Absolutely LOVE "Tears For Fears" "Shout", ""Sowing the Seeds of Love", "Head Over Heels"..............so many more !! Would love to see more of TFF !!!
Thanks for doing this one. It is one of my very favorite songs. It embodies the casual and happy days of the 80s and the deep thinking of Tears for Fears. An amazing song. Everything about it is just perfect.
You should certainly keep going with your discovery of Tears For Fears (TFF)!! They are one of the best bands from the 1980's, for sure, but their discography is very, very impressive! They are FANTASTIC songwriters and musicians! They were on the vanguard of the Synth-Pop/New Wave movement in the early 80's but then brough in more Rock and Soul to their sound in the late 80s and 1990s. They are very influenced by The Beatles, as you will discover. Check out their album from 1989 called "Sowing the Seeds of Love". All their music is great but their best are "Songs From the Big Chair" (1985), "Sowing the Seeds of Love" (1989) and "Everybody Loves a Happy Ending" (2004). Again, you can't go wrong with any of their stuff, it's all good. Check out the song "Woman in Chains", "Shout", and "The Year of the Knife", just to get a good cross-section of their music. You could do complete album listens and you'd be really happy, believe me!
If you like Jazz Songs, Tears for Fears has 3 of the Best Ones: 1. Working Hour - The Sax on this Song is amazing. Very atmospheric. The layered soundscape will give you chills. 2. Advice for the Young at Heart - Very catchy Pop-Jazz. The lyrics is very introspective. A Crowd Pleaser. 3. I Believe - This and George Michael's Kissing a Fool, is my 1-2 Knockout Punch of Classic Jazz. The Music is so Romantic, and yet the lyrics... 😂 What's scary is, they're not even a Jazz Band. Can you imagine if they created a Jazz-Focus Album? Heads would explode, mine included.
This is off of “Songs from the Big Chair” probably my favorite album .Track for track not a bad song on the album. Besides that album there is “Mad World” which has been covered countless times with some really cool takes on the song. I would strongly recommend “Sowing the Seeds of Love” I think you would love it!
Great song, album and band, they were one of the best of the 80s New Wave outfits and put out some great stuff. Do the official video for Shout and see how powerful they really were. You will love this band, enjoy! 🔥🎵🎸🎤🎹🎤🎸🎶
I echo calls for "Shout", "Mad World", "Change", "Head Over Heels". For a real deep cut, try "I Believe" from "Songs From The Big Chair". This song was very much written for the US market. There is an everyman appeal about it, but it also grinds against the need for community and collaboration, by appealing to selfish desires, so I always have mixed feelings about it. Good band though, good music, still going. As an aside, someone used to create videos by dubbing over the lyric with someone describing what was happening in the video, but singing that in tune to the song. Their zenith was their video to "Head Over Heels" It's hilarious. Once you do Head Over Heels, search for the "literal version".
Tears for Fears were one of the better bands of the 80s..this was such a huge hit and of coursr the Video is great. Yes you are right. The instrumental and musicality of the song is terrific. It is a common theme with other songs, they are such a creative talented band. Please try "Shout" next. Thanks
80s classic.. pls react soon to more TFF. I suggest Advice For The Young At Heart, Pale Shelter, Shout, Head Over Heels, Mad World, Woman In Chains, Sowing The Seeds Of Love, Laid So Low.
Hi! Thank you for this reaction. I cannot remember the last time I heard it, but I remember when I first hear it and how much I related to this song (I was very much younger than you are now 😊). Take care, have a great weekend.
"Working Hour", "Woman in Chains", "Goodnight Song", "Year of the Knife" and "Bad Man's Song" are all good choices from this band in my opinion. Tears For Fears is one of my favorite bands. If you want to hear something a little harder from another one of my favorite bands, check out "Is There Anybody Listening", of "Jet City Woman" from a band called Queensryche (pronounced Queensrike).
Some great memories for me there, driving my Austin Healey back in the day, it was a real 'babe magnet'. 😛 This was a real blast from the past. Thanks honey! 🙋♂
Yeah, but that’s still expensive considering adjustment. Back then, I remember lots of people complaining about it costing around $15 to fill up. Dollar for dollar, then to now, the 1990s were actually cheaper. Those who are looking for truly cheap gas (resulting in practically no complaints about prices) at almost any time will find it exclusively in Fantasyland.
Absolutely LOVE "Tears For Fears" "Shout", ""Sowing the Seeds of Love", "Head Over Heels"..............so many more !! Would love to see more of TFF !!!
Awesome! More Tears For Fears songs: Shout (This is my favorite song of theirs!), Head Over Heels, Sowing The Seeds Of Love
One of the best pop songs ever. Enigmatic, yet fun loving and happy.
Driving with the top down when the Sun is setting and a great song on the radio, takes me back in time and makes me sad.
Thanks for doing this one. It is one of my very favorite songs.

Queensryche was awesome, the original band had many great songs and several legendary albums. Great stuff, she would love them.
A very fine and memorable 80s song!

🔥🔥1980s 🔥🔥
Such an interesting song
4:26 Note the gas prices in the 80s. 😵💫

Such a great song and I don't think it would have done as well as it did with the original proposed lyrics 'Everybody wants to go to war'
Ah you should listen to TFF 'Woman in Chains' , its so beautiful and deep ......
