Tbh, if they had Let's Go catching mechanics in the Safari Zone, I'd be down for that. The mechanics are surprisingly similar, maybe just have no overworld encounters in that area...? I'd also be donw for the Great Marsh to be a Wild Area tho
I really disliked the safari zone in Kanto, Johto, Hoenn and Sinnoh they were dumb. I rather they have it like the XY/ORAS safari zone. Also I'm pretty sure we are getting the safari zone back because you can get safari balls in swsh and sports balls to so they could probably make trophy garden a catching contest or if they want to throw a curve ball give us a small free update for swsh with a safari zone and catching contest we still have the left side of the map that is cut off by wyndon and their is a island in the top right corner of the isle of armor we can't get to.
I like that idea, but it might be too difficult to integrate into the engine, my guess is the marsh will be integrated into the surrounding wild area between hearthome, veilstone, and pastoria.
People: Don't add HMs, substitute them for something better Gamefreak: Something better than HMs? That would retire the sensation of having one or two slots of your party wasted by HM slaves!!

The shiny lock thing gets me. In ORAS I had it where the groudon I caught in the story showed as shiny in pokedex but it wasn't. Meaning that darn groudon was supposed to be shiny. That was first play through

An honorable mention should be dyna/gigantamaxing because in sw/sh it explicitly states multiple times that they are galar only. If they were to happen in these potential remakes, then there would be no explanation or something a gamefreak employee thought of while relaxing on their couch. Same goes for z-crystals with alola. Their best option would be to add either megas/primal reversions, or no special mechanics at all.

My thing with if they add megas, they need to make sure to make the trainers and gym leaders you battle against also have them or are difficult enough to put up a challenge. X and Y, as well as ORAS suffer from this. Once you get megas the game can be steamrolled.

Mega evolutions are needed for the starters. And for Luxray (it just has to become electric/dark type). At the least. And maybe also a mega Floatzel; besides the ones which were already made, like for Lucario etc, and so these don't need to receive Megas or optionsfor that, like for Mewtwo or Charizard... and maybe also one Mega form for: Cherrim, Ambipom, Mismagius, Honchkrow, Chimecho (or Chingling, don't know which one is the evolved form.?..), Bronzong, Sudowoodo, Blissey, Mantyne, Weavile, Tangrowth (in order to fix it...), Togekiss, Yanmega (Bug/Dragon, would be awesome!...), Porygon-Z, Dusknoir, Froslass, Heatran, Giratina, Regigigas (who knows?!...) and maybe Shaymin... who knows?!...
You know, everyone's assuming we're getting a Diamond and Pearl remake, yet unlike before, where it wouldn't take a lot of time and effort to do so, we're now talking about remaking a handheld game for a home console. Not only that, but a console that takes away a core function from said core game (the dual and touch screen). So basically, there's a lot more that has to go into remakes than there was before since now, Nintendo not only has to do a major overhaul of the graphics, but also needs to rework the core functions the game previously relied on.
One thing I really hope they add into future pokemon games is not having to press any button to progress text boxes for cutscenes. Just let it play automatically.
Dynamaxing or Megas for the Sinnoh Starters are not needed. But they are good mechanics for other Pokemon. They need something unique that will make them stand out from the other Starters from around the Pokeworld. King is what I call my Infernape, Emperor was what I call my Empoleon.

Unless, of course, they stretch the whole space-time thing with Diamond and Pearl by pulling some convoluted mess with the Distortion World and Ultra Space to create Power Spots in Sinnoh. The SinJoh Ruins were a backdoor for the Creation Trio in HGSS, just like how the Delta Episode in ORAS ended up being the genesis story for Mega Evolution. Dynamax really isn't necessary, but I can see it coming a mile away.
That’s not true your clue is in Pokémon home you can’t bring them to old games and they already implemented dynamax level data and g max data in the system from level one to 10. They didn’t uncover the secrets of dynamax in sword and shield .... and rose disappeared I’m pretty sure it’s because dynamax spots started to appear in each region. Fans are desperately asking for megas to comeback but they was an article on why they changed it and z moves.
From a competitive stand point I believe it’s a money maker kids love dynamax and g max at least mine do. Soooo..... they only need to make more forms. Or if a chance they made megas every Pokémon family should have one. But I’m pretty sure they didn’t add all that to Pokémon home to take it away.
The real question is how much of Platinum will be translated into Diamond and Pearl? I would expect a post-game episode that's primary focus on Giratina's potential, similar to ORAS Delta Episode. There's also the fact that for Platinum, they have to change up Gym Leader order, teams, and what pokemon you may obtain to make it easier for players to access the new evolutionary lines, as well as the feel of the game. Diamond and Pearl felt flat to me but Platinum gave it substance. I want them to make sure that the remake implements some of Platinum's fixes into the game. BTW Looking forward to returning to being a Contest Coordinator just like I was as a Kid!
There was a guy I played with in middle school in the underground. We would try to steal each other flags. I found out traps can be saved over where you last placed them, so I booby trapped with the push arrows to make him far away.
My only issue with the deleting the tutorial is that this originally was a child's game and the mechanics haven't changed or anything meaning. It's still main audience.
Would want to them to add 4 slots to play and add a Randomizer option *(like in the 3 slots you do a normal gameplay with variant starters and in the 4th doing a Randomizer, just an exemple)* add difficulties like EASY *(for a soft experience)* MEDIUM *(for a experience like the other games, smarter trainers)* HARD *(limited items like Max Revive, Full Potion can be used 3 times, the level of Pokemon of the trainers depend on the highest lvl of your team )* and EXTREME *(No items in battle, in the 8th gym the leader will have a lvl 100 team)*

