
but good song indeed
Anything from be'lakor is really, everytime i listen to a song from them i have to listen to the whole album
Something about this song is so cathartic. That closing riff is a pure release of energy.. i still get endless chills and almost feel like crying because of how beautiful it is, as stupid as that sounds. Absolute masterpiece, perhaps the greatest closing track ever made
Doesn’t sound stupid at all, it definitely has that effect
That's a perfectly fitting emotion to have when listening to this, and not stupid at all. Let yourself be human and enjoy it.
Enjoy the joy of music! It means you are listening with your spirit. Kudos sir. Love these chaps for all their music. It is bold and refreshing to say the least.
One of the most talented band of our times.
Please Be'lakor I hope you get an opportunity to come to South America, your music is fantastic and It would be awesome to see you guys play in Brazil one day, I hope it does come true one day. Your music is amazing
Sincerely,
A fan from São Paulo, Brazil
Amazing song, I recently discovered this band I don't usually listen to this type of metal but i was so lucky that a radio station played Abeyance while i was driving i was amazed of how awesome that song was and took a picture for the band name and song while i was driving because i was worried that i might forget the name of the band, many comments recommending other melodic death metal I tried some even the famous bands but nothing comes close to this bands music, I really hope to see the band live one day in California
mors principium est? its a nice band you should try them
persefone aathma maybe?
Give Ne Obliviscaris a try they're another great Aussie band :) Their song And Plague Flowers The Kaleidoscope is a good place to start.

Completely different style of music. Same level of genius and passion imo. Enjoy
Countless Skies are named after one of Be'Lakor's songs, and with good reason :D also Fractal Gates is amazing. Insomnium and In Mourning are somewhat similar, but more gloomy (especially Insomnium). Also very great atmospheric bands though.
I met this song when i was 26 or so. Today i'm 29 years old, and im pretty sure if i get to my 50's, sometimes i'll be back to hear this song again and again...
Music so awesome the Dark Master himself would be pleased
And that kids, is exactly why you check upstream of your water source when camping
And always diseinfect, filter, or boil your water
This is heartbreaking and inspiring. Genius
This is pure love
its as good as the rain fam
Burn the infirm, the inflicted and infected!!!
You’re god damn right
Just like the pure love you put into sounding exactly like Insomnium.
The Smoke Of Many Fires in the Countless skies
If u actually get into the concept of this whole album its crazy spiritual.
They created a universe step by step and then release it back to whence it came
Absolutely a melodic feast. Love Be'lakor so much.
One of the best songs ever made 🤘🏻
5:57 onwards is just the best thing ever
This is one of those songs that leave you without words for some minutes.
Beautiful. Be'lakor outdoing themselves as always. Amazing stuff guys. ❤
concept albums are the hardest thing to do, and this is done perfectly
this is a masterpiece, and suffers no comparison to anything else Be'lakor or others did before as it rises to a whole different level that very few bands actually accomplish in their existence
10/10, should make metal history
Incridible song , but listen to winter's gate , you will change your mind.
About the concept album thing, and in a not-so-different genre : Tarot by Aether realm
The intro riff is just out of this world!
those story telling lyrics.... epic
Be'lakor is something more than just a music!!!
I can't stop listening this song. Definetely my favorite from Vessels!
Belakor has been truly an outstanding addition to the melodeath genre. I actually did not like most of the songs on this particular album, but no grudge; this song plus An Ember's Arc are excellent. Belakor, you deserve some serious metalhead recognition. The part that starts around 4:45 hit me like a truck.
same
Listening to the album back and forth. It is a masterpiece!
Fantastic musicians. When you see them there is no masks .. no drama .. just some guys playing wonderful stuff.. thx 🤟
This band never disapoints. Damn. They're amazing!
Damn shame nobody has posted about this song in 3 years but.........I respect everyone who has respect for the genius on display in this album.
Fuckin love these guys! So rad
Am i the only one obsessed with this transition? LOL 5:47
Be'Lakor is one of these bands that always do solid records, amazing
Yep, unlike Metallica these days.
Oh hello there
Lol, solid is equal to average. Which is not a very good compliment.
I don't think I have ever been so ready to mash the replay button again and again on a 9 minute song! Too much awesomeness to describe.
