    No midi ports?

    • @realmchat6665
      @realmchat6665 7 місяців тому +2

      Midi is through the usb c (which is also for power), it can complicate things a little, but you can make it work with a $50 usb midi host box if all else fails.

    • @Imetalman2000
      @Imetalman2000 7 місяців тому +3

      No, it’s my one biggest disappointment about it. You can hook it up to a computer and get midi from a daw, but as far as hooking it up to a hardware synth, it’s a no go. 😢

    • @jaylow759
      @jaylow759 7 місяців тому +4

      @@Imetalman2000 then clearly you didn't do your research. You can even hook it up to your smartphone and have both power and midi this way. You have all kinds of trackers, samplers, hardware DAWs/workstations, sequencers, midi controllers that offer midi over usb: OXI Instruments ONE, Native Instruments Maschine+ (or MK3 if you don't need standalone), AKAI MPC, probably stuff from Polyend... You could probably also use Arduino, Raspberry Pi or any other SBCs for that purpose. Then you also have a bunch of DIY open source projects (Midiphy MIDIbox Seq).
      Also, why would you connect it to a hardware synth for midi control? I mean, hardware synth is not really meant to be a MIDI controller; it's a synth.

    • @Imetalman2000
      @Imetalman2000 7 місяців тому +3

      @@jaylow759 All I’m saying is that if it took aaa and just had the USB for midi, or at the very least a sync in Jack, it would be a must have gear. I was hoping I would be able to sync this up with my circuit tracks for a portable rig. The fact that you have to hook it up to some type of external power source makes it not as portable as expected. I still love mine, for the price my expectations were a bit unreasonable.
