When you heard Mike Leach talking about something unrelated to football after an intense game, you understand that his mind never stopped. It ran a mile a minute. He was genius and a man of character. Everyone loved him. I think he would make some comment about the Art of War. Maybe part of his talent was making the other team almost, almost cheer for Mike Leach's squad. But he was bigger than football.
He is one of a kind. Condolences to his family and to all those who loved them. If you read this, know that Mike is loved by so many. Wish we could hear about whatever book he was reading in his office the night before. He will be missed.

"They used to have those Sprees in a box... Outstanding. You have to go the dollar store to find them, but I do".
Always brings a smile to my face. Rest easy Mike.

Football season will be a little less fun now that he's gone. He was brilliant but his weirdness is what made him so lovable. From a die hard Tiger fan, truly sorry for your loss Mississippi State. Thankyall for hiring him💔

10:45 this was one of the last postgame interviews he gave. And his advice is wise. He knows this generations values. He could've been anything he wanted. A professor, a CEO, a wise accountant. Even if he never coached a game. This man could've run for office. Ive said it in another comment but he was absolutely a genius. You bet he would be the best guest, best patron at a restaurant. The best father you could ask for. A coach that was like a father to many talented kids who didn't have the fortune of growing up in good homes. He's the kind of man that always actually had his office door open.
We can have our sport, but there is a man there too and don't forget that even though we love his life's work and love this game - there is a man there too. That's what I'm trying to say.
Rest easy, Mike . You made the world a better place and your legacy will continue to do just that.