I like type substitution makes the game feel more real cause these gym leaders are supposed to be incredibly skill in most cases and having one type is the opposite

Tolkien did the exact thing you just talked about, the inundation of minutiae and description, and yet his works are being made into movies 100+ years later. So no, DP does need to be that overloaded
There is, in large, a very big difference between reading a book and playing through a game that's cutting you off every step of the way to bring up text that doesn't progress the story or add to the fun of it or even embellish the plot and not leave open ends. Gameplay, text, and cutscenes if done well can work with that, but Pokémon has had this forced problem for the while even in Sun and Moon. Visual novels are an exception. They can overload the remakes if they want but I'm saying to do it well unlike how it's been done in other games of Pokémon.
I liked the "lets go" catching mechanic. It's pretty much the only thing I liked about it.... I thought it was fun and got me more involved. Plus, it let me share the pokemon experience with my wife. The excitement we shared when we got our timing perfect and got a spectacular catch was really fun
What if the Gym Leaders had their Platinum sets for the Gym Challenge, but if they could be rechallenged in the post-game, then they could have their substitutes added onto their team alongside the Platinum additions? I just feel like regardless of the type they are supposed to represent for the Challenge, some Gyms Leaders could (and imo should) have Pokemon that don't fit that criteria as they could be Pokemon from back in their own journeys.
i really hope that pokemon dont get that astronomous exp to be overpowered quickly to one shot enemys. I wanted less eggs in day care but higher chance of shiny. I hope they add more costumes to male person.
This may be bias because Pokemon Silver was one of my favorite Pokemon games. But I think HeartGold/SouldSilver are the superior remakes out of the remakes so far. There's still the same story more or less. Like you said a problem with the "event" Pokemon nowadays. Is that it doesn't really feel that special. In HG/SS, they actually did feel like events, even if the event was small. Like the Pikachu-Colored Pichu, the Spiky Eared Pichu. And the Celebi event where you went back in time. Now it's input a code, get a Pikachu...like wow...that's it?
Just let us transfer Gen 2 mons such as starters into the game and everyone's happy. Though I'd like a Battle Bond feature in the game that can only be gained by specific requirements in bonding with your starters (both Gen 2 and Gen 4).
I think for a training, part would be fun if it was in a setting of us in Pokémon school and the teacher us us in each test of like catching a Pokémon or battling, “do you need a reminder? No, let’s hope you paid attention then!”

About the tutorial thing: the into/tutorial in Sun/moon/ultrasun/ultramoon literally almost quit the game since it was like 20 to 30 minutes

Mega evolutions are needed for the starters. And for Luxray (it just has to become electric/dark type). At the least. And maybe also a mega Floatzel; besides the ones which were already made, like for Lucario etc, and so these don't need to receive Megas or optionsfor that, like for Mewtwo or Charizard...
and maybe also one Mega form for: Cherrim, Ambipom, Mismagius, Honchkrow, Chimecho (or Chingling, don't know which one is the evolved form.?..), Bronzong, Sudowoodo, Blissey, Mantyne, Weavile, Tangrowth (in order to fix it...), Togekiss, Yanmega (Bug/Dragon, would be awesome!...), Porygon-Z, Dusknoir, Froslass, Heatran, Giratina, Regigigas (who knows?!...) and maybe Shaymin... who knows?!...

You know, everyone's assuming we're getting a Diamond and Pearl remake, yet unlike before, where it wouldn't take a lot of time and effort to do so, we're now talking about remaking a handheld game for a home console. Not only that, but a console that takes away a core function from said core game (the dual and touch screen). So basically, there's a lot more that has to go into remakes than there was before since now, Nintendo not only has to do a major overhaul of the graphics, but also needs to rework the core functions the game previously relied on.

