Wow, welcome to Wildwood/ NJ, a new kind of vacation and the "Cradle of Rock´n Roll" ! (First performance of "Rock Around the Clock" in Wildwood, 1954). 👌Hope you and your family had a relaxing coastal vacation over there. Bummer that you didn´t jump across the pond afterwards... 😉 Have a fantastic weekend, and see you on the next one ! Greets from GER, U.
If I was any good at swimming, I could have attempted to cross the pond that way! A little trip as some not to be missed things like auctions & an estate sale to attend! We were at Wildwood during the beginning of the week, so no sales down there or else it would have been fun seeing how an estate sale is run in that area & what they have. Hope that your week has went well & that you have a good weekend!
That looked like a fun day A different type of day for you Just fun and games and time to wind down after working every day Hope it made your day 💙💜❤️🩵💚💖🇨🇦🦩 Stay Happy 💫
OMG! RENEE. I LOVE THE BOARDWALK EVEN IN CONEY ISLAND. ALWAYS WENT TO THE ARCADE TO PLAY THE PINBALL MACHINE. HAD A WONDERFUL TIME WATCHING. THANK YOU FOR SHARING AN AMAZING VACATION OF YOUR'S. GOD BLESS YOU RENEE HUG'S 🤗❤️. MARI'A. ❤️❤️❤️🤗🤗🤗👍👍👍👍🪻🌸🌻🌺
Coney Island is on my list to go to! I've driven by it, but that's it. I forgot to stop at the Retro Arcade on this trip, but the owner of it has some classic pinball machines that are a lot of fun to play!
Oh, i always loved Wildwood, North, and Crest. Over the years stayed at all 3. Of course had to do the arcade, rides, mini golf, and a good seafood dinner. Brings back memories. Thanks for sharing.
Looks like you had a great time Rene and I'm glad you are taking some time for yourself.🎉😍 Always fun to spend time with friends and loved ones.🫠 Take care.👍🔥❤️✊
Oh I can smell the ocean, the food, the sunscreen. Love those Wildwood days. A burger from the zoo whop, pizza from Macks. A Kohrs cone. Going mini golfing underground..😎😎 Watch the tram car please
Today at an estate sale, I found my first vintage Douglass Candies box!! (Spoiler alert haha) I never find Douglass boxes, usually it is James' Salt Water taffy, so I was pretty excited to find it! (Maybe if Dickel behaves for Christmas, some Douglass goodies will find their way to your house...)
Looks like it was a good time - despite the loose claws. I had to look it up on a map but I guess someone traveling from farther could make a week of it and work their way down from Atlantic City through Wildwood to Cape May. Are the places at Wildwood open year round? Were you able to get any photo booth photos? My Dad's family spent time each summer in Cape May, traveling from outside Pittsburgh. My grandfather, who died 12 years before I was born, cut a 45 rpm record with his voice on it in some sort of booth for that purpose in Cape May. I suppose they once had those at Wildwood too. Only thing I have with his voice recorded. I read once that the microphones in the '30s & '40s captured the higher ranges of the voice so I think he is a little artificially nasally. Hope it was a fun & relaxing time. Have a great Friday afternoon! Will look forward to the estate sales video(s)!
One could easily make a trip of going to all the NJ beach towns, walking the boardwalk, seeing the sights. Each one has so much to offer! I believe that some of the arcades are open in the off-season, just limited hours. Not sure about the motels, I would think some do. Cape May is such a nice place! I was there several years ago for the NJ Lighthouse Challenge. If your grandfather could know now what a treasure a simple recording was! 🙂
Oh hey Wildwood, N.J. @ActionKid was just there a few weeks ago with a Live walk through of the boardwalk heading north, he was annoyed with the "Watch The Tram Car Please" endlessly announcing, hahaha [btw I hope you took Mr. Stacks, he needs a vaca badly]
We’ve learned to bring our own bottled water, since the eating place “cannot” serve tap water. Most have no problem with you drinking it, since your spending hundreds on pizza 😆
What a fascinating place. Did you get to swim at the beach? I know it's been hot there lately. Urgh! Those claw machines are awful with their floppy claws. ❤🐨
That is some 'Americana to the max' if there ever was! It looks like a fever dream or the start of a good horror film. There is this one cafe not far from where I live here in Norway that has an 'Americana' theme and it's so funny to see what Norwegians think an American diner would look like. It's like what they think, but from the past, so it's had to go through two rather biased filters. It's a really cute place, though. I don't know what the food is like, I never ate there.
Renee the video was too short LOL Longer vacation videos please for those of us that live vicariously through these youtube videos LOL!!!! We need longer boardwalk & Beach & Ocean views next time Pleaseeeeeeeeee 🙂
It seems you had fun in Wildwood. That's good! Those grappling machines are mean. Does anybody know anyone who successfully grabbed a stuffed figure with it? Have a splendid and successful weekend ! Gabriele - Berlin (Germany)
@@PaperandMoose That's wonderful! I would certainly have liked the seagull in particular. I still have a few stuffed animals from my childhood that I love and cherish. Which didn't keep me from letting them experience a ride in my washing machine 😄.
Looks like a fun place, would it be family friendly? I have thought about sending my daughter and her family on a vacation they have a 2 and a 5 year old. Would this be a good time for them?
They do have a variety of rides for smaller kids & plenty of games too. If they enjoy the beach, it would be a full day between the beach & the boards in the evening. They would probably enjoy it!
Thank you Renee for sharing a little portion of your Wildwood vacation with us! My kids loved playing arcade games at gateway 26. I hope you win a stuffed animal! Look for a claw with a tight clasp. They loosen the claws screw on purpose on many of those machines.🎉 Don’t forget your ☀️ screen.
The machines "felt" a bit hard to win at this year, but we did end up getting a few toys. The claw machines that I played were only 25 cents, so you can try your luck many times and have fun whether you win or lose :0)
That was pure lovely. Thank you.

