Most people who cheat, don't feel bad about what they did. They just hate that they got caught and that it's brought to their attention by the person they're fucking over. Jacklyn (I don't know if I spelt her name right), didn't deserve to get cheated on. No one deserves to get cheated on, I wouldn't even wish it on the individuals who cheated on me. It's like going through hell, emotionally, physically, and every other way. JayJay, Jaclyn addressed this. Her finding out was a bad time for him because she was helping him on tour by selling merchandise and taking care of him and his tour mates. When they were talking about it, he did end up telling her that she was causing drama for the tour and shouldn't have come since she found the texts.
It's possible that maybe he did, but his channel is continuing to lose subs and he lost the person that was pretty much taking care of him and handling his money.

As someone who does acting, I just want to note how "interesting" his blinking patterns are, every time he tells a lie or says something he doesn't believe in he will not blink very much (if at all) as he says it, but afterwards he'll blink very rapidly. That's the great thing about videos, if you know the physical cues of a liar they always show themselves no matter how much manipulation they use. Many of the things he mentioned disturbed me, like how he neglects family and friends "because career" and he calls Social Repose an Entity and not a character, it's almost as if he has convinced himself that Social Repose is his life and not an act, he personifies it when it's an empty facade at best, I guess that is why he is married to his work. Like you mentioned he admits a fault but then instantly shifts the blame onto his career, Jaclyn, or "people that warned her", there is not an honest bone in this "man's" body and it is very clear to see.

*sigh* Honestly I always felt something was..off about Richie. Like don't get me wrong I was a fan of him, he makes great music and he was usually likable in his videos. But I always felt like..he might do something that would get him in trouble online? And I gotta say..even knowing that this was a surprise to me. To me, cheating on someone you chose to be with with someone you didn't is one of the sickest things you can do to another human being. It is one of the worst feelings in the world to find out that someone you thought loved you betrayed your sacred bond. The amount of pain Jaclyn feels is something I can't even wrap my head around. To put full trust into someone just to have that person ultimately go behind your back and break your trust in half like a twig? I feel incredibly bad for her and I do not wish this on anyone. I like how you reacted to all three videos and voiced your opinion on them, because I honestly agree with pretty much all of them. I think onision has been quick to jump on his high horse when in reality him and richie have done some pretty messed up things. I was a big social repose fan (and was more focused on his music than his content) but I started watching jaclyn since i found a few of his other videos. I was upset when i saw his post about his cheating in general because jaclyn was so devestated and did NOT deserve that. I unsubscribed even as a fan because of not the cheating incident alone but because of the nature of the situation and how he worded and directed his manipulative, mournful response. Obviously he showed no real sign of change and he mostly seemed to be apologizing to his fans not Jaclyn- and that reminded me of Onion boy so of course I found his response quickly. And sure enough his response was just as crap because it was obviously self conceded and proved that both of them are equally crap human beings. I can't even begin to state all the things i found wrong with both of them, not even to mention richies newer video of him watching his subcount and pouting like Jaclyn should have kept it all a secret. You think Richie actually doesn't have so much as a "sex addiction" as he does an addiction to his own destruction, or risk of such? Thinking about it, if a person cherished their career as much as he claims he does, to the point of excluding/ignoring loved ones, surely he would have thought about it before it got too far.

You don't think that ever entered his head? The smirks, the sighs, the dead eyed-expression...a lot of people could say that those are signs of a sociopath, or someone who doesn't care. I agree. I think he is manipulative and doesn't really care about just how badly Jaclyn is suffering. But personally, I believe he's also gotten a high from it, too. He's always claimed he's felt sorry, that he won't do something so terrible again...but he does it again, likely because he likes to punish himself. Why else would he so soon put a video up of him watching his sub-count go down? Why is he bringing attention to the fact that his count is going down, watching it slowly lower second by second? You could say it's a "pity-strategy"; that he's doing so to gather some sympathy by watching his career suffer. But...he already realises that it's not going to give him any sympathy. He knows he "fucked up", thus should be self-conscious enough to know that it's not going to work in his favour. It's almost masochistic.
It's just my opinion, but self-destructive behaviour can almost be addicting to someone who has issues with themselves. And often, those tendencies to allow themselves to self-destruct can harm other people (his ex-girlfriends), or things that he cares about (his project and work). It's a shame that poor Jaclyn, and other girls he has dated who he has cheated on before, have had to deal with this bullshit behaviour of consistent cheating. Depression can't make you cheat, but wishing to ruin yourself a bit for your own gratification may do. It's not an excuse. It's selfish to bring others down along with you, just to make yourself feel worse. Jaclyn will pull through; she's a major tough cookie. Richie? Until he seeks help for his behaviour, he's going to continue in this cycle. It's both sad, and pretty pathetic. (Sorry for a long winded post! This has been on my mind for a few hours, and your video made me think about it deeper, based on your observations and what Richie has said himself.)
