- The DPS tests are done, my characters have all of their gear... almost, so it's time to refresh the whole "hey, what does Datto use," video series with the first of Destiny 2. If you JUST want to know the weapons and armor and don't care why, scroll down.

The Out of Options is also an option. I prefer it's sights over what the Phosphorus has.

The game is good but it’s boring and it basically died until dlc comes out which is bs because why can’t they have the dlc in the game instead of telling us to waste for money
I agree, the karnstein armlets have been glued to my warlock since I got them, really helping with recharge rates.
Same honestly but that's also because I have no others. All I had besides those were really low level blues so I dismantled them and never got any other Gauntlets sadly. I have a few helmets that might help me get to 260 but I can't equip them because you can't equip 2 exotics which I find kinda stupid
Datto, dawnblade and Starfire protocol is also good for calus. If done correctly you can put down 3 rifts per damage phase.
Place rift one first plate and when you move to the next plate stick a dog with your fusion granade. It will kill the dog and get your rift back for the next plate.
So always use Fighting Lion?

I've been running Mask of the Quiet one Sentinel titan, however, I did just come from TVs aggressive titan build video and with you also running Synthoseps I may be making a switch relatively soon.

That sucks. I didn’t even bother playing it because I don’t enjoy crucible that much. The only crucible I play is for Call to Arms and that’s it.

1fox2fox3fox4 for me the mida isnt statisfying in any way. Yeah it kills fast but other than that its not fun. Uriels gift i dnt have but i would use myself but the number is very similar iv heard which he uses and legend of acrius shoud be meta but isnt just cuz its behind raid wall and 9 times outta 10 u find incompetent people doin it so failure is gaurenteed. But that shotgun is good!
Hey Datto can you do a massive breakdown on swords and which set ups are most effective? Like, compare the DPS and overall damage of each archetype with all the different damage modifying and ammo modifying perks? I'm a sword junkie so I'd love something like that in the future. A pretty good Titan split I've been running in PvP and PvE is 0 Mobility(you don't really need it at all), 8 Resilience and 8 Recovery. It is quite a good strong split I've found.
For the energy slot pulse rifle I argue inaugural address is one of the best, I'm not sure if it is objectively but the perks are great and I love the way it handles.

I really enjoy Ricochet rounds on "The Number", it's a bit of a gimmicky perk, but it really delivers in PvP close quarters as it can sometimes make or break the kill if your opponent disengages with a sliver of health. Just rapid firing at the nearest wall to him can finish them off.
I have been enjoying using Scathelocke and the Conspirator in most activities, they are really underrated in my opinion.
Just wanted to say that the riskrunner is a huge help on gauntlet. The cabal do guaranteed arc damage allowing you to spam their spawns with ease. This helps anyone obviously but is especially appreciated when soloing a plate. Ive never met anyone else who uses it this way so i thought id share. In the prestige this could be a huge help!
My favourite loadout for titian is peacekeepers double smg and a sword. Great fun in strikes and public events
I always enjoy running dunemarchers on a striker, also with an old fasioned with a nergal, and well rounded stats (around 5-5-5) for power peaks, and territory control.
For PvP, double auto rifles on the titan with Actium war rig is pretty cool. I use scathelocke in kinetic for close encounters and Uriel/Number for long range engagements.
I've never had a lot of luck with The Number, maybe I'll have to give that another shot. I recently tried out Better Devils again in PvP, and wow it's a solid weapon when used correctly. Good video Datto, I'll have to try out some of your suggestions.
Oh how the meta has changed
The True Prophecy from Future War Cult is my personal favorite hand cannon. it has stats like Better Devils but has delayed explosive rounds that don't take away from the impact of the shot giving it rather high damage!
Adjudicator (Trials SMG) with the Tango-45 energy scout rifle and the Quickfang sword on Arcstrider is some of the most fun I've had in a while. Highly recommend you give that combo a try
Vigilence Wing in Crucible has been killing it for me, especially when I'm playing solo. It's just a realy hard hitting gun and is great for team shotting. Yeah you can't run and gun like a maniac with it, but if you can keep your distance you can win most gun fights. Having a sub-machine gun or last word for close range is a smart energy weapon choice.

