Now I bought a working holiday visa for australia, and I'm worried the same thing will happen. It seems like so many places have become off limits recently with rental crises.

I have been looking for an apartment on AirBnb in Sydney for my boyfriend and I for when we move this autumn, and wondering if the prices I have been seeing are realistic at all or are total rip-offs: 4000-5000 AUD/month for one bedroom apartments - what do you think? I assume it would be cheaper through proper rental but I'm a bit afraid of the whole process of inspection, competing with others for places etc..
Honestly that’s the crazy prices I’ve been seeing ! It’s eye watering 🥲 Airbnb will always be more expensive so I’d say if your here for at least 6 months get a lease ! It was a bit intimidating but it was fine, I think we viewed about 6 in one day and just showed our interest in the ones we liked !

I think most of Australia is LGBT friendly ! But there’s less gay social life than Sydney 😊
