I love that they played it, it's my favourite song ever! It doesn't sound like the origional but that came out over a decade ago and they have evolved so much as a band especially Olis vocals. You can hear that he learned how to scream without ripping his vocal cords
@@aazi8219he is using like false cords or smth simillar, but that sounds unhealthy because his vocal cords are still a bit damaged, and he cant push too much or he will damage again
i'm glad they still perform this song but it feels sad. oli can't keep up, unable to sing like half of the lyrics and the majority of the crowd seems to not know the song.
And on this day I wish I lived in Kobe, Japan. I'd love to see Kingslayer with Babymetal live. Seeing them in Sydney, Australia next year, I hope they keep Chelsea Smile on the setlist still. Or if not that then something off the There is a Hell - I am desperate for them to play something off that album. Especially any one song of Crucify Me, It Never Ends Don't Go or Blessed with a Curse
@@Lxcifer420 yeah but I think they only did it at Melbourne and not Sydney which sucked. They gave the audience a choice between Oli doing a shoey or playing the metal medley and the crowd voted shoey -.-. Makes me mega sad and mega mad
@@harryf7055 I think there’s a good chance they’ll play King Slayer live, but it won’t be with Baby Metal. Honestly he almost never plays the kick drum live the same way it's played on the record, he's almost been that way. He probably could if he had to but I just think he doesn't care enough. Some drummers are just like that. With that said he does play double kick at times still. Listen at 2:41 where he's playing it in bursts of 6 which is accurate to the record
@@harku123 True, even when he was playing the whole thing in the old days it was kind of sloppy. Another reason is that intricate double kick parts usually don't sound too good in big venues because of the natural reverb.
@@sutoneru-sama9836 yeah when it comes to break downs and stuff he often doesn't play it if it's too complex, it's just hard to keep time sometimes if you're not in the right mindset, I've played for 16 years and i feel that way personally anyway
@@sabbath_screamz666 I believe he was trying to incorporate the audience with most of his line pauses; too bad, it seems like most of the audience didn't know this song...
U can see most of the crowds dont know the song, but im glad they play it again, im gonna crazy if they play this classic song..
Hhhhh so crazy

@@gustavohp3439 He does false chords incorrectly. He has that kinda whispery tone under his scream which isnt healthy at all.

he can keep singing but not making deathcores... atleast he could try to sing this one song with someone
Wish they played the full thing but this is still awesome
what's wrong with breaks? sounds very slow
this was done to make it easier for him to sing it

they probably dont even know the song hahaha

So sick they brought this back! Sad the synth bridge is gone tho

Does the drummer still have the double bass? The intro breakdown looks like it's being played on Guitar Hero on easy mode, there's barely kick on it
I’m guessing they wanted to “poppify” the drums for the normies, or he can’t play those parts tight anymore. Who knows
