I think the root of the problem: James is the alpha of the band....and Lars wants to be. Think about it this way...without James...Metallica would not be the same...without Lars...it really wouldn't make much difference. There are plenty of other drummers...but only one lead singer in that band...and you know that has to have eaten at Lars. I'm surprised they've stayed together as long as they have.

I think James Mason's is the only one to incorporate the bass while retaining the album's original sonic integrity with 5 versions depending on how much bass you actually want mixed in

Also anyone that in this day in age says that they can’t fix the eq/bass problem with digital editing on that album is complete bullshit!! We’re living in the day in age when a underground crappy metal band can make an album in their bedroom on an iPad that sounds better than most albums done made 1989!!!

I know this joke has a long history, but I can hear the bass in Justice, just listened to Dyer's Eve on the way home today. And it sounds a lot like the bass in this video. You can't hear individual picks of the bass strings, but you can hear the bass backing the guitars just like you can in this video. I'd say it's pretty accurate. If the bass wasn't there in Justice, you'd for sure notice.

This arrangement is outstanding! Apart of the sound which is so close to the the album, the creator of this video shows all the musical patterns and arrangements of AJFA. I completely agree - it would sound like this! Kudos!

This ain´t close to the final vertion of Sandman pal´, Bob Rock also didn´t push the musical direction of the band that is a ignored fact of people that just want to hate on the man. What I love about these reworks is that is teaches us about the little rhythmic patterns Metallica employed that made each album unique. Also shows us how their playing style evolved.
