Arriving in France, navigating road closures, and dealing with unexpected delays only added to the adventure.

I've done the drive from London to Paris a few times. The port where your Ferry arrived in France is called Dunkirk and not Durkin. It's famously known for Operation Dynamo, an evacuation rescue of 300,000+ soldiers in 9 days during the Second World War.

My advice for next time would br be to buy an international sim card from places like "world sim" you get either a UK or US number and with data you can roam or make calls anywhere as you would at home. That is what I use when travelling

Is it safe? I know for instance Oaris to Dakar, which was a European driving competition was cancelled because of insecurity. Besides, border control in Africa is something else.
