Dear Ali & “Hubby”, Thank you so so so much for the step by step instructions for how to use my pass through port. It was nice watching you two work together...” Teamwork, makes the dream work! Sincerely, LindaB
Awe your very welcome! I'll need to get the "hubby" to help me on another project! 😁❤
Beautiful
Thank you!😊
Looks awesome
Thank you Kelly!
Great video! Just what I was looking for! One question. What is the largest round that it will cut in one cut? Specifically would it cut out a 12 inch round in one cut or would that have to be two cuts?
Hi great question! It would have to be done it two cuts the biggest circle it would probably cut in one round would be 8-9" inches. Hope this helps
@@alisgoods4541 Thank you! I Thank you! I purchased one and unfortunately discovered that my Wi-Fi is just not strong enough. I live in a rural area and only get internet through my mobile hot spot. The connectivity is just to spotty so I plan to sell it and go back to my old jig saw for cutting things out. Do you know of a sight that I may be able to sell? I was able to make one cut with the machine.
@@LeeScroggins-qe5fo awe sorry to hear that. No I do not off hand but I know it may be helpful to join a glowforge community group like on facebook. I'm pretty sure there was someone on there buying them for parts and a couple times I had seen a post from someone selling theirs.
@@alisgoods4541 Thank you. Mine worked perfectly. The Wi-Fi connectivity just isn’t reliable enough for me.
Hi, what is the setting that you used here? and 1 pass will cut through the 1/4"?
Hi I use setting 135 full 1 pass uncertified material .25
@@alisgoods4541 thanks so much - it's my first time doing pass through and 1/4"...so a bit nervous! also the hardboard from Home Depot
@@petrinawong1904 your welcome how did it turn out? I hope great 😊
@@alisgoods4541 haven't tried yet 😅 the board is 24x24 so I need to cut it down to fit the pass-through but the table saw isn't at home (lend it out). doh.
Ali, beautiful work! I see you are using a stapler for the twine. I am new to sign making and finding everything i have tried is going through the front. Any tips you may have would be appreciated!!
Thanks April! Yes I place a piece of burlap ribbon folded over 2-3 times down before stapling. You can see that in my 1st video. I hope this will work for you, if not it may be that your using too heavy of a stapler. The stapler and staples I use is also linked in my first video😊❤
What the biggest circle you can cut with this?
Hello the bed is 20" so I would say 19-19.5" for a full circle if you wanted to do a 2 part circle it could be up to about 40".
@@SC.reations I think I'm gonna have to do that! 😁maybe this week or next
@@alisgoods4541 thank you so much! i got my machine on xmas eve and ive been too scared to use the passthrough....i also have been buying rounds off someone local 1/2 inch rounds not sure if the wood in glowforge is too thin for round signs with 3d wording what do you think ?
@@SCreations1 your welcome! I use 1/4" birch with 3D letting and it works just fine you could always double up your wood (glue them together to make it thicker or have a brace) but I do not. Also, it's a good idea to join some glowforge groups and their community forum for tips, tricks, and info.😊
