- I finally found the perfect place to build the ultimate car guy compound. Tons of car parts, tools, and a motorcycle were left behind. So today we're going to sort through everything, throw a ton of stuff away, and start cleaning things up. A new house, a new shop, and a place to build cars better than ever before... but the house has some strange secrets of it's own.

400K subscribers! Congratulations!
400,000 subscribers. Well done JR . Definitely deserved.
Congratulations buddy
Glad to see progress on the house. I bet it will be nice to film and live at the same place
I’m glad you’re making a lot of progress on your new home. I’m looking forward to seeing the finished product.
I love the portable piano work table. Go go go!
If they use trusses you don't tape the wall to the ceiling, the bottom stringer of the truss will flex up and down with temp and humidity. We use to put up crown moldings and nail it to the ceiling so it could slide up and down the wall with the movement of the truss.
Your wide range of skills...and your energy always amaze me. This place is looking so good. I always look forward to your next video :-) Thanks!!!!
The changes look good! Can’t wait to see it become the final product, a work session at a time.
Americans must be the number one consumers of sheet rock. x) Nice progress!
What do you use? Plaster? It's the standard interior covering in all new construction going back 40 years. Everything "wall hanger" sold here is designed to hang on drywall.
Congratulations on 400,000 subscribers 👍🏻
Good progress!
The inside is more better now... 😉 It's coming together nicely for the new headquarters and be fun to see where you go from here.
Super pumped!
Any updates on your lake Airbnb project?
It was 99% complete, the last video.
I think he said there'd be no more videos.
I think its for sale (and maybe sold).
This Go House is a very clever video title. Took me a second, but I got it. 😂
You don't want to step on a nail, it will go straight through your shoe. I was renting a garage place, and part of the deal was cleaning it out. I was putting stuff next to the garage, and there were tall weeds where i was stacking some 2x4's, and i didn't see the foot long 2x4 on the ground, and i stepped on it. I tried to pull it out, but it wasn't budging, so in great pain, i managed to get into the garage, and i grabbed a small sledge hammer and whacked the 2x4 as hard as i could, and the board came out of my foot, thought i was gonna puke. Thankfully i didn't get an infection, but was on antibiotics for two week's, i ditched the crutches because i couldn't go to work at the cemetery i ran using the dang thing's. The nail went into the bone of my foot, which is why i couldn't pull it out until i used the sledge hammer. The nail was bad, but when i was ten, i was jumping off my grandpa's porch, and in my bare feet, i landed on a metal rake that went through my foot, and nearly came through the skin on top. My grandpa came out, told me to hold my breathe, and yanked it out. I was on crutches for a few week's, because it went through and broke the bone in my foot. They only had me on antibiotics for three day's. The next crazy thing, was my ankle started hurting all the time, and i told my mom, but she said it was growing pains. Fast forwarc six year's, and the pain in my ankle got really bad, and it was swelled up. I asked my dad for the insurance card, and had my grandpa take me to out Dr. An xray showed a large white spot about the size of a lime. A week later, i had surgery, and they were thinking it was a tumor, but when they opened it up, the smell was so bad they all backed up. They took another xray, and it was an infection that had eaten through the bottom of my ankle bone, and went into my foot. They put a drain in after cleaning it out. The Dr. said if I'd have waited any longer to have the surgery, they would have probably had to amputate part of my leg, and i could have killed me, had it got into my bloodstream. The Dr. said that they didn't keep me on antibiotics long enough when i stepped on that rake, and my body encapsulated the infection in one spot, until it got to big. I'm in a book or magazine somewhere for strange thing's the bodies immune system will do to fight bacteria. I was on iv antibiotics for six week's, and oral antibiotics for six month's to get rid of the infection. The worst part about that bone infection, was when they came in with a big ole shot of demoral that they put in my thigh, and then the nurse said hold my hand, and the Dr. yanked out the drainage tube, and that nearly made me pass out. So you aren't crazy for picking up the nails, because like i said, they will go right through your shoe, and it ain't pretty getting it out. G-d bless.
What a story. Glad you pulled through 💪
Note to self, don't have WatchJRGo do project timeline estimates. Tech and lighting? Yes. Timelines? No.
Looks Great!
Good progress
hello, house is looking great
Almost done JK. Get that gutting done before it's ninety degrees outside. I hate the heat
GAAAAAAAAAABE i feel like I havent seen him since before you finished the Audi!
Maybe put up some crown molding
Hey JrGo... Please scrape the popcorn ceilings, before priming.
Just make sure they’re not made of asbestos first.
@@bigalsgarage9323I was thinking the same thing
The random cable might feed an outdoor light.
Dude... molding details makes a house IMO. Look up older styles for doors jambs, window casements. I def. love to see the progress for the place. Looks great from where you started and you are spending a on the stuff no one really sees. I call that the "unfun money". Like new utility systems (hvac, electrical, windows) and a massive foundation bill along with waterproofing stuff. Somewhere in the 40s after WW housing was built slow and became "production" and the builder grade stuff you see in homes today became the norm because of price and time of install. If you spend a bit there time and money you will find it should set your home apart. I assume the goal with this place is make it nice as time goes by until you can move in and rent out your current place. If that is the case I'd do it well. IMO its all about the details. We sold our last home it went fast. We worked hard to erase some of the "builder grade" finishes and appliances.

