hey uh, i have a wr840n model, after changing operation mode to extender i couldn't access the config web, the connection was still there but the internet indicator on the router was red

My router has only 2 options in the operation mode. Wireless router and access point. Is the range extender option only in some routers ?

I connected to the extender’s login page and changed it’s value to range extender and after reboot it’s not connecting to the main router

Every thing was going well but in last when wifi has to connect to device it just would not. It just "obtaining IP address" only . Did we do something wrong or something else please help....

Might be a silly question, but I don't want to repeat wifi. I'd like to use this router as a bridge from my main wifi router to some wired devices. If the WR841N receives just wifi, will it supply that broadband to it's ethernet ports? I'm guessing yes, but is this correct?
Yeah it works. I connected the extender router with my pc with ethernet. My pc has working internet now via wired connection with the extender router. I turned off the ssid broadcasting of my extender. I have only one use for this extender.

Also, why is it necessary to disable DHCP? Is it because using Static IP right?