3 bursts, with only like 50% of those shots being headshots, will get you a kill. If it's taking you 5 bursts then you must be missing some of those shots.
SneakyBeaver I mistyped what I meant, the gun shoots 5 shots each burst. You need to be fairly close to hit all 5 bullets whereas a MIDA or Number can essentially snipe and kill so much faster.
With a kinetic counterbalance mod on your chest the Vigilance Wing is top tier imo. If you land the entire burst. You Only need 1 of the 5 bullets to be a crit each burst to land a 3-burst-kill
I recommend the Minuet 42 in combination with a scout or auto rifle / antipope-d, if you pair it with the hunter's strafe jump you can get a big advantage when starting a fight by jumping around the corner and dealing 60 damage to the head.
My go-to weapons for PvP is as follows:
1.Origin Story (very good and reliable auto rifle)
2. Last Hope (reminds me of Trespasser and I loved it from D1 also gets me out of bad situations. Plus Omolon sidearms have been pretty dominant)
3. Legend of Acrius or Sins of the Past (LoA is good at range and can shutdown roaming supers. Sins of the Past I've seen a lot and have been using it since.
I main Titan and my best exotic is Synthoseps.
I really like the Dire promise from dead orbit, the Nergal pulse rifle and the shotgun from new monarchy which is probably my favourite weapon for pvp
I'm a really big fan of Lincoln green. I seem to outplay a lot of other guns and the kill time is very short when you hit your crits. it just feel nice
Never a bad idea to try out some of those blue weapons, believe it or not there are some good ones in there.
I mainly play a Warlock and my Load is,
Voidwalker Hunger Tree for Strikes and Patrols. Stormcaller Elements Tree for Nightfall and Raid. Stormcaller Conduction Tree for PvP.
Primary weapons I use are, Better Devils, Nameless Midnight, Origin Story and Antiope-D.
Energy weapons are, The Number, Uriel's Gift, Sunshot, Riskrunner and Coldheart.
Power weapons, Hawthornes Shotgun, Show of Force, Sins of the Past, Merciless, Legend of Acrius andThe Prospector.
My Armour is a Mix of High-Minded Complex and Simulator sets or the Iron Banner set with Resilience, Recovery and Kinetic Mods. Either end up with a 7-9 or 8-8 split between Res and Rec.
My Exotic Armour pieces I run are Nezarec's Sin, Eye of Another World, Karnsteins Armlets and Transversive Steps.
Been running most of this gear since I got it at launch and its by far some of the best gear for a Warlock. Plus I look badass and thats basically all that really matters.
P.S my Shader is Iron Battalion on basically everything.
I’ve been having a lot of fun with the iron banner hand cannon in quick play. It’s a bit clunky, but three tapping at mid range tends to catch people off guard
Transversive Steps feels really nice, especially with a Sidearm with the extra slide distance, not sure how that feels with smgs or autos. Eternity's Edge is a really great sword for Warlocks, since it has more range for the attacks. Paired with Devour and Blink is really fun.
It's been done to death but the multi and minitool are really nice on a hunter.
It's a decent scout and you can put away your knuckle head radar.
Typically when people see you're using MIDA you'll get rushed.
Minitool and reload dodge give you quite an enjoyable angle to approach that from.
The combo also allows you to retain hunter like speed while you buff your recovery elsewhere ;)
I've been using vigilance wing (exotic pulse), last hope (maxed stability sidearm) and a sword for crucible. Vigilance wing just wrecks, last hope is great to spam up close then melee and swords are just fun.
If you want a 600rpm SMG in the energy slot, the Phosphorus has the perk where you lower rate of fire and increase damage. It puts out the same damage numbers as Antiope-D (without kill clip of course). I highly suggest it.
The out of options or phosphorus SMG are energy smgs that can be changed to 600rpm through a perk, they're pretty good too
@Datto to make the synthoceps look less awkward I like to add the shader dead zone bark which adds a really cool addition to the veins. Let's just say it makes you look like bane.

