Thanks for the review, but you are very critical. Personally I love the wire capes and so do most collectors that are into Mcfarlane. That’s why he’s continuing to put it on new figures. Doesn’t work for all figures but does look amazing when it’s done right.

@@the-phanatic-99 I can literally buy 4 Mcfarlane figures over 1 Mafex. I mean I get that you get more accessories, but for $20-$30 and Todd just has amazing detail for the price. Mcfarlane’s new figures got me back into collecting action figures again. Todd’s on fire this year!
@@johnnyshen8322 I’m the same way man wider variety of characters. Great sculpts for $20. and obviously the price is so much better to irritates me about these UA-camrs who bash on $20 versus $80
Good points. While McFarlane did raise shelf prices by 10 % last year, this year's releases are fantastic! A good assortment of different characters, some "reissues" of old but popular figures, more cloth goods (the fabric cape on this Dick Grayson Batman cape is nice enough), and even some more "painless" joints on some figures. On the down side - McFarlane is still among the cheapest about issuing "accessories" with their figures, and mass market retail "exclusives" remain hard to find on popular figures - tho, I scored a couple of "Platinum edition" Batman figures at my local Walmart (which has only happened once before), in the days after "Batman day" on September 21st...
Decent review, but read Grant Morrison’s Batman run especially Batman: Reborn. You’ll get a better understanding of why Dick Grayson’s outfit is depicted this way - especially based on Frank Quitely’s style and it’s awesome that McFarlane managed to make an almost faithful interpretation of Dick Bats costume from that run complete with the Bat knuckles. It will also compliment the upcoming Damian Wayne Robin - which is based off that run as well and what makes them a unique Dynamic Duo for that era of Batman stories before Batman Incorporated happened.
Also, the “Batman Arkham symbol” reference is the other way around - this Batman logo has existed way before that game series and Bruce has used it predominantly when he returned to the Black and Grey modern look following No Man’s Land. To a certain extent it’s how some artists draw it - and even Jim Lee’s Batman Hush run is a variation of that basic Batman logo that comes second to the iconic yellow oval suit.
That chest logo was said to be from the early 2000s Batman: Gotham Knights comics, but it also reminds me of the Batsuit from the Justice League Heroes game as well as Lego Batman, though both are Bruce Wayne. I wish there was an articulated cape on the black and gray Knightfall variant, and I almost want to see this suit's logo embossed on the Knightfall buck to remind me of the OG Lego Batman suit design (I bet a head swap and probably underwear/belt swap is possible, though the forearms will probably have a discrepancy with the different grays)
3:17 that is the arkham city logo! (its the same logo they used on the comics during that time)
My hand broke out of package as a result of the cuff but I found using the animal man gold label wrist pegs fixes the issue and even helps hide the joints better
If you showed me this figure, I'd assume it's just another version of a Bruce Wayne Batman
I used needle nose pliers to get the actual wrist peg out for that articulation for the hands. Since then, 10/10

I think I’d like if a continuity saved the blue and gray suit for Dick like the DCAMU did
I love dick grayson batman, I love the comic storyline he is so epic as batman terry is my first favorite choice as batman.

4:30 i think his head looks a bit weird due to the presence of ears. While in the original cover pic, sides of his head are flat

Not a bad figure. I had it in my hands at my Walmart, so it is out there, but I just don't have a big thing for non-Bruce Wayne Batmans. I guess he could be reworked for another version or something. NIce cape!

The Batlogo on this release looks just like the one on your t-shirt that you are wearing in the channel icon. Even the color way looks the same!
If McFarlane resorts to going with all cloth capes, I'm not going to buy them anymore and just collect Marvel Select figures. A real cape has weight and mass that hangs and flows in a certain way. Plastic conveys that illusion very well, with folds, wrinkles, texture and airflow. A small 3" by 5" piece of cloth can't mimic that. Even with a wire sewn into the hem, it's stiff and flat. Now you don't need to insult me, that's just my opinion and I'm going to spend my dollar on what I like. If you're into the cloth capes, be happy. It's your time. Count me out though.
If midfarlen was 1/12 I would buy these figures
1/12, pinless, and better accessories. Keep the stands and wired capes everything else needs a major overhaul. It's pathetic that they still have pins, like how can you have wired capes AND pinned joints?
