Vacuum Pump Replacement | VW T4 2.5tdi

This is how I changed my vacuum pump on my Volkswagen T4 2.5tdi. It was ticking loudly and also leaking - neither of which is good.
Changing the vacuum pump cured both the loud ticking from the engine but also the leak that was covering the front of the engine and electrical connectors in oil.

If you undo the torx screws you can usually extract a pint of oil out of it, this is because it was designed to be used at a different angle to allow oil to drain back into engine.

The exact job I need to do because mine ticks so bloody loud! It’s in a similar spot where I think the oil leak on my van is coming from. I guess it’s a process of elimination of noises and leaks at the moment!