Hunter PvP main here. It is possible to run 5 recovery with a Hunter which is passable imo. Then it's a matter of hitting 4 or more resilience with everything else going towards mobility. As for exotic armor, Foetracer (+Mida) is king, but I also enjoy Knucklehead Radar (with Namelss Midnight) and ST0MP-EE5 (with Antiope-D) sometimes. All subclass neutral :)

For those that don't have Antiope...Phillipis-B is basically the same weapon (but blue) with a better weapon perk. The reload of Antelope almost kills the kill clip, so the stability and handling buff as you continue firing is amazing. Slightly less range, but with an SMG you're not sniping.

There are a couple energy smgs like Out of Options which allows you to change to a lower rpm at the cost of mag size.
Love that acrius clip, but I feel like I’ve seen it in at least 10 different vids now xD
I’m a big fan of 600 RPM autos: especially Scathelocke and Martyr’s Make. (Martyr’s is almost identical to one of my favourite D1 weapons, Righteous VII, as well)
Karnstein Armlets are pretty nice on a Stormcaller during Calus, because any hits of the super count as melee. So as you clear adds (provided you're on the throne room team) you're basically immortal :D
The IB smg (Hero's Burden?) just shreds in the crucible. 900 rpm with high caliber rounds is obscene
Stomp ee5 with rat king and the top nightsalker tree is really fun to use, and it's actually pretty decent too, but even if it wasnt, my God going invisible so much is hilarious, everyone always looks at their radar so not being on it is really useful
In PvE I have several set ups, but the best two are:
Nameless Midnight, Sunshot, Sins of the Past
Nameless Midnight, Imset HC4, The Wardcliff Coil
Sunshot is stupid good. It has better Explosive Payload and better Dragonfly. Imset HC4 is basically a worse Sunshot, High Caliber Rounds and Dragonfly. I don't need to explain Wardcliff and Sins of the Past. I sometimes switch to use Tone Patrol in Nightfalls and go double scout. It is very strong with HCR and Dragonfly as well.
In PvP I use Vigilance Wing, Last Hope, Main Ingredient.
For the raid, I usually use Nameless Midnight, Prosecutor (void), and Merciless. I do Stormcaller for baths, dogs, and Calus and do Voidwalker for Gauntlet. At Calus, I use Tarantula, Sweet Business, and Mañana (void). Nesarec's Sin barely ever leaves my head.
For PvP, I do Time-worn Spire, Last Hope (void), and Sins of The Past (void) while wearing Nesarec's Sin and Full Iron Banner armor as a Voidwalker. I also eat my grenades to help me stay alive and keep Devour up and running
The Out of Options energy SMG has an option to switch to a 600 RPM, and it has a larger than average magazine at 30. It's honestly really solid, not gonna lie. One of my go-tos for PvE.
For PvP, I've also figured out that you can sub out an energy scout rifle for Graviton Lance and it works just as well. Just treat it like a slow or med-firing scout and you'll win a ton of long-range gunfights with it. I've even been able to 1v3 on many occasions due to the 8 damage from explosions giving that slight edge, though normally that perk is completely irrelevant. Since Sins of the Past is so popular, I've subbed it with Curtain Call and gotten similar results.
Also, Scathelocke is a good alternative for Origin Story, since it has High Caliber Rounds. I typically run Scathelocke / Graviton / Curtain Call for PvP (as of Iron Banner) and Nameless Midnight / Uriel's Gift or Out of Options / Curtain Call or Merciless for PvE endgame. My alternate PvE loadout is Antiope or Forward Path / Graviton or Pleiades / Curtain Call or Merciless.
I use the Halfdan-D gunsmith auto in a lot of parts in the raid, especially when range is an issue(it has 91 range), and it hits really really really hard.
It's a 360 auto, but it also staggers enemies without the perk high caliber rounds.
I use it in the gauntlet, and calus in both suck zone and throne.
The range is insane(91!!!), and it's probably the highest damage auto per bullet. (not to be confused with dps)
Highly recommended for everyone.
Datto you have to try the Fighting Lion, Kinetic SMG (I haven't gotten the Antiope so I use showrunner) and peacekeepers combo in PVP. It is by far one of the most fun loadouts and it feels so good when you do well and get that swapping rhythm going were you never have to reload. I am not even trying to trick you here ever since I found this combo I actually have really come to enjoy the fighting lion, I literally have to have it on my character at all times even while playing non titan classes.

