- New Pokémon evolutions was a big part of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl. With the games being remade into Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, we need to go back in time and talk about the generation 1-3 Pokémon that Should've Evolved in Generation 4. Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearls are the games with the highest chance of brining in a new feature to Pokémon that would create new evolutions in its own new Pokémon evolution remake dex and bring in new evolutions for Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. I hope we actually DO get new evolutions for once within the past 14 years (and to those asking, the Galar evolutions barely count because they’re not for the original forms.)
Yeah, Galarian form evolutions are functionally just evolutions to new, albeit familiar, pokemon.

@@Astral_thee_God Plus, it's Eevee. They're all but obligated by tradition to keep adding to their secondary mascot's family. It's really not the same thing as breathing new life into pokemon that desperately need it.

Nobody remembers them. At least Chatot and Lumineon. Pachirisu is pretty popular but it's a Pikachu clone. None of them can evolve. If Pachirisu gets one, then you'd kinda need to give one to Plusle, Minun, Emolga, Dedenne, Togedemaru, and Morpeko.

Girafarig
Jynx definitely deserves a 3rd stage evolution since it’s always consider to be part of the trifecta with Electabuzz and Magmar
The second form of the Girafarig evolution reminds me of the original Girafarig concept back then
As much as I want Tauros to evolve, they should save it for Greece. Where it can evolve into a Rock/Steel Minotaur.
Herracross should get a pre-evolution that also links with Pinser.
Donphan should evolve into Ground/Steel
Girafarig needs an evolution becoming Dark/Psychic.
Stantler also needs an evolution Normal/Psychic
Torkole needs an evolution becoming Fire/Rock.
Dear god scrap the torkoal evolution, I would hate to be 4x weak to earthquake AND surf

To find new sources of coal, legends said the next source was across a deep river. The bravest of Torkole managed to cross. When it crossed, it gained new strength and it evolved. It's tastes changed and to produce power it drinks lots of water to fill the reserves, dropping the need to eat coal.
I think Luvdisc deserves an evolution too, it could evolve into a beatiful eel like Milotic

I think Torkoal also needs an evolution. But it should get the ground type and get a large increase to its Special Defense, as well as more added to it’s defence and HP

the only time i approve of baby pokemon is when they allow us to get the stronger pokemon in the game early, like how Garchomp is

Jynx would definitely be near the top of my list. I always grouped her with Magmar and Electabuzz. They're all together on the Pokedex. They all got a baby form in Gen 2. And then... Jynx just got left out when the other two got an evolution in Gen 4.
I think Jynx might need her own next evolution? Something like two separate ones from what type of pokemon she is: (ice/psychic) and what kind of pokemon she is: (human-shaped pokemon). One will be a region evolution to where she's in, in type: (dark/psychic) evolution and what kind of pokemon: (silhouette pokemon), focusing more on the human-shape part. And the second is where she can hold a ghost type item, and during battle she faints, turning her into a (ice/ghost), and what kind of pokemon: (pale lady pokemon).
I want all of them to get EVo but Design ideas for Tauras, Grumpig and Torkoal are really exciting

I could definitely see the franchise going the Obstagoon route and making a regional form evolve for pokemon that need buffs like Dunsparce or Furret

Am I the only person that remembers when psyduck destroyed everything with his headaches? How powerful that was? Then the episode when Golduck finally shows up and kicked ass. Golduck is HIGHLY underrated and deserves a mega evolution or new evolution.

I grew up in a dairy farm so Tauros always had a special place in my heart and is one of my gen 1 faves. He needs some love.

Pokemon Soulstones had a very awesome idea for a mega chimecho, it was a monster. I like this one as well tho aesthetics wise!;)
The mega girafarig variants both look fye too. It needs a special unique ability too similar to wonder guard. Maybe whichever side of girafarig develops and takes over, that becomes its main type, and if you hit it with an attack that would super effectively hit the typing it evolved away from, it becomes immune to it. It would just be immune to bug

Rhydon too. Rhyperior feels like it was supposed to be the evolved form of another Pokémon completely and scrapped. So they just gave it to Rhydon. Rhydon needs another natural evolution. Also a baby form.

I do have to say, Jethro, that your ideals for new evolutions for Pokemon are really good! Chimecho, Grumpig and Jynx are specially nice! One Pokemon that should evolve in the new games should be Carnivine, since Galarian Stunfisk learned a new move in Snap Trap, a random grass type attack, which isn't even stab for it, would fit Carnivine more, that could cause an evolution like Ancient Power with Piloswine and Yanma.

