@@GARAGE33 Would you recommend this for people who have 4x4 SUV in the mountains where there are plenty of steep climbs or for going up steep roads in low gears. To pre cool the radiator and engine before a hill climb instead of waiting till temperatures are high for the fan to start. Mind you i have a 98 montero sport with 1 a/c fan and a big clutch fan that runs from the motor. I have no issues yet but i know the montero radiator is only 15mm thick and where i use it is 80 or so degrees.
Quick question pin did he pulled out cause I replaced all of my coolant system water pump thermostat everything pretty much n my fan doesn’t turn over I jumped it n it works I just want to know what pin did he pull out
I wanna do this as I have aftermarket fans/radiator. Do you guys have a written/picture tutorial anywhere? I want this exact setup where both fans will turn on simultaneously via a switch or via engine temp (in case I forget to flip the switch lol). Furthermore, any current draw concerns about having them wired this way? I'm bad at electronics but I've read this can be a concern
Yup! That's exactly what we did. I'm not too great at electronics either but you can ask Greg on Instagram @craig_crn and he might be able to give you some more info!
but if you press the AC then you are pumping a lot of heat into the system, or are you sying that if you turn it on for 1 second that the fan stays on for few minutes?
Mine run constantly in my sc300 and it kills my battery after 5 mins if i leave the car on accessories and dont crank it. Sometimes i just wanna listen to music 🤷♂️ so always on isnt good bc your car can be too cool also
@@Sip28 miata takes at least 10 minutes of driving to get up to operating temp. And if ur driving at highway speeds it'll never overheat. My fans haven't worked all year and I only start to overheat if I'm stuck idling and scooting around in 1st. in traffic in 90 degree weather
So basically did he just put a switch between the two pins, effectively jumping 10 and ground? Interested in doing this to my car. Thanks!
Hey what’s up man where’d you get the switch and what type of switch is it ?
Ngl when I first did this I thought it was difficult to do but it was the easiest thing to understand 😂😂
I wanna try this since my main mechanic guy became a diesel mechanic only. I don’t know who to trust out here in Ohio.
Just pulled my a/c clutch fuse and turn the ac on for my secondary fan
I'll come back to this video the next time I wanna get dizzy...
The video help me thank you
Hey by any chance by doing the manual fan switch. Would the fans still turn on themselves when it reaches its certain point?
Yes sir! They will turn on like normal but the switch allows you to turn them on sooner if you would like

if u manually turn on will it affect the relay?

Hmmm I don't think he pulled any pins, all he did was run a switch to the ground wire
he pulled the pin that u use to diagnose the radiator fan if it was not working properly inside of the diagnosis port.
@@jacob-ox1jr yeah I find that strange. Shouldn't have to take anything from the diagnosis box

@@GARAGE33 awesome, thank you!
What type of toggle switch do I need? Can I go with a 40amp?
I guess my AC will be my fan switch for now then lol.

@@HealthSupercharger you know what, I just don't turn it on at all 😂
@@N-JOEI sometimes it is nice to have manual switch to turn on max cooling.
Why even add a switch, just connect them up hot so they always run?
Don't need them running all the time, only at certain temps
GARAGE 33 so just cut them off periodically driving down the road? Because I thought the car over heat if you cut them off.
