​@DainLuka . I'm not a Superannuation expert but my understanding is, in general terms, that this is your money except for admin fees. But I may well be wrong as I know there are all sorts of complex taxation laws surrounding WHEN you withdraw. I think you would be taxed less if you withdrew at the age of 67, bearing in mind that the small amount you had earned for a year's work would have grown massively over that period of time thru prudent investment by your Super fund, obviously depending on your Super fund. Info on the best Super funds is readily available on line and you can change Super funds anytime by filling out and submitting one form. I have had super since 1992 and the amount I have now far exceeds the amount I have put in through judicious investment by my fund. It's designed for retirement not for early withdrawal so that's probs why u get taxed a heap. My advice would be to leave it in, even if you never visit Australia again. The security of the fund (eg receivership/bankruptcy) is guaranteed by the Govt, as I understand it, so I would resist the temptation to withdraw it and just watch it grow...

Very difficult to travel to Vietnam and be a vegan. You cannot expect this country or airline to accommodate your personal food tastes that aren’t common to this country since even soup or sauce base is meat or fish. Why did you give this airline a poor review when the crew did their best to accommodate you, even giving you business class food? You could also have had noodles. Even if you had managed to get a vegetarian meal, there is a good chance that any flavors or soup base would have had animal protein anyway! I have a feeling that you are going to be eating a lot of bread in Vietnam (at least the bread is delicious!)

as a 22 year old, how tricky is it to find a job? any advice?

Solid advice mate, I just got my visa a few days ago and was planning on heading to Perth in February time and was wondering if that would be a good time to go? Also I applied for my 1st year working holiday visa with an Irish passport but I live in Northern Ireland so even if I didnt do the 88 days regional work in my first year as long as I used a UK passport for my second year it would be granted wouldn't it?

Hey! Which agency did you use for picking up shifts as a social worker and did you have to register with the AASW to work in that agency? I'm a social worker planning to move to Australia with my partner in the next two months!

Honestly I'm going through the same thing, been waiting for the new regulations to come in to come back to aus to do a second year but me and my partner broke up a couple of weeks ago, just after I'd done my visa, it's really hard but focus on the good things, like the digital work and everything else will fall in place because at the end of the day, what's meant to be will be so be patient, work on yourself and let things unfold how they're meant to

It sounds like you are still on your journey and if you only want to spend 6 months or a year or two in one spot it's hard to form a relationship unless they have the same mutual aspirations to do the same thing. Live light is my best advice, don't lock into leases don't invest in things you can't carry/move and be upfront with people that you're still on your journey (not moving permanently to that country etc.) otherwise things get messy on a relationship and financial front. It's just part of the journey and learning experience. I get the sense you want to travel more and see things and just live your life, locking into things which are fixed will not give you that freedom. Concentrate on what you want to do first for now and best of luck with your travels :) 😃