I main a hunter, for pvp I usually run arcstrider with Lucky raspberry for that bonus grenade. Using the lower path you can get increased ability charge when your on critical damage, which for hunters is always because of the terrible recovery. I try to get at least 5 or 6 points into resilience and recovery.
A recommendation the quickfang sword is very fun to use in pvp youll enjoy it I swear datto
I know I’m late but Last Peridition is a good substitute for Graviton Lance in my opinion. And the Rampage perk mmmmm so sweet for 2v1’s in pvp. Pretty much my goto if I feel like being a troll with Tractor Cannon or Wardcliff
There are technically two energy 600 rpm SMG's: The Phosphorous and the Out of Options. You can switch them to 600 rpm's in the perks. The Out of Options has a useful perk where some of the magazine auto-reloads when your health is low.
I go into the raid with Wardcliff Coil equipped. It's good for the Castellum. If we are going to pleasure gardens, I switch to merciless and I pretty much have full ammo ready to go as long as I have 1 Wardcliff shot. I keep on Wardcliff for gauntlet. I switch to merciless for Royal Pools.
Transversive steps and blink are really fun for an agressive, mobile warlock. Antiope is good here.

I've been using sweet business with the titan chest that refills your mag teamed with the number and striker it's so much fun!!!!
I've been running a 7 recov 7 resilience build with two mobility with the dunemarchers and I've been enjoying it a lot due to the increased sprint speed it feels like you have 4 mobility I highly recommend it
@Datto, there are a few energy SMGs like the Phosphorus that have phase magazine which turns them into 600 rpm
Titan on the Peacekeeper pegs running the Trials SMG or Anti-Opay Day: and the Risk Runner (PVE) or Mini (PVP). It's stupid amounts of fun (and in this game, that's saying something.)
For smg in the energy slot, use the phosphorus mg4, it has a perk that makes it 600 rpm and do more damage
I've been liking sidearms on my Titan. Maybe not the most competitive but The Rattler and Nightshade has been pretty fun for me.
Out of Options is an energy smg that has a variable rpm/impact and I'm pretty sure it can be set up for 600 rpm. I enjoy it.
If you want to use Arcstrider in PvP, arcbolts with Lucky Raspberry are pretty nice
So far I'm really enjoying titan, In fact striker to be specific. I actually don't use the double nade tree instead I use the secondary skill tree because the melee isn't the shoulder charge which doesn t use the melee charge unless it hits leaving your base melee ability just a plain punch which is weak. With the secondary tree you use that melee charge for a really powerful melee and it has the ability for when you break opponents shields the lounge range is increased, coupled with synthocepts it makes stupid lounges. Otherwise I use antelope, uriel's, and a sudden death but I'd love to use acrius but I haven't found a team to run the raid sadly.
the martyr's make is great when used in the right conditions like map and range
Winter's Guile on a Devour-Voidwalker build can be so much fun

