Changing the EQ on Hetfield's vocals on this specific track really does just transform the Justice vocals to the Puppets vocals. This is the best rewritten version of this song I've ever heard. It's about on par with the original for me.

Despite that, I fell in love with the huge soundscape that Maiden captured on Stranger in a Strange Land and even Leppard’s Hysteria (even though there’s NO reverb there - just delay). When I master my work, I’ll sometimes add reverb to the master if the feel is too dry.

Metallica goes on to release more great albums with Cliff Button and the rest is history.

many of the songs on lightning, puppets, justice were arranged in certain order - #1 starts slow and gets heavy as fuck. #2 title track. #3 more slow and plodding. #4 slower start/sad song but hitting very heavy at the end. 3rd last has complicated arrangement. 2nd last is instrumental, last is most crazy and fast. lightning kind of was the groundwork for this, some differences there - instrumental is last, creeping death would be more of the last song in the formula with another song in it's place... also third last is escape, which i have always liked, but did not belong as an album track at that time - they have written like fifty of those kind of radio songs now but at the time it was out of place.
He is able to touch whatever dimensions of conscious creative collective that people like Steve Jobs and Nikolai Tesla have touched! This is pure genius!
The difference is that this guy here not only changes the tone, he changes almost everything about the song to make it suit the other album's style and mindset. Guitarrazze did it on the intro to To Live Is to Die but that was it.

Also would love to hear what songs like King Nothing or Devil's Dance might sound like on Black Album. There are a lot of songs on Load/Reload that I think would sound pretty heavy/cool on the Black Album, with more thrashy influence, and less blues influence. Anyways, great work as always. Keep up the good work. Definately makes great practice for editing/mixing, and guitar playing practice.
