Idk how it works but he was active driving under 32. I did see it said he was online for Uber 80 hours but it looks like actual driving totaled under 32. Like mg Alex said do have to deduct gas and wear and tear on vehicle but it’s gotta be a pretty good hourly for just driving either way

You are saying what drivers feel. So what you do is vibe with a driver and get their contact info. They’ll pick you up and drop you off anytime for half the cost.

My strategy has been to covert the long rides that are offering to pay line around $35-$50. I know they paid a pretty penny so you bring up damn good points.

You’d be shocked at the influx of drivers who are getting tired of these rideshare apps playing games, so yeah, we’re not alone in this fight! Like today, I worked almost 7 hours, got 7 rides, and only got paid $56.69 for my day. I usually don’t bother converting short ass local rides to cash rides, but since Uber kept on dealing me these dogshit $3-$4 rides all damn day today, I took those rides, canceled it, and took whoever to wherever they gotta go anyway for free, just to send a message to Uber and let them know, if I’m not getting paid, no one is getting paid. It just happened that all four of those free rides I gave tipped me anyway haha so I made about $15 worth of tips LMAO

Hi Roger, Monday-Thursday I pretty much only do reservations early in the mornings. Like starting around 3am, airport reservations. As long as they are close to my house or airport I’ll take them, they normally pay close to $25 or sometimes around $39. I don’t talk much bc it’s early so I think riders appreciate that and tend to tip. On the weekends are where I really put the work in for longer days and I cherry pick all day. I wait for the type of rides I want and I position myself in busy areas. If good and short rides are there, I take em. I drive both on Uber and Lyft apps. Anything else , just lmk.

I feel you for sure. Keep your spirits up and see where you can adjust your strategy to maximize your profits. One of the best lessons I got was talking to another Lyft driver at the supercharger. He helped me so much, we’re a community willing to pass the game forward.

My belief is if someone is making money in my market, so can I. I just try to pass on some of the experiences that have helped me along the journey; that way your learning curve is less and you have a strategy.

@@mrdronza1582 what market are you driving in… Out here in southern California you’ll pull in $400-$500 a day on the weekends if you drive 12 hour shifts which means you’ll be in the car for about 14 hours to 15 hours if you have some lag time between rides

@@UberDriverChat Tampa bay market. Florida. once you get past all the bull$^@t calls, you can pull in 3-500 a night, off 5-8 hours of driving. off 20-25 hours. .im makin anywhere between 7-1300.. depending on whats happening that weekend.

All areas are different but out here in Southern California we see where we’re picking somebody up and where we’re dropping them off… There are some pockets of Southern California that I’ve been in where you have to have a high acceptance rate in order to see the destination, but that’s very rare out here… Where are you at by the way?

Uber driver chat got it right. It’s such bullshit that every market can’t see the destination. My acceptance rate is around 8/9% so if I can get it lower I will.

@@DriveLikeASniper I noticed in the Los Angeles area when you get past the valley area towards Calabasas and then north of Calabasas, you will have the problem where you can’t see the upfront details unless you get 50% acceptance rate

Around 665 most but that was with golf in Beverly Hills. Non event about 550 taking all strategic rides. The thing for me is I don’t really do rides over 30 minutes. Keep it short is the move.

I don’t have uverblack yet bc in Cali you have to form a biz LLC and get commercial insurance to do it. I have Lyft black and it’s same app as the normal Lyft app.

@@DriveLikeASniper ah okok cuz my vehicle qualifies for uberblack but apparently is not available on my area. Have u also received rides with no information up front? Like just will show how many mins far are u but no payment or where u going to drop off the person. It usually has happened to me after not taking rides for being cheap.

Oh those rides where no info pop up here and there but no chance in hell I’m taking them. Same for the rides that have the same pickup and drop off location. Either they are too stupid to figure out the app or drunk, either way I don’t want them in my car 🤓😂😂

After LAX drop off if I don't get a rematch I usually have good luck in Manhattan Beach, Hermosa, Venice, Santa Monica, Playa Del Rey getting a ride back to airport ....if not the airport other areas I like such as Hollywood, Beverly Hills .... once in those areas easy to find rides back to LAX .... then repeat

Thanks for the question Mike! I go where I know traffic flow is lightest. I know coming back toward the airport from those areas will be much much easier than say going toward Sherman oaks. I live and know the Westside so that’s my bread and butter all week.

Hey Dio, thanks so much and I really appreciate your kind words. For sure a few strategies, I’d work on the outskirts of cochella. Meaning don’t go too deep where it’s going to take forever for you to get out, generally people will walk a bit and that’s where you want to pick em up. Also, give people your number bc cash rides will be very good for you there. You should be able to not only drive to Indio with a passenger but definitely coming back as well. Plan it so you maximize butts in seats. A line to say for cash rides, “I’ll make you a much better deal, how much is the app charging you for the ride?” For example if it charges $60, ok cool let’s do it for $50 and you don’t even have to tip me. 😀 (it’s all about tone, say it with confidence and sincerity. Make sure to say hi to them first bc they gotta like u before they trust you. Anything else, just lmk.

On Fridays and Saturdays definitely since it’s the busiest days. I did reservations only for my morning shift, first resy was 3am. I worked it until around 7am. Home, breakfast yoga, hike, physical therapy. I’ll start driving again around 5:30-6 tonight and do that until I’m tired. Which probably 3/4 am. I’ll take another break though when it gets slower tonight for dinner. Rest of the week, just the morning shift and no night shifts unless I really want to drive. I’ll listen to my body as well so yesterday for example when alarm rang around 5am, I decided not to drive. My point is being committed however being flexible.

My strategy currently is a trip that’s under 25 minutes and that includes pickup. If the trip would average out to be $40 an hour, take it. For example, a 20 min trip needs to pay $13.40 minimum. I hunt for short 5 min trips that pay $6. I don’t do any trips under $6. Use both Lyft & Uber and I drive when demand is high. Anything else, just lmk.

@@DriveLikeASniper dang here where i live the lowest is 3-5 bucks for like 6 miles or 15 mins but u never get a pick up after, you got to wait, n the hight i ever got it was like 12 bucks for around 20 miles or 30 mins. Im berly on my 90th ride since im new.

Bro I’ve been doing this for a little over a year and if anything I’d love to help you avoid any of the mistakes I’ve made. Experience helps a little to get to know your market. I’ve had to pivot a few times to ensure I’m profitable. There was a period I was doing airport rides bc it was long and paid more. What’s your market?

I get it. So what I’d recommend is driving different times of day/night to get to understand your market. Take note of what works and what doesn’t. This helps u to create a sustainable strategy.