If you're looking for high recovery on a hunter get a future war cult set, IO set, or Road Complex AA1 set of armor.
Sadly you can only max at 6 recovery with the legs armor mod.
Striker is my favorite titan class just because of the two pulse grenades. Although, hammer of soul is the coolest titan super.
Hey Datto! The "Out of Options" can switch between RPMs and it's an energy SMG.
Try out the 720RPM auto archetype. (Home Again green auto, easily bought from Hawthorne for example) it's like a 600RPM SMG, but being more stable and easier to use at somewhat of a longer range. The IB auto is a good one to use at maximum the rang ebetween 450 and 720RPM ones, and very easy to control as well.
I typically run the double mida setup (Multi tool and Mini tool) for PvE and PvP. For PvE, hi cal rounds let you stun lock most enemies which is huge. Not to mention the smg performs pretty well too.
And... using it in PvP is pretty obvious..
The Iron Banner SMG is really good at close range just be sure to hit your shots.
Trials- better devils, the end (better devils being like a better sidearm) with morrigan d for tracking rockets
I use Karnstein Armlets, Better Devil's, and Coldheart in PvP on my Stormcaller Warlock and it works pretty well as long as I don't run into groups of 3 or they somehow overpower me. I haven't done anything on my Hunter yet because I just started my Hunter and I have not made a Titan and don't plan on it in the near future. I'm hoping to get some better armor drops though so I can level up my Warlock to at least 260 and be able to switch Gauntlets out so I can use Eye of Anther World or some other Helmet that I hopefully get soon.
I like mannama (or however you spell it) the energy scout from Omolon with explosive rounds to pair with Nameless Midnight for Nightfalls. Because double scout rifles for range and the SKKKKRRRTTTTT for my power slot.
I can't get the Antiope-D to drop aka the antelope, so I've been rocking the Sondok-C aka the baby antelope. Same stats, kill clip, and one extra bullet! Agreed with Legend of Acrius for PvP, especially with shadestep hunter, get the drop and challenge everyone and give the NUTS!!
For PvP i seem to only be good on my hunter. I dont mind the low recovery all that much, it allows me to think ahead in a way i guess. For armor im using an iron banner set (except for the boots. Opened 18 packages and didn't get them) with either Foetracer or stompees. Weapons are Vigilance wing or Antiope-D, The End, and Hawthornes in my power weapon slot.
I don't know if you've heard of it , but a little known fact is that this exotic called the MIDA is the best gun in PVP. You should check it out sometime :)

For my hunter in PVP I use Foe Tracer and the Bottom tree of Arcstrider. You get faster sprints and abillity recovery when your health is low, and there has been times where i tanked for my team in my super since you take less damage while dodgeing. I wish i was good with hand cannons but im not so alas, i use mida and the Hero's burden. also quick fang is dirty for pvp
datto phosphrus mg4 and out of options both have phase magazine which changes them too the 600rpm type smg
6 minutes into the video, and I realized how old this video is! Datto is playing on PS4, and I know that he has a PC now so this must be real old. Then I checked the date, boy was I right, it's mad old!
Crest of alpha lupus is pretty good. Just lay down a barricade and get a quick health bonus
The Phosphorous Omolon SMG is an energy weapon. That can alternate between 900 and 600 RPM.
600 RPM SMG in energy. the only one i know is the out of options with a perk equipped to decrease rpm and increase impact. i recommend trying it out if you havent
On my warlock i use the transversive staps boots with the riskrunner i like the combination it works well for me

What I like to do for calus is have everyone with cold heart, and I’m running empowerment rift and lunifaction boots. They just going in and out reloads your weapons.
Out of options is an omolon smg with 900 and 600 rpm also scatheloke is actually a good 600 rpm auto it is kinda like Antiope-d
So datto what are you going to be using for the prestige raid (assuming that you can’t switch weapons)? I personally think that i’ll be using my Code of the Earthshaker Striker with better devils, cold heart, and sins of the past. I think that this load out will be pretty decend for almost every encounter, and will hopefully shine in the Calus encounter.
I like high mobility personally because I feel a very fast strafe can be very useful in pvp
