My wife and I have really enjoyed your Tampa videos, wondering if you would be doing a video on Riverview? We have seen a few other real estate agents, but the videos you put out are top notch. Thanks. Florida is looking really good from here in Chicagoland area.
Honestly, I wish this area was still as nice as what your video shows it being, but the last few years has completely changed it. On paper & online, it still seems lively, but in reality, that's not at all the case. Several of the neighborhoods are lovely, but the area is just short of terrible now, bc the last few years have destroyed it, with the rapid overdevelopment, & much more currently in progress. It's turned into an overdeveloped, overcrowded, crime riddled nightmare. I mean no disrespect here, just an honest opinion from somebody who's lived over here for a long time, & witnessed it deteriorate from a beautiful, safe, family friendly community, to what it has now become.

Me my wife and two daughters live in largo my one daughter wants to move to Wesley chapel my grandkids I for got to mention I like it myself me and my wife are retired live in a senior community here in largo I'm tired of this place to congested and kind of rundown I don't like it
Long time Wesley Chapel resident. Gotta say the past 17 years has ruined this area for me. When I retire in the next 10 years I will most likely move away. Maybe not far but away. There are 37 times more people here now than when I moved here. From 2,000 people to more than 70,000 people in the area now. The drive to work was tollarable back then. But now if I had to get to work somewhere in Hillsborough or Pinellas counties between the hours of 8am and 10am I would not do it. Glad I work odd hours and at my discretion.
100% agreed! We want out ASAP! They've destroyed this area, & turned our beautiful, country feeling peaceful community, into an overcrowded, crime riddled nightmare! We want to sell & get away as SOON as possible, but can't easily sell our house, like we'd need to, to be able to move! We loved it here, when we moved here, & the first few years, but the last few years, has turned it into a disaster🙁

I figure I have enough time to finish working without having to move and find another job. I figure to go about an hour north somewhere.
Another con is that pasco county itself is horrible they don’t care about their roads, the have been “working” on st road 54 for YEARS and it’s not finished yet the road needs to be widened ASAP because more and more people keep on moving into an area not ready for that many people

Great Question! Unfortunately, no, if you are exempt from taxes that does not include your CDD fees. Taxes are broken into 2 parts...one part based on your taxable value and the other part not based on the value. The only part that’s exempt is the part based on your taxable value. CDDs are determined by the neighborhood and not the value of your house. Hope that helps!

Do they still love it? We moved here 10 years ago, & absolutely LOVED it- it was perfect! Over the last couple years, though, they've completely destroyed the area, by overdevelopment, & now, what was our quiet, beautiful, virtually crime free community, has turned into a nightmare! Some people are still ok here, but most are fed up, & looking to leave. Personally we want to get out of here ASAP, before the overcrowding, construction, & crime, get any worse than what they've already become🙁
@@DD-oi3vh my friend works from home but hated the commute to downtown Tampa she used to have. Her husband works odd hours so his commute isn’t bad. Her biggest complaint since their kids graduated high school is the distance to go anywhere now that schools aren’t a priority now. I didn’t realize how long it was to drive to a beach or even to the other side of Pasco county. Her sister lives nearly an hour from her on the other side of pasco county.
Deb Hawk My kids' dad also works from home, so commuting doesn't bother him, Gil he has to go somewhere like the store 😉 I drive daily, though, through Tampa- this past year has turned our area into a nightmare bc of the construction, & simply trying to leave r neighborhood now, can take up to 15 min😔 It's just all bad. The crime is horrible,& the super friendly atmosphere we once enjoyed, is long/ permanently gone. We r looking to sell r house & get far away, as soon as possible.
If I'm correct if you dont want hoa fees then you will want to look more inland like mayo county or away from the big city's but I'm basing this off the homes iv searched

I'm one year away from moving from Portland, OR to FL! Whoohooooo! I am in Love with the Tampa area but Jacksonville is still pulling on my string. So a few question. How far one has to live from the beach to be deemed safe (or safer) from Hurricanes? Wessley Chapel sounds good but I don't want to be that far from the beach. Second question. It is from my research that the west side of FL offer way more pretty waters than the east side. I planned on getting my water/amphibian airplane license and love to water hop to tiny islands for picnics. I tend to believe I may have to fly to the Keys area to get make that happen. Well the west coast has Clearwater Wich is a good Beach, Jacksonville is okay but not all of it is safe and the city seems to be dying. trust me I am a lifetime Florida resident but Southside Jacksonville is nice. There are tiny islands and sandbars in most fl beach cities and everywhere in Florida is vulnerable to hurricanes but mostly the panhandle Panama area. The keys is very far from mainland Florida if you go to key West. But Orlando is inland and the safest from hurricanes and it's near great beaches.

I love Wesley Chapel. The lagoon amenities is really nice and open to public for a small fee. Also a lot food trucks😀. Moved here in 2012 love it 😉

Just FINALLY bought one resale over other 11 offers!! not a new built as it's a 6-8 even 10 months wait. Work from home, perfect! No CDD, yay!