You guys are ALL my best mates if you love this because Belakor are fucking amazing and they hail from Australia where I live and was born but Greek in blood - unbelievable band I have all their albums cannot fault any of them - dark metal forever til I die
“The Smoke Of Many Fires” tells the story of a man getting ill by drinking from a local river. His relatives become anxious about his condition and fear his illness could spread, so they plan to kill him in a big stake. The man soon finds himself bound and being taken to the pyre which is already surrounded by his grieving family.
Source - genius.com
man come on ! that song is about Kurt Cobain downfall and death......
And here I thought it was about a tree being cut down for firewood
And the smoke from many fires is the smoke from everything that has been killed this way, throughout time.
Coronavirus!
That's deep asfuck
"From a trail intertwined life and death strewn behind
To the stars it returned from the fire"
What a perfect ending to the album.
ⵊ can't get tired of listening to this. It's pure awesomeness 🤘🏻
this song starts where most modern songs ends
at the good part?
The river had brought with it much that day,
From driftwood to blood from the ember
Some things were hidden
While others were seen
Yet the man somehow could not remember...
Having ambled away from the water's banks
To return to his tribe and their lights,
He soon found a failing,
Of flesh, and of mind -
They were no longer robust or bright
What he could not have seen
Was the sickness upstream;
Those abandoned remains of the wasted
What he could not have known
Was the blight of the bone
In each ebb and each flow he had tasted
Dawn found him ailing, delirium rife
Those he loved feared his illness would wander
With time wearing thin,
His young eyes clouded in
As the odour of smoke became stronger
It was then that he heard the sharp crackle of torches,
Carried past him by men from his clan
A panic cut through
All the life that he knew
It was over before it began
Rope looped his wrists and held tight to his veins
As beside him his relatives sagged
And with tears in their eyes,
Through confusion and cries,
Out towards the wild flames he was dragged
Like billions before him, regardless of form,
It ended as chance had decided
So briefly contained,
An inferno's refrain,
Having powered and angered and guided
At the heart of the blaze, awareness dissolved
Light ascended devoid of desire
From a trail intertwined,
Life and death strewn behind,
To the stars, it returned, from the fire
"Light Ascended Devoid of Desire" So cool.
One of the Gods of metal
There is no way in hell that a song should sound this good.
No matter how hard I try to keep my feeds, playlists, etc. in a constant rotation.... this ALWAYS ends up in that playlist. These guys touring with Gogira would crush the Earth in to flat earthers reality!
It´s an honour to me to know this band. Great musicians. Long live Be´lakor. Hope to hear and see your soon live on stage.
If only the album was full of such songs. Specificly this song is one of the best in the genre!
the rest of the songs are definitely good, but this is just on another level
I just keep hitting the like button, there is not enough likes for this masterpiece.
Wow, what a journey! This is the best musical piece my brain has ever recieved. This Album is a masterpiece, and I can't wait for the next one to drop!
the whole album is immensely beautiful, thank you Napalm Records!!
Thank Be'lakor
Amazing song from an incredibly talented band!
Be'lakor had me at Abeyance. This whole album just amplifies my love for them. There's hardly any other band out there with this much talent. Musically, instrumentally, vocally and most of all lyrically. Best lyrics I've ever read.
BEST PART TO LOOP IS FROM 01:57 TO 02:24 AWSOME GUITAR 2 OMG
So, so good. Love the homage to Chris Isaak in the mellow outro breakdown.
The part starting at 3:25 is simply mimdblowing. It feels like an explosion, so intense and so many emotions. Gives me goosebumps everytime.
The part from 4:45 to 6:30 is fucking insane
This stunning work of art has really opened up new music for me.
I'm very grateful Be'lakor
That intro- from beginnig to 1:00, I feel Insomnium there, but is a good sign, i'm in love :))))))))))))
Deep lyrics. Once more a spherical approach to music.
Even though this song is about something completely different, the last part got me thinking of my dad that passed away this easter. He always wanted to be cremated and poured in the local giant lake were we live. You're back to the nature, dad. Rest in peace. Roam the stars like a boss.
maybe shouldn't tell, but beautiful wish of your father. Getting back to nature cycle without monuments.
One of the best Melodeth bands
Be´Lakor are the best! \m/

Man one thing that I absolutely LOVE about this band is that each song tells its own story
This song means alot to me. Gives me chills
