Dam comfort is the way to go I have a Prius but my reserved rides are only like 10 to 30 bucks max but I drive 15 to 20 miles plus I only get 1 dollar to the mile max

Hi, Aaron. I was wondering if you could help me with a question. Why are some passengers paying more per mile than other passengers? What are your thoughts?
Sure, my understanding is Uber has a dynamic pricing model. Meaning the supply of drivers and demand of riders in that market at that moment determines pricing although the exact math is sort of kept as their secret sauce. What I’ve noticed is that the pricing for trips definitely changes when you are in non affluent vs affluent areas. For example, in my market of LA you will notice the pay per mile isn’t as good in Sherman oaks vs Brentwood for example. Anything else just let me know.

Agreed, know your worth. If it’s not profitable to you in my opinion we don’t take the ride ever.
So whats a good paying trip? Something somewhere around 1$ a mile?
My strategy currently is a trip that’s under 25 minutes and that includes pickup. If the trip would average out to be $40 an hour, take it. For example, a 20 min trip needs to pay $13.40 minimum. I hunt for short 5 min trips that pay $6. I don’t do any trips under $6. Use both Lyft & Uber and I drive when demand is high. Anything else, just lmk.
@@DriveLikeASniper dang here where i live the lowest is 3-5 bucks for like 6 miles or 15 mins but u never get a pick up after, you got to wait, n the hight i ever got it was like 12 bucks for around 20 miles or 30 mins. Im berly on my 90th ride since im new.
Bro I’ve been doing this for a little over a year and if anything I’d love to help you avoid any of the mistakes I’ve made. Experience helps a little to get to know your market. I’ve had to pivot a few times to ensure I’m profitable. There was a period I was doing airport rides bc it was long and paid more. What’s your market?

I get it. So what I’d recommend is driving different times of day/night to get to understand your market. Take note of what works and what doesn’t. This helps u to create a sustainable strategy. Don’t beat yourself up when you make a mistake, just learn from it and get better for the next day. Hit me up anytime

I charge end of the night or every other night. When it gets to around 70-80 mile range, I charge and normally go to sleep at that time. $14 later I’m at 270 miles range. Which market are you in?

Honestly my philosophy is this, if there’s money to be had I’m gonna find it. If my area was slow, I’d find someone in my market that was making money and do the same thing. If someone else is having success, why can’t I?

I’d look at strategy. A lot of drivers aren’t driving in places like baldhill hills, Crenshaw, and I think there’s good money there. My strategy is generally stay in an area you know well.
