Greetings from Scotland! You're correct, there is no other artist remotely like Diana! She is inimitable, immensely talented and totally unique in the music world! I'm not sure how much you know about this young lady, so I shall try to encapsulate her life:-
Diana was 18yo here. She is 19yo currently but I've been following her since she was around 13yo. Diana is a natural Dramatic Contralto so the lower registers are her comfort zone but she now has a 4 octave range and it's increasing. Diana's birthmother had multiple miscarriages but when Diana came along, she seemed to hate her. She verbally and physically abused her, trying to drown her and belittle her. It all culminated when (at 3yo) she dragged her to a bus stop with a broken collarbone and abandoned her, saying "Survive if you can" A passing relative took her in but because she cried constantly (naturally with a broken collarbone) she took her to the authorities who removed Diana from her birthmothers care and placed her in an orphanage. For almost 2 years Diana never gave up hope and she knew that she was meant for something better. (This story is in her Wikipedia entry) Finally her new mother (Irina Ponik, who worked as a masseuse there occasionally) Signed her adoption papers and took her home. She vowed to pay Irina back for her kindness. Irina had a real struggle because Diana had obviously been badly affected by the experiences and at 5yo, she had a very bad stammer. It was recommended that she be taken for singing lessons to help this and immediately it was recognised that Diana had perfect pitch and an excellent ear for music and songs. 1 year later, at 6yo, Diana was performing solo on stage!
This young unique phenomenon sang everywhere and anywhere she could, working constantly to earn money for the family who rescued her. At 13yo she held her 1st solo concert and one of the songs she sang was in a very rare Sephardic Jewish/Spanish dialect, a song called "Me Voy" (I'm leaving) with a power and emotional commitment that staggers belief! ua-cam.com/video/pnlgB90iTf0/v-deo.html
She was already winning every contest in Russia and other countries that she could get to. Then at 14yo Diana took part in an amazing Russian project "You are Super" for abandoned/disadvantaged children (because Diana spent time in an orphanage) The 1st song she performed shocked the judges and audience so much, it went viral. У Димаша нет главного - баса, и его 7 актав, что дерево без корней - красивы, но пусты. Диана она совершенно другая, вот она может удивлять до мурашек. Не только в длинну 5 актав, а и в ширину. Если кратко она песни поёт глубже чем Димаш.
Когда появился Димаш я его песни записал, а вот слушать его долго я не смог. Понимаете Димаш красиво поёт , а Диана живёт в песне. Когда у вас хорошее настроение вы тоже поёте. Диана дарит нам настроение на сколько красива наша жизнь ❤️

No intended offense. I'm not meaning to be all negative here. It seems that almost everyone does the same thing. You are absolutely not alone in this. I simply can't understand how it is that a person can hear a name pronounced twice, yet continue to pronounce it incorrectly.
Is it some kind of mental programming, or mental block? What do you think?
