LOVE your setup. I've been wanting to combine a planner with my journal in my TN, yours flow nicely together. I've also been wanting to try using ephemera since so far I've mostly used washi tape.

Love your notebook! How do like it compared to your last personal journal? You said your paper is too thick, if you want something thinner Tomoe River paper is great! its thin but holds up well to watercolor, acrylic, fountain pens, etc. Even Modge Podge :)
So far- I think I like it better! My last personal journal was even smaller so i found it a little more challenging to work in. I have seen those inserts! I'll definitely have a look into it after I use what I have here 😊 thank you!
