That quilt is a real beauty! When I see quilts like this I always marvel at the time and work someone put into it and feel a little sad that it was discarded. I'm glad you found it and can get it into the hands of someone who will appreciate it.
Looks like you did well I remember the CADBURY Easter egg commercial with the basset dog with Bunny ears I took trumpet lessons too in the 5th grade, used to practice over the phone with my best friend My dad used to play jazz and he had a very good trumpet which I used My instructor tried to buy it I Never did learn to really play but I still have the trumpet
Awesome video, Renee. I liked the longer stays at the bins. I love to see you dig and find so many treasures. The little quilt is adorable. Maybe Pam will like the quilt for herself. Have a great evening and God bless you. 🙏🙂❤️🙂🙏
I truly enjoy watching your videos and listening to your reasoning for purchasing items. I went to "the bins" one time and it was way too stressful for me LOL. All those people rummaging through the items whew! I will sit in my sewing room and quietly sew my quilts anytime hahahaha. Variety in people yay!
Glad you took the photo! If you don't need \ want it, maybe that towns library has a history dept .Seeing the bins even further illustrates how too much stuff goes to the landfills!

Great "fight at the bins" this time, Renée ! My personal highlight was the handstitched childrens quilt, which is an absolute beauty. 12:51 Nice idea, you´re very welcome, always a pleasure to meet you 😉. Greets from the other Hannover (GER), U.
I went to the bins yesterday here in Oklahoma City. I had a blast! I found all kinds of things including a wonderful complete vintage nativity set and a vintage Relpo Santa planter in great condition. You just can't beat their prices!
The "Bear Claw" is at it once again! Good finds. On my last trip to Sal. Army, I picked up a Train Cake Pan, by Nordic Ware. If I could bake...I'd have train of cup cakes...oh, boy an eatable train! The pan is new and made in USA, and of very heavy gauge metal. The consist is: the locomotive/tender: two tank cars: two gondolas: a boxcar: flat car with pipe load: and a caboose. Would require 5 cups/1.2 liters of mix. Also got a real cute plush frog.
@@PaperandMoose The pan is so neat, I plan to display it as part of my railroad memorabilia collection, never been used Looks like a neat sculpture in itself.
Love the vintage quilt! I quilt and I try to put a label on all of my quilts so if it ends up at the Goodwill the buyer will know the date it was made. I know quilt appraisers will look at the fabric to tell the age. Certainly a treasure. Blessings!
Hi Renee. This is the coolest video to watch. OMyWord, you found some really cool vintage stuff. I love the little Trees. The T-shirt is lovely and Mickey is so groovy. God Bless you Renee. Hope to see more vintage stuff next time. Take care. Maria.😋😋😋😋👍👍👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😇😇😇😇😇😇😇😇
When you found the quilt Renee ( still folded up ) when I have been to the bins I ( look for )usually try to unfold those items as well to see what they are. Because they are folded, that means no one took the time to see WHAT it was and was overlooked. Just as you found out.... they could be real Gems.
@@PaperandMoose Question Renee about the little purse I sent with the Disney stuff. The manufacturer label inside ' looked ' old, might be Vintage. (Condition may have been an issue-Didn't inspect it real closely) Was it old or unique enough that you could list it on your Etsy page? Somewhere around here in my Stuff I think there is another small purse for a later box which will include some of those hand-made thread designs on those small doily type fabrics. *Of course you could use it for personal use but it seemed like it might be sellable or unique
The quilt is so gorgeous. The kids outfits and hairstyles look 1920's to me.The porky pig vhs tape you called 'the ripoff one' is real porky pig. Certain cartoons (not disney- that studio has a special never-expiring copyright) were old enough to reach public domain status and then other companies began making compilations. So it doesn't say Warner Bros but it is the legit Merrie Melodies and Loony Tunes cartoons. I bought one once just to see if it was some copycat version but it was the real warner bros cartoons. They may not have the resale value of something with the warner brothers name on the package, but for just watching, they are legit.
Loved this Renee! Love the little bottle brush trees. Ok would like some teeny tiny ones to go with my fairy house my sister and her husband made for me.
It's fun to go to the bins, but when you're limited on space for inventory, ya gotta be picky. I bought a couple of items from an online auction this week. Don't know if I'll venture to the bins after my pick up. Thanks again for taking us along! Marianne

Did you take the View Master disc? I would have! Vintage 3-D images (View Master, stereocards) are among the things I collect. I also would have grabbed that Cleveland Indians cap, as that team no longer exists and they’re not making those caps anymore. They’re selling for around $20 on ebay. About the Disney tapes, only speculating, but one explanation for the variation in prices might be a result of which release it is. Disney would release a movie on VHS briefly, for a few months, then put it “back in the vault” for a few years, then repeat the cycle. Check the release date.
Nice shirt for a teddy bear. Bins was a bust aside from a RATT LP. I guess I had a RATT problem. Cool photo. People are just throwing up prices on VHS to mess the market.

Here in the Deep South many years ago women would take empty flour sacks (made of floral, striped, etc... cloth) and make all types of things from them. That is what the dresses on your children's quilt remind me of. Wonderful find.
At an auction several years ago, I managed to buy a garbage bag full of flour sack dresses. Some actually fit me as a top - like you said, such colorful & varied prints!
Commonwealth Picker had a video a while back where he talked about the sealed VHS tapes that bring crazy prices. If I remember correctly one of the big things is "home video" releases, which were the release sold exclusively in video stores that came out before the release sold in other retail stores.
Have you watched Fantasia?? I read an article on it yesterday. It was actually made for adults, not children. I wasn't aware of that. It was great article. I still have never been to outlet bind. I think I saw there's one in Ft. Worth. Another great video!!

I really enjoyed a few trips to the bins when I was visiting a city that had them. It breaks my heart tho. I wish there was a bigger effort to rescue more stuff before being dumped in the landfills.
There are crazy people at the bins where I am they sit on carts loaded then run to new bins or wait for them to knock you out of the way. Then the shoe people who grab all the shoes. I get it might be for needy people. But everyone looking to make a buck do not have to be rude or hoarding the carts. Full already move on. I just saying if you got a full cart already. Leave. The image your making for resellers is bad. I barley go to the bins anymore. I went because I help people with mental illness and addiction and I donate clothes to them or shoes.
In my trash area, people aren't putting out "good" trash, so I haven't been able to put together a trash video. Hopefully spring brings out the good stuff from spring cleaning.
Those children's VHS tapes are bringing me back to my childhood
