      @@rtechreviews I tried it but it shows no internet connection. My main router is different, the one I am trying to use as an access point or repeater is TP-Link N600(Model No.: TL-WDR3600). I followed all the steps but when I connect it shows "No Internet". Please suggest what should I do, it would be really helpful.

      The D7 is a fairly poor device to use for range extending.. it might work but the results are not great. It is simply not a high power wireless device.. but if you could run ethernet (or EOP works) to it.. then it will work fine as Wireless AP to devices nearby.

    My router AC900 and AC1200 with WDS function works fine at home, but not at all around my boss office (compatibility issues with their Cisco or Linksys routers probably), so I have one router in Client mode + ethernet cable to another AP and finally, internet works fine.

    @6:11 you changed the channel number from auto to 1, but you did not mention this in the commentary. The wording used in the popup warning, "confirm", is ambiguous, and you yourself did not realize it meant "change", not "accept". This is only on the screen for less than a second, and is too easy to miss.

    • @abrunger
      @abrunger Рік тому +2

      @5:12 is the first prompt you had to change the channel number, but you say "hit ok" for the pop-up. This is why the viewer is misled into doing the same the second time, @6:11.

      It should ideally be almost the same slightly higher latencies etc but I'm not sure why the difference... what sorts of speeds from the main router vs the tp link device as repeater?
