you got to try heretic smile, a mash up of this with heretic by skip knot. it's SOOOO good. do a reaction to it too please. then going a total different direction, try their cover song of When the party's over ( Billie eilish song) it's so good.
I found Suicide Season had elements of Metalcore, Deathcore and Numetal all perfectly combined, looking back on it now, this is the album that steered the sound for so many metalcore acts.
BMTH is the best modern band Every album is different every album has his own sound BMTH and Linkin Park helped me a lot when i had depression. R.I.P. CHESTER
This was the first song I heard by these guys. Love it! 🤘🏻 I’m also one of them that prefers the older stuff. This song also gives me some Every Time I Die vibes.
Haha! Massive Twin Peaks fan. When that show aired back in the day I sat on the couch with tunnel vision, wouldn’t even noticed if the house was on fire! 😅
@@TheDjentleman77 Wish I had experienced that but I was born in 1991 and only watched TP after hearing about it over and over again and having played Alan Wake, which is loaded with TP references. TP went on to become one of my favourite shows and somewhat of an obsession as well 😅 Have a nice day
Yeah, I remember when the reruns started I recorded every episode on vhs…I’m old, I know! 😅👴🏻 I love everything Lynch touches. Mulholland Drive👌🏻👌🏻 Alan Wake 🤔 sounds familiar but…I have to check it out. Hey, the same to you! 🤙🏻
I used to be of the opinion that he couldn't scream like this anymore. Then I saw them live. He did pray for plagues harder than the album. Dude can still do it. I now assume that he changed it up to save his vocals
Something I find quite interesting about this song is the part where oliver says “We all carry these things inside that no one else can see They hold us down like anchors, they drown us out at sea I look up to the sky there may be nothing there to see But if I don’t believe in him why would he believe in me” The quote is pretty straight forward but it leads to an answer that I don’t think many people speculate over. But I did for the longest time, and I believe, possibly that I’ve found the answer. The songs theme is obviously he has a secret that he won’t tell. But what is the secret? Of course the whole chelsea smile thing with the mouth and can be read as a play on words with the secret part, but it runs much much deeper than you’d ever believe. You see a long time ago when I first asked that question “well what is the secret?” The only answers I found were people suggesting that since oliver is an atheist the secret would be that god doesn’t exist. However I believe the secret is that god does exist. Because I take him at his word when he says it is something we will never know because it’s something he will never admit to believing. The secret clearly couldn’t be the fact that god doesn’t exist because, well, he’s spoken openly even before this song about it. So that answer is incorrect. My best explanation is within those lyrics themselves. He never denies in believing in god. He only says if I don’t believe in god why would he believe in me. Which is literally a valid reason to believe in god. He’s spelling it out right in front of everyone, yet hiding it so well! Now I could just be a nut job who is reading way too deep into this, and there are conspiracies about BMTH being part of the you know what group. The one on the dollar bill. The one…. Let me stop there because I don’t have proof of any of that. What I can confirm however with nearly 100% certainty so that Oliver’s secret is that he knows god is real. Took me a long time to come to that conclusion but I do believe it to be true. Which does make one wonder why he would proclaim to be an atheist?
I’ve read this comment a couple times and I think you have a great analysis. How I interpret it is that his secret is that while he doesn’t believe in god, he wishes he did. The line “if I don’t believe in him why would be believe in me” seems like a cry for help. Aside from the lyrics just how the line sounds sonically sounds almost desperate as if he wishes god was present in his life yet no matter how hard he tries he can’t find god.
This was the first thing I ever heard from then back in 2010 or so I was 14 and only listened to Linkin Park before and just looked into bmth bc of a crush on a boy in school since I knew he liked them. I still know how I thought it's too "aggressive" for my taste. A year later I was a big fan of their music and listened to them everyday for years. They really played a big part in my teen years and I love them still.
This was the first song I ever heard from BMTH and I've been a fan ever since. Check out "The Comedown" next, off this same album. Video is hilarious too!
this is the furthest bk I can listen to from the early stuff. a few more from this album are good too, then there is a hell Album, so the 1st few tracks, but don't go, love that song. Sempiternal I LOVE, AND that's the spirit, most from amo, then they surprise us with survival horror which is the best of all BMTH sounds rolled into 1.
Back in the days where they cut down music videos to make songs shorter for literally no good reason. The drops on this song don't QUITE hit as hard bc of the lack of those few seconds of build up. No idea why they used to do this to music videos of every sort when FUSE didn't care about song length to being with, they'd play whatever, and if it got to TRL they hardly ever play full songs until the top 3 anyway. Glad that era is over.
I want to suggest : myrath - believer . This song is an Arabian metal and it is a masterpiece , the video is epic , the riffs are amazing , I hope you react to it ❤️
Please react to we butter the bread with butter - exorzist, it is a great song with good breakdowns and the video is one of the most serious and terrifying that it has
It's got nothing to do with being a hater. I still think the new direction for the band is full of talent, but for me personally, I just don't like over synthetic-poppy music with auto-tune. That doesn't mean I don't enjoy that style since I love Mick Gordon & some Celldweller as well who mostly produce Synthetic metal style music, but the poppy vocals and autotune just ruins it for me.
Never gotten what this band is about and production value is total shit comparing other bands. I have tried many times but it is just not good. Opinions ofc

That one is next in line. I'm hype
@@Hoopsick diamonds arent forever is my all time fav song from them
Man this throws back some memories lol

He CAN still scream like this.

The band "Cancer Bats" are in this video at 1:45, really good band too!

This is edited for the filmclip. Listen to the album version the arrangement is much better for the intro and the bridge
Carnage by The Browning
Boomslang by Kublai Khan
boomslang is so fuckin dirty
Definitely a top 3 BMTH song for me, album version of the song was better then the music vid one imo
Oh nice, but official audio Chelsea Smile much better for me
