Whatever needed for your battery removal if in stock location (10mm and 13mm for tray and cable nuts, 13mm for battery hold down)

15mm socket (reverse idler shaft bolt, and trans mount if removing)
t40 torx (if OEM end plate bolts)
18mm hex or 10mm allen socket (trans mount to body bolt)
Good/short prybar/flat head screwdrivers to separate end plate and case half, as well as popping off shifter cable bushings ans the cable retainer clips
Small pocket flathead screwdriver and a magnet if aluminum bushings and e clip
External Snap Ring Pliers and Smaller Picks (45° or 90° works best)
Razor blade scraper
Zip tie to hold gearset if having a hard time (as shown on right gearset in thumbnail)
Sealants Used
Loctite 518 Anaerobic Sealer (selector and case half)
Permatex Ultra Grey (end plate)

Just got an ‘05 SRT4... trying to learn as much as possible about the car. Thanks for the great video! Subscribed!
Appreciate the love!l and sub!
If each video helps 1 person, they've done their job!!!
Thank you for this
So much great info here, great editing too. This video desirves more love !!
I’m gonna be doing this to replace the entire right side gear set with a good first gear already on it, my internals are already good, I don’t drive the car hard, I just can’t get into first gear when the car is moving at any speed. This video is great, and I’m literally going to be doing it to the exact same car. Color and all! Thank you!
I'm glad you found the video useful! If I put a video up and it helps one person, it did its job!
Thanks man very helpful 👍subscribed
It was a pain in the ass to get the torx bolts out when I broke the input shaft in my srt4 a few years ago. Had to grind channels into them and use a flathead with heat to get them out. Replaced with regular hex head bolts.
The only way to do it, get rid of the damn things!
What are the specs on the replacement hex bolts?
What's your wheel info? Interested in having my wheels kick out the same way
Which setup? The steer or track setup?
