    I don't recognise any of the songs but this is an amazing showcase of what this tiny synth is capable of. The sounds make so much more sense when "placed into context". Thank you for sharing :)

      Thank you so much for the positive feedback mate:-) I completely agree that it is much more sense to hear it in use than just the raw sounds at times. Important to show what you can make of it in a total "package" :-)

    I honestly cried a little bit. I am throwing my life savings at making a proper first trance song as the genre makes me so happy, yet you clearly show that it is skills I should look for. Amazing how the emotions of the originals still radiate from these cool remakes.

    • @CBSoreidemusic
      @CBSoreidemusic  5 місяців тому +2

      🥹 The trance genre is very powerful and emotional so I know what you mean. Today you can create wonders with the cheapest and often free VSTs so its all about trying and failing by using them. Find a song you love and try to recreate it, its really inspiring and one really learns that often more is less. I have that problem with all the music I do that I try to over produce it....... happened when i started 25 years ago and happened yesterday... 😅😅😅

      @@CBSoreidemusicso true this 😅 most oldschool trance really was sparse, and somewhat simplistic, but not to be confused with “simple”. It took and still takes incredible amount of skills to make something great! Yet, I believe the less is more principle is really true for the genre and learning to arrange and use the elements you have is key more so than perhaps any other genre, kinda like french house that bases itself around one or two samples to make a full song!

      @@CBSoreidemusic Some might say at 58 years old I should not even try this genre, but I love it. I will follow your advise and try to recreate a song that exists already, before going even deeper into failing at my own. That one can wait. Thanks.

      @rayderrich Awesome, do that and have fun :-) And one is never too old for any music.... as an example, I saw Underworld live a few month back and they were jumping and dancing HARD to really hard Techno and they are 65 and 67 years old 😅

    • @CBSoreidemusic
      @CBSoreidemusic  4 місяці тому +2

      Hey there :-) I connect the usb to the mac and then I choose External instrument in logic ( Think I show where it is in the "How I recreate trance tunes with a Roland JP-8080" video".
      It´s the same principal as how I then get audio in shown in the same video. I use a 3.5mm jack from the headphone out on the JT-4000 to two XLRs that goes into my audio interface, then create a audio track and set 1-2 as the input. :-)
