      question: will the lore be expanded or be more clear in lardcore?

      @@majorsmuggler We hope to expand the sense of immersion within any given map, so that includes the possibility of expanding the non-playable space, future DLC would certainly look to expand the lore/narrative if made possible via the kickstarter.
      What specifically about the lore do you feel isn't clear in the original? *proceeds to grab notebook*

    So many new updates recently! My trust in this project is very high since you did not just drop a kickstarter from the beginning without showing progress. Now i am eagerly waiting for the kickstarter to support! Love and Respect to the team!

    The weather effects and gas effects are a bit extreme and some maps are very hard to see what's going on. Will this be tweaked so the maps are brighter? Or maybe a setting to reduce them or turn them off completely on the player's side?

      As mentioned at the beginning of every video - all gameplay material is not finalised, particle effects especially (at the moment) are placeholder. We'll be making the necessary adjustments to maps and lighting in future videos :)

    I was wondering how possible it would be to have more than the classic 4 players in local/online multiplayer. Id be fine if it was max four for COMP/Online because I think it would be too messy for COMP especially, but for local online with friends, it would be nice if we could play up to 6 even?
    I don't know how this would work out with spawns as I played the original and even with four teams it got clustered sometimes and the game could be decided too much by RNG (mainly on the auto generated maps but also on some of the premade ones as well).
    However, it would make for such chaos to play with more friends which in a casual setting would be really fun I think and could ultimately help improve the sharing of this game between social groups which will help it grow.

      Its definitely a fun idea, but as you already mentioned - the size of the maps are where the problems lie. There just wouldn't be enough room for additional spawn points, sadly expanding the playable space isn't currently on our radar (as this idea fits more with a sequel rather than a remaster). Its definitely something we'll keep in mind going forward though, keep those ideas coming! :)

    Aaaaaaaand here I come with my now traditional suggestion of ideas/tweaks that could be made! (What? Do I want a cookie?)
    This is for multiplayer to try and vary up gameplay a little. What if there were options for ‘Team on Field’ size and ‘Squadron’ size?
    That’s probably a bit confusing, so I’ll explain more detail below…
    These would be settings design to make multiplayer games have more variety and strategic/creative freedom.
    One setting determines how many pigs per team are allowed on the battlefield at once. The other setting determines how many pigs are in the team overall.
    “Wait- how does that work?”
    *Reinforcements.*
    One a pig perishes, the next pig in that team spawns in and takes their place until there are no reinforcements left.
    This is a simple option I feel that opens up multiplayer significantly, allowing for more unique match types and styles.

      Its a nice idea, however its essentially the existing deathmatch mode with extra steps! Being able to call in reinforcements manually would be cool, but how exactly the original code would react to us trying to implement such a mechanic is unknown. Who knows, maybe in future!

    I recently mentioned the feature of selecting individual campaign missions for replaying, I don't think that was in the original. Not really an option though, still I wanted to bring it up again :p
    In terms of accessibility, there is always Laura K Buzz who is an activist in that regard and looking through her website there is a tab specifically for articles and videos on that topic. I bet there are many cool options mentioned there, like audio aiming assist or button remapping, removal of timed button presses, make timers count only when people are moving not when standing still. This is an infinite field of possibilites and I'd love for your team to take a geunine look at all the different ways enable else disabled players.

      We've certainly taken note of being able to select specific missions!

    Visually I think that Lardcore has a lighter contrast compared to the original, or it's darker.... Judging from the videos pigs seem darker and harder to detect on the map.. Perhaps the lightning can be tweaked?

      Currently the HUD UI (pig names, rank and health) are too small, we need to increase the size of these to ensure pigs are easily detectable. As for the lighting - none of this is finalised, this is essentially our stage of development where we're playing around with what does and doesn't work well, level & lighting passes will become more locked in as the project progresses! :)

    One feature I think a lot of players may enjoy is being able to select an easy and hard difficulty. For easy, the enemy hogs rank up much slower throughout the campaign whereas hard is straight up the hard campaign from the original (maybe a special expert difficulty should you beat hard?)

    I think if you include saving and loading during missions, an ironman/ironhog...ironham? mode would be a decent idea

    I think the main thing is have an Xbox platform version.. Have it work on the console and PC side of the platform with cross save. Crossplay as well.

      For the upcoming Kickstarter the focus is going to be more on PlayStation and PC, but that doesn't rule out the possibility of a port to Xbox later on down the line :)

      @Pinstripe10 If I get around to actually starting a UA-cam channel it will be around classic IPs/games from Dos to 98 that are not as well covered as they should be for the platform.. Hogs is amongst the games I would like to turn some Xbox eyes towards.

    I was thinking about mission. Just random idea... placing enemy on a ship that you can't reach, and you need to use only mortar or bazoOoka to destroy them, it would be fun. Overall i like missions when you need to destroy some structure first to get to the pig. Makes it more special somehow😄
    I like how it looks already.👌

      We certainly would like to include more buildings/structures in Lardcore, this is something you'll hopefully be seeing more of as you progressed through the singleplayer campaign! As for enemy ships, we have some ideas knocking around regarding additional set dressing, especially for maps that contain a good chunk of water! :)

      You'll definitely be seeing an achievement system as a Kickstarter stretch goal, we see it as a high priority given the depth of scope we can include for both Playstation trophies and Steam achievements (if we acquire the PC port stretch goal!) :)

    Dont know if its already been said but maybe have some sort of ranked online play. Might be able to qualify for the hogs league. Keep up the good work!

      Online multiplayer is essentially the No.1 asking from the community, so you'll be seeing it in our stretch goals on the kickstarter! Integration with the hogs league will be there too, however its going to require a lot more Swill to reach that point!

      Additional weather effects, don't worry they won't be so strong during normal mode, its only when you get into hard mode that the fog will roll in! ;)

    I would like a "Leave no Pig behind" difficulty setting where if a pig dies you have to restart the mission. Not the whole game, just the mission.

    Look, you guys got the worst model for the pigs, focus on that since its the core part of hogs of war. I don't know who thought inserting that current model was a good idea.

      I can assure you that behind the scenes we have the next development stage for the pig models in the works, right now the ones you see in game are only temporary, as with everything displayed within the gameplay its all WIP, further updates will be coming after the Kickstarter campaign :)