Aw sheet its coming together
Was there trim all along the ceiling?
Are you changing the windows?
*Trainers and DIY* : I forked the last clump of sod into the barrow, and spiked the garden fork into the ground, leaning on the handle to survey my domain. Then noticed that I had stapled my foot to the ground with the fork. One spline had gone right though my trainer into the sod. *Luckily* it went exactly between my big toe and next toe - I never felt a thing. I went and bought steel capped garden boots. I still can't believe how lucky I was. What a fluke !!
No crown moulding?
Hey, love you channel. Let me know if you need any control 4 pieces used. Of course I’m in the AV industry. Have plenty of tear out stuff in good working order.
Are you scraping the ceilings?
Did you use to work at O’reilys or has it just been your local one so preferred or do you hate auto zone or a mixture of all 3
Selling off the stuff you don't need cheap does help low income folks, a lot! Sometimes they just can't afford the couple hundred bucks for a new AC or stove, or whatever.
Do a smooth finish not a textured ceiling so old school if you go that direction
Hey
Bedtime video let’s go
Amateur Question : Is it normal for non load bearing internal framed walls not to have insulation in them ? I have no idea if the ones in my house in Europe have it, but the sound insulation between the rooms is perfect.
Looks "way more better".
oh.. i know it sounds stupid.. but do you have to pull permits for electrical/plumbing/remodel? i don't know how Kansas works...BUT in my state... you would have had to pull electrical, plumbing and structural plans to be reviewed by a professional engineer... i'm speaking about CT... reasons why we get all up in a re-mod's shit? because every thing we look at has caused either a rash of major injuries or deaths... plus.. taxes? new improvements= upping the value...
Yeah, it’s funny how he and Eric seem to be just making it all up as they go along.
Why was this episode not titled random blue jays? *intro music playing in my head*
Where is "The Grotto" at the mansion?
Let's gooooooo
When the "Bunnies" are coming ?
👍
yeah but have you guys seen the JJK Leaks SHEEESH
👍🏼👍🏼
Idea for your house French doors and hardwood floors and eating bar with two bar stools and texture the ceiling and refacing kitchen cabinets and hardi planks siding and basement living space with two bedrooms and kitchen and living room and bathroom
You figured out my middle name
JR, hope you did not any bad storms in your neck of the woods.
OBSERVATION..get rid of popcorn
Where's the GROTTO
Jr, do you know if the previous owners are watching you rebuild their house?
Yo
You're keeping the popcorn ceiling? Really?
Prrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrogress!
Pretty sure JR will step on a nail now that he mentioned he never wears work boots. Hope this was sarcasm because it's not just stepping on a nail during demo, it's drpping something and breaking your toe. Just a matter of time.
I’m so glad the Organ is still there it should be a keeper learn how to play it’s good for your brain keeps on point if you ever have kids musical instruments make geniuses piano organ violin guitar drums makes you use all parts of the brain
Congrats on the 4 million subscribers. I knew you could do it!
I've said this for quite a few other "Car UA-camrs" that have shyed away from just car content and done house repairs, ebike reviews, and things like that. I get it you want to do that for variety but you should separate it into other channels so that the people that JUST want car content or JUST house content can get to it.
I am starting a second channel to build my ranch
Dudes talking about a 400k channel, you'll be fine trying to grow yours before trying to branch off! @@workingmansrestorations7071
Honest question. What's the difference between SheetRock and Drywall?
Nothing it’s just the brand
@@WatchJRGo thanks John! Congratulations on 400k also!
Speakers in the closet?
Good Evening John Ross
I'm confused what are tennis shoes
Shoes you could play tennis in.
🤪
Hope u sold the mini resort to pay for this house remodel...
I watch JR, but he doesn't GO much anymore.
homeboy is calling it a "mAnShUn" 🤦🏻♂️🤣
He lets it identify as one, so it's fine
We all knew your "one day per room" comment was never going to happen lol. For a full room reno, even your "10 day" edit could be overly optomistic without an actual crew working on it.
Speakers in the wardrobe? Not sure if I understand…….
He’s a 🤡
Good job and very nice house, but don't call it Hugh Heffner, please....
meh - this was a low fi episode - still, progress
as a german, i really dont wonder why your houses fly away like card houses at every storm. Those arent "walls"...
I used to live in Germany and loved how the houses were made. In the US they just aren’t made to last.
Such a stupid comment. Any house in Germany would “fly away” if a tornado hit them with 300 mph winds
What an original comment. Why don't you come here and pay for a full brick/concrete house for us all to live in? Many of us live in areas where storms are little threat at all.
@@nickmason4017 nope my friend... the roof maybe... but the rest never...
@@memertmemes2586 why should i?
Let’s see more work and less talking
Exactly, I wanted to see them tear into that arch but again...just talking about it and not showing it ...
Like I said…the double introductions are lame af.
JR, I don’t think you should mention Hugh Hefner with all the stuff that came out recently
You could just ignore it and not try to compel others speech, that'd be real great
Hey
Hey
At least the comments loaded up when the video started playing.
@@bearing_aficionado it’s the little things we appreciate. 😬