A road trip through nj beach towns. That would be something .
It's great to see that you were able to get away, relax & have fun. You really deserve it because you work so hard. 🥰❤️👏
Wish I were there, 🤔I wish I was anywhere but here......just for a few minutes🥰 Thank you Renee, for the joy you share on this channel.👍❣
Wow fun Renee, I hope the weather wasn’t too hot! Good to recharge your batteries 😊
We had a few days of rain, but got in one good beach day, so I was happy for that!

To use one of your favorite words....that looks FUN!!!!!❤
Fun & Nice are words that I use often. Never realized how much I say them until I started making videos 🙂
@@PaperandMoose to me, that you have had parents that raised you up the children should be.
Thanks for bringing us along. Loved it❣️😍👍😍
Adventures of youthful pursuits...the world awaits! So hope your pleasures were many 😊😍😎🥰🤣💖✝
Thanks for sharing what Wildwood looks like now. I remember it from time spent there in my teens.
Looks like you had a great time Rene and I'm glad you are taking some time for yourself.🎉😍 Always fun to spend time with friends and loved ones.🫠 Take care.👍🔥❤️✊
I wanna go there! Looks like fun!
Glad you had a fun vacation. Good job you didn’t go to Yellowstone! I don’t think they’ll have a problem again for a while. xx

Yep that's my neck of the woods. I am smack dab in between Wildwood and Cape May NJ
I'm at Exit 82.
Lucky! Takes me just a little under 3 hours to get to Wildwood, with a rest stop in the middle. Not a bad drive though once I get on the Parkway.
Thanks!
Once again, thank you so much!!
I've only ever been there vicariously through you and your lense. It does looks fun, perhaps someday I will lcome see in person. Thanks for sharing 👍👍
Fun wildwood day 😊
Looks just like being at a carnival. Fun for everyone!
Looks like a great day of entertainment 😁 !
Wow! Exactly like Ocean City, Maryland!!!
I'll have some saltwater taffy and fudge please. 🍬

It has changed so much!

The call of the Tram Car is a classic!
We were there too! I'm still in shock over the boardwalk prices holy cow 😮😮

We actually ended up winning a Hello Kitty plush & a seagull plush. Of course it took more than a few tries!

Tourist trap. I would prefer the rattlesnakes on a West Virginia trail, but that's just me. We all vacation differently. I guess.
LOOKS LIKE FUN
🏖
🥰🥰
They got Polish sausage with peppers and onions?
Has Wildwood been your family vacation spot forever?
I used to go every summer when I was little, many memories!
🌊🫎🐚
I have watched claw machine guys spray the claws with Pam. No wonder you can’t get the stuffed junk.
I haven’t heard that one before, but makes sense!
I literally saw on UA-cam a couple days ago, a strategy to win at claw machines! Fun times! 🩴🌊🏖❤
