Honestly one of the most imaginative and great quests in Oblivion. You really get to experience the reach of the Dark Brotherhood when this is the first time you ever sleep and you get to talk to Lucien LaChance in the dreamworld.
They really leaned hard into the themes here. Courage is found from having someone to go back to. Resolve is found when challenging danger. Patience is found when needing to take a step back to avoid danger. Perception is found when needing to watch for danger.
For no particular reason, Henantier was one of my favorite Oblivion NPCs without having much of a personality at all. He's got that smart kind of stupid going on.
lmao, "Your killing has been observed by forces unknown....". The Player: "...HUH?!!" I always loved the concept of this quest, exploring a literal dreamworld that is accessed through sleep. I wish we got to do it again in a future game, albeit in a more expanded way. Imagine going to sleep in Skyrim, and waking up in a Blackreach-sized domain full of randomized events. Your gear would be unique in this place, similar to this quest, and remembered with each visit. They could even throw in some unique monsters there, or perhaps some of Vaermina's Daedra. It'd also be cool if said dreamworld would gain access to new events or other aspects based on what quests you've completed and choices you've made. Finally, in the endgame of this dreamworld, perhaps we could find unique loot that we can transfer into the real world, be it actual equipment or a spell.
Definitely understand that but if you ever get the chance it's like a $10 game or something like that. 10/10 would recommend as you have pretty much an infinite amount of things to do
While Oblivion has quite a hand full of good quests this especially stood out for it's creativity. Whoever at Bethesda made it really gone up and above.
Because it was the last BGS game that Michael Kirkbride was involved in, as much as I love Skyrim the writing took a hit, and Starfield is very evident of it.
I don't know why, but this is one of my favorite quests. Maybe b/c It's a Simple, yet interesting concept. But then again, I have many favorite quests in this game. XD

I remember the day i figured out that you can skip this quest entirely. I always thought it was required to to the Bravil recommendation and ive met a surprising amount of people who never played it. Hell, on my first playthrough i thought it was the Bravil recommendation. Good times
Ah the quest name *might be a callout to the film: A Scanner Darkly. What a great film. Definitely worth the watch, cult classic with a plethora of big named actors.

I wonder what kind of lore implications this quest should have if it were further expanded given the importance of Dreams in the Elder scrolls franchise and their relation to learning chim
the glitch quest: if you were wearing the snake ring thingy from the bruma countess akaviri fortress quest or springheel jaks shoes from the thieves guild quest, you would unequip these items automatically and keep them as an indestructible bonus
This was a massive nostalgic for me. This was one of my favourite quests in the game. I played this game when I was a kid and needless to say this quest gave me a few nightmares 😂😂😂

The Test of Courage: Do you have the inner strength to face an uncertain watery fate or do you challenge the test* taking the potions? I randomly found this quest myself as an argonian... thinking the bottom floor ones would be hard, I saved them for last, did the top 2 and had a bit of a time, especially with perception as I failed to see sone of the traps. But I get downstairs to the courage door, to find out i literally can just swim all day without needing potions, and saying to myself "man they really gave me this one didn't they" 😂
Kud-Ei: When you enter your dreams with the amulet, you're in full command of a dream-like replica of yourself. All your thoughts, your skills and your talents travel there with you... Hero of Kvatch, silenced and thus without their magic: ...bullshit.
I hope you make more of your really long videos, they are my absolute favorite! I fall asleep to them every night & have watched them multiple times. Do you plan on making any more? :))
Heres a tip for when you are doing something that involves waterbreathing potions to get more distance with less waste, save them til your almost out of breath

I just played through this quest yesterday. I was so disappointed all i got for all that work was one low level scroll! Even if that's a bug, the she said i would get a bounty. And she just said bye instead. I was expecting gold lol.
I always loved when somtimes talking to a male begger they have a meek voice, pay them coin and they morph into Wes Johnson 🙃

Also if you're suspended by the Dark Brotherhood and have yet to make restitution, the Wrath of Sithis can attack the player in the Dreamworld.
Legit happened to me last playthrough, I had a heart attack when I had a screen full of Lucien
