Hey everyone, thank you for watching!! Many questions about ventilation so I'll mention it here, we have a roof vent, which has a fan inside it. The front windows stay cracked as we have wind deflectors so if it rains it doesn't matter. When not in stealth mode we have plenty of windows and doors available to open.
What about when you do a big eggy Fart in your sleep and passersby smell it as they walk by? I guess if you parked outside Chinese people may just think it's the egg fried rice🤷
i have been wanting to do a few week visit to the UK. And to rent a car and sleep in it for lodging.. and visit the many sights in the UK.. and perhaps visit national parks for hiking. I am from the USA. not sure if I will be able to manage driving on the other side of the street and any other differences in rules of the road and parking you have there, compared to the USA.. and also what driver's license I can use or what insurance I would need.
@@manp1039 if you're renting a car here the insurance would be included. In regards to your license, you may only be able to rent an automatic car here as manual (stick) cars require the test passed in a stick car. The language is the same so you'll be fine with parking and rules!
Wow, Sloane Street has changed! I worked in a nightclub there in the late 80s when I was a student, not a designer boutique in sight and the street seems much wider now. Well done on your stealth camping, it was so much fun to watch!

I found this video by chance, watching to many vanlife videos I guess, but imagine my joy seeing you are in a doblo as that is the type of car I am getting more and more set on using. not really. in the winter and autumn it'll look normal. my windows fog up after cold nights too up here in the north east of england, and that's for my car not a van I'm living in
I'm not even in there and I feel odd knowing there is a whole city going on out there Whole concept is just awesome. Got to tour around a major city for pennies on the dollar. Good for them. But I would worry about people breaking into my car with me in the car or away from the car or getting towed.

I met a couple in Canada that did a lot of stealth camping. They said church carparks was the best place as churches never had the money to employ security.
This was absolutely genius guys! You should do so many more of these vids around the country, for example, in Bath there’s the Royal Crescent with an insanely overpriced hotel spa on it...park right outside (Sat 7pm - Mon 8am) and have a weekend stealth camping in Bath with the same views for a fraction of the cost!
I have stealth camped in London with a Ford Transit van ,long wheel base .I preferred to park up in a quiet suburb though ,just outside the center ,near a park ,for sleeping .
You 2 are sweeeet. You do exactly the same stuff as my girlfriend and I. We own a Volkswagen Caddy. Did Italy, London. Cornwall, Brittany and the whole of France plus Germany. A blast.

It’s impossible to stop condensation. As long as their is two separate temperatures ( inside/outside ) you will get it. The internet is full of ideas but I have tried every single one of them.
I've got the connect van with a factory fitted rear tailgate and window and a completely separate lockable rear .The only thing I did that is non standard is fit a roof vent for ventilation .Having a live in van I think brings too much attention now days I feel.

Im amazed by how much use you have for the space - weve yet to do anything with our doblo but not sure if we'd get a double sleeping area along with kitchenette and retain at least 2 passenger seats eaven if folded...
I would have used a black velvet material as a curtain, between the cab and the living accommodation of your van., if you use black Velcro and attach it to the ceiling of the van, you way you should get a perfect light seal. The view from the outside is a pure black void.

Heard stories from my cousin who was there in the early 70s. No photos. Seen photos when people were all over the joint, when there was something on at the Palace. Other photos from BBMF fly past an so on, nothin like that. Hyde Park roses are somethin else. So thanks for that.

Be careful with using butan while cooking in the van with closed doors/windows. It's seriously dangerous. You should get a carbon monoxide detector/alarm to keep safe.
Do you have sort of locking system to stop the suspension from moving ? It can easily be done with two small steel rods that you unscrew from the inside just near the rear wheels.
London looks like it’s coming back to life amid the great great Covid scare of 20-21. I use ear plugs to damper noise. I noticed a lot of dark colored vehicles…where I live there are more lighter color vehicles because it’s hot the majority of the time.
@@TeamAteem maybe in another video you could explain this emissions or combustion tax thing and how that works…I’ve never heard of that but here in America the evil empire wants to tax every mile we drive like they don’t already do through a gasoline tax. But if they phase out oil which is where gasoline comes from and want us to depend on green electric energy which comes from burning wood which California alone has just about burnt down all their Forrest land so so much for using logs to burn for green energy (the most evil empire ever), it looks like they want to do the same type thing here as in an emissions tax but for all of America coast to coast. @@MaryOKC There's a few zones in London which are charged, originally it was just congestion charge in the central zone, to try and reduce the amount of traffic. But now there are also 'Ultra low emission zones' which you also have to pay to drive in, most newer cars are exempt, as they meet better emission standards. If you happen to drive into both of these zones (central London) you'll be paying around £25 each day you enter if you don't have a modern car.
Ok so i had a mini camper built out a Renault Kangoo which is roughly the same size as your Doblo, and as soon as i saw you cutting those garlics to cook i was like "oh hell no there is no way in hell you will sleep in there after that!" LOL
Im keen to get into this game, the only question I have is, what its the quality of your sleep like? If there are loud noises, changes in temp, do you have disturbed sleep? I guess my question is, how different is your sleep at home vs camper
Good question, it really depends where you're parking up, if you're in the city, you put your earplugs in, and get on with sleeping and it can be alright, but when you go somewhere quiet in the countryside and a five car rave turns up at 3am it's pretty annoying. Generally we sleep well, sometimes the odd car will come in with loud music and can wake me up, but Justyna usually doesn't hear it. Temps can also wake you up/disturb you but a quick check before bed determines if we need an extra blanket, hot water bottle or none of those.

Hey, good question. We try to keep fresh air flowing into the van, now we have some additional hanging space in the front for wet items, which can air out with the front windows cracked. Also we can go for a drive with the AC on and blast full heat, the dry air from air conditioning really helps. We don't have one, but a diesel heater is also very good for warming up and drying out the van, without having to go anywhere.

Yes it's the same. There is a maxi version which is longer.

This was filmed with a galaxy s20 and dji osmo mobile 3 gimbal, but to be honest I some settings wrong in rendering and it reduced the quality

Very good on fuel, insurance is fairly good. Parts prices aren't too bad. Its basically the same as running a large car.

@@TeamAteem oh wow so you must have to cross some type of toll area and then they take a look at your vehicle. Interesting.
@@MaryOKC it's all done with cameras, there is no physical toll, just some signs, so it can be easy to drive into them and they take your money!

The garden is stunning! Question: How do you deal with wet/damp clothing when getting back to the van? I'll be van living soon.
Hey, good question. We try to keep fresh air flowing into the van, now we have some additional hanging space in the front for wet items, which can air out with the front windows cracked. Also we can go for a drive with the AC on and blast full heat, the dry air from air conditioning really helps.
We don't have one, but a diesel heater is also very good for warming up and drying out the van, without having to go anywhere.
