You've gotta be the strongest person I've seen at that height. You never get hurt, you put your leg out and catch a million falls, and you pick up 800lb bikes off the ground like it's nothing. The one time I started falling over in sand I put my leg out to catch it and my hamstring ripped right in half, lol.
i used to own a big fat vstrom. i upgraded it so i could go off road. finally got rid of it when i found myself getting into more and more sketchy situations. now seeing matt, do all this with a wing?!? i realize that the bike was never holding me back. matt is an extremely good rider.

My grampa passed away at the age of 85 due to demtia my grandma passed at 86 cause cancer and i really thing if they would have just stayed on the farm life working they retired and settled down and died its really cool to see and older guy out their having fun like hes 25
PIggy makes you sit in a cruiser posture, but you're jumping this hog over rocks and up hills. It's just hilarious. Watching how it digs into sand and squrrels around. Good lord, this is video gold.
Goldwings are touring bikes. If you find the clips where he's got his feet up, they're almost (not quite) under the hips like a dirtbike, not stretched out forward like a cruiser. You can stand up on these even!
Not trying to belittle this achievement but cruiser/tourer posture is very similar to off-road posture. The hunt for leverage and comfort end up at approximately the same place.
I wonder if this is the most abused goldwing in the world. It sure seems to like it. This does definitely go to show that with a decent set of tires and some rider skill you can take pretty much anything off-road

I took my 2005 HD Nighttrain offroad in Alabama one time. It was a situation where I had been riding down this small dirt road forever, I was getting low on gas, and the road became a trail and I was soo close according to the map, I couldn't afford to turn around and risk walking. Lol. I kept riding and thinking I'll pop out on the road eventually. I ended up doing some single track and it was super sketchy, but I eventually made it. It was one of my most memorable rides ever! I miss that bike.😢

1. I've never seen anyone with the skill to snatch an 800lb. bike around like you do. 2. Honda should be offering you an 1800cc Wing and a pocketful of money sponsorship. 3. Guess you have to have a tour pack to carry your balls.
I rode my GL1500 down a sketchy dirt road from Mt Hood to Hood River going not much over 15 mph…clearly the Wing could have taken much more! What an amazing rider handling that half ton bike.
Just imagine being an hour+ into crawling along with your big expensive 4wd in low range the entire time, just for old mate to limmi bash a busted up goldwing past you 🤣🤣
You should go out again and then call Matt's off road recovery pretending to be stuck. He will show up and be like, how the hell did you get here?? Then you can ride away 😂
Nothing will ever beat that goldwing for this kind of missuse, you can buy them ment cond (older models naturaly but people take care of them) running perfectlyfir 800 and up and parts are dirt cheap for repares i am going to aquire reinforce and run one offroad myself....eventualy 😅 love your vids man mostly i love that you have fun its not like some who seem to feel like its their second job. 😉 and overall its inspireing to see older people out on bikes too so this vid is double awsome really makes you think about whats actually posible and wonder where are your limits really both for the bikes people and age in general. Total Boss Hoss rock scrambler. Makes me want to get something less made for the environment just for the challenge. Maybe a scrambler motorcycle like the Triumph or Ducati scrambler. I wonder if Moab is a good place to retire and just ride all the time?
That has to be one of the hardest things to do on a motorcycle for real!! I've rode both disciplines street I've got a big 1400 chopper style bike and numerous dirt bikes and never would I ever!!!