Yeah my thoughts are every regular pokemon excluding legendary, ultra beast and mythical pokemon should have a 3 stage Evo line at some point which is why I think regional variants and megas should only go to 3 stage lines so they don't hinder that in the future. Yes jinx needs a evolution and Scyther needs a pre evo, turous needs a pre evo that evolves into turous if it's male and miltank if it's female and both need a Evo turous could evolve into a normal/steel type while miltank could Evo into ether a normal/dark or fairy type, sudowoodo I see evolving into a Willow tree while I want trevadent evolving into the wishing tree from Japan and cherrium evolving into a cherry blossom tree, yeah donphan Evo could look like a monster truck tire, yeah grumpig Evo looks cool, yeah chimecho Evo being a bigger better wind chime would be great, yeah wishcash evo would be nice, griffarick needs a pre evo and Evo most likely with the electric, ghost or dark type added depending on what they do with the design, stantler needs a pre evo and Evo that has the psychic type added and deerling needs a pre evo that can evolve into any of it's 4 forms so it will be easier to shiny hunt the one you want and season might not come back so here's a way to get them all without seasons like the pre evo could Evo depending on the nature it has like toxel evolves but split into 4 instead of 2, torkaol I'm so mad that didn't evolve into turtonator but it leaves room for a pre evo and Evo that could Evo with a any of the coalassle line in your party, tentacool needs a pre evo.
About grumpig, i would make it levitate due to its psychich type.
There maybe new Gigantamax forms but I doubt there be new regular evolutions. They don't usually do in remakes

Give Tauros a normal steel typing and some steel armor plates throughout if it stays on all fours. If it goes bipedal give it a ground normal type.

I don't think they'd make another fire pig pokemon since they already have Tepig's line.
I definitely agree that Jynx needs a cool evo since she got left out from her trio gang.
Tauros evo could be a trade evo like Karrablast and Shelmet, but with Bouffalant. And then make them the first Normal/Steel and Normal/Rock type.
I dont think Donphan needs and evo since he was a Silver exclusive back in the days, if he gets blessed with an evo then so does Ursaring witch are the counterpart but in Gold or else we have the Jynx problem all over again. I do however think both of them getting a Mega evolution would be really awesome and could make them greater threats in the competitive scene.
And also Flygon got robbed of the Mega status by Salamence witch really didn't need more power lol.

Primeape needs a third stage Evo
Starmie- to a water type electric with a thunder stone but keep as the star form

I always though sudowoodo should get a regional form... i was thinking grass fighting, maybe a tree that likes to block paths through the forest and swat you with it's arms when your back is turn... let it keep sucker punch, fake tears and low kick and make a real jerk, let it grow berries that are super bitter and can stain your clothes with it's juice
i would love a donphan evolution or a fairy fighting region form
Grumpig should balance itself on it's tail and use it's feet to hold a larger black pearl, fortune telling hand movements around it and throwing fireballs

I’m ngl, most of these either look like either megas, gigantamaxes or regional form. Also, I think it’s a tad unrealistic to hope this for BDSP, for Legends, sure, but for the remake being made by a different studio which has already stated to be a mostly faithful remake with modern conveniences? Yeah no, I’d be down for it, but I seriously doubt it’s gonna happen

Stantler should evolve into a Water/Normal Type Pokemon because it's a Reindeer Pokemon!
Stantler evolves by leveling up during a Wild Pokemon Battle when it's Raining Outside!
Since Stantler evolve is now part Water Type Pokemon than why not give them a few Ice Types Pokemon Moves as well!
If Tauros gets a Evolution than Miltank should get a Evolution too!
Miltank Evolution would make even more Milk than it's original form!
Tauros Evolution could be Normal/Steel Type or Normal/Fighting Type!
Miltank Evolution could have Normal/Fairy Type or Normal/Ground Type!

Maybe make Taurus steel normal and suwoduwoo a grass ground/rock and maybe a evolution for pinsir and heracross
Tauros should become a Minotaur (bull body n head but a human torso with arms where his neck was) and make him a fighting type.. then I'd make an alternative ditto... it would be three mini dittos stuck together that turn into three mini versions of Pokemon when it transforms with a speed boost n a reduced attack that hits multiple times like fury attack.. then I'd make toxicroak evolve in trade if u give it an item like a note with the lipstick kiss from a princess on it like the fairytale so he becomes a fairy princecroak. I'd take tropius n turn his w ings to venus fly traps making him poison. I'd give arbok a second head and have it's ability switch from a defensive one or an offensive one like aegislash to show the 2 heads have different personalities. I'd give all the ancient Pokemon that get resurrected ghost types (like aerodactyl kabutops the t rex thing) I'd make wigglytuff wigglybuff like the rock. I'd turn dewgong in to a tank walrus
I think Torkoal should have an evolution called Eruptoise.
You should make torkoal Evolution like fire and dark
I might be weird with this, but quadrupedal Pokemon becoming bipedal (Fennekin->Braixen) doesn't bother me, but a Pokemon going from bipedal to quadrupedal (are there any that do that?) would strike me as odd.

Tauros is the only gen 1 single stage Pokémon to not get a baby, evolution, mega, gigantimax or regional varient

Jynx is based on the same thing Elsa from Frozen is based on, right? But like a Yokai version of it or something.
People love the feminine humanoid Pokemon like Gardevoir and Hatterene. The DeviantArt crowd does at least. So just make Jynx an ice queen version of that. Maybe with like an ice crown or something.