One thing I really hope they add into future pokemon games is not having to press any button to progress text boxes for cutscenes. Just let it play automatically.
For the tutorials hopefully they just give us the option to choose a tutorial or not for catching. Then it makes it easier for new and old fans.
Dynamaxing or Megas for the Sinnoh Starters are not needed. But they are good mechanics for other Pokemon.
They need something unique that will make them stand out from the other Starters from around the Pokeworld.

@@wachinga They didn't, if you look at the statue in the trailer for BDSP you will see something that looks like a fusion of both box legends, that's a big hint at the game mechanics for the legends, but why fuse them both? Can we get both in one game?
Instead of removing it altogether, have an option, like an npc just asks if you need them to show you how to catch a pokemon
What We need is;
-No More Gigantimax or Dynamax, Bring Back Mega Evolution and Z Moves.
-Have all 1000+ pokemon be available to TRANSFERABLE back and forth into the games from Home.
-Have the Mystery Gift Events be addable DLC down the road for 6$ each.

@@j44son true. I think it was Soul silver and heart gold that did a really good job with handling other games starters. I remember there were little quests you could do that were niche things and if you did them you could choose one starter from a different region. Something like that is perfect

Unless, of course, they stretch the whole space-time thing with Diamond and Pearl by pulling some convoluted mess with the Distortion World and Ultra Space to create Power Spots in Sinnoh. The SinJoh Ruins were a backdoor for the Creation Trio in HGSS, just like how the Delta Episode in ORAS ended up being the genesis story for Mega Evolution. Dynamax really isn't necessary, but I can see it coming a mile away.
That’s not true your clue is in Pokémon home you can’t bring them to old games and they already implemented dynamax level data and g max data in the system from level one to 10. They didn’t uncover the secrets of dynamax in sword and shield .... and rose disappeared I’m pretty sure it’s because dynamax spots started to appear in each region. Fans are desperately asking for megas to comeback but they was an article on why they changed it and z moves.
From a competitive stand point I believe it’s a money maker kids love dynamax and g max at least mine do. Soooo..... they only need to make more forms. Or if a chance they made megas every Pokémon family should have one. But I’m pretty sure they didn’t add all that to Pokémon home to take it away.

The real question is how much of Platinum will be translated into Diamond and Pearl? I would expect a post-game episode that's primary focus on Giratina's potential, similar to ORAS Delta Episode. There's also the fact that for Platinum, they have to change up Gym Leader order, teams, and what pokemon you may obtain to make it easier for players to access the new evolutionary lines, as well as the feel of the game. Diamond and Pearl felt flat to me but Platinum gave it substance. I want them to make sure that the remake implements some of Platinum's fixes into the game.
BTW Looking forward to returning to being a Contest Coordinator just like I was as a Kid!
There was a guy I played with in middle school in the underground. We would try to steal each other flags. I found out traps can be saved over where you last placed them, so I booby trapped with the push arrows to make him far away.
They do NOT need to add Dynamaxing! So unnecessary.

My only issue with the deleting the tutorial is that this originally was a child's game and the mechanics haven't changed or anything meaning. It's still main audience.

I like type substitution makes the game feel more real cause these gym leaders are supposed to be incredibly skill in most cases and having one type is the opposite

Tolkien did the exact thing you just talked about, the inundation of minutiae and description, and yet his works are being made into movies 100+ years later. So no, DP does need to be that overloaded
There is, in large, a very big difference between reading a book and playing through a game that's cutting you off every step of the way to bring up text that doesn't progress the story or add to the fun of it or even embellish the plot and not leave open ends. Gameplay, text, and cutscenes if done well can work with that, but Pokémon has had this forced problem for the while even in Sun and Moon. Visual novels are an exception. They can overload the remakes if they want but I'm saying to do it well unlike how it's been done in other games of Pokémon.

I liked the "lets go" catching mechanic. It's pretty much the only thing I liked about it.... I thought it was fun and got me more involved. Plus, it let me share the pokemon experience with my wife. The excitement we shared when we got our timing perfect and got a spectacular catch was really fun

What if the Gym Leaders had their Platinum sets for the Gym Challenge, but if they could be rechallenged in the post-game, then they could have their substitutes added onto their team alongside the Platinum additions?
I just feel like regardless of the type they are supposed to represent for the Challenge, some Gyms Leaders could (and imo should) have Pokemon that don't fit that criteria as they could be Pokemon from back in their own journeys.
I like Dynamax but it's a bit useless except for the extra health and different moves but they should just use mega evolutions

This may be bias because Pokemon Silver was one of my favorite Pokemon games. But I think HeartGold/SouldSilver are the superior remakes out of the remakes so far. There's still the same story more or less. Like you said a problem with the "event" Pokemon nowadays. Is that it doesn't really feel that special. In HG/SS, they actually did feel like events, even if the event was small. Like the Pikachu-Colored Pichu, the Spiky Eared Pichu. And the Celebi event where you went back in time. Now it's input a code, get a Pikachu...like wow...that's it?
