My favourite scene in the entire movie, which is the film's 'piece de resistance'. Lynch completely nails it as John Ford. Well, if you are going to meet the film director you admire the most, John Ford would be the one you would go for. I recall Peter Bogdonovich's interview with Orson Welles, in which he asked Welles to name his three favourite film directors. Welles replied, "John Ford, John Ford and John Ford". Spot on, I couldn't have said it better myself.
