    I was getting frustrated with the strumming section of this plugin, I’m using Logic Pro X and just couldn’t get this guitar to strum along with my piano chords progression. After watching this video, I must say you nailed it for me. You give enough info that lead me to figure out how to get the plugin to work the way I want. Thanks a bunch.

    Once again a great demo by Kenny. I’ll say the same thing as I said about the free AmpleSound Bass. The free version is great but the paid version is a far different beast without the restrictions of the free version. For example paid version allows one to play anywhere on the neck using every string. The capo options and the ability to use chord inversions make a huge difference. The paid version has the Riffer which really opens up more ways to use the guitar.
    As with the P Bass to get the best out of the guitar in Reaper setting up Key Mapping is a good option. Kenny has a great video on setting up key maps. IMHO it is best just to edit the key map text file using the AmpleSound Manual as a guide.

      Robert if you’re making music to sell, or this is your livelihood, you’re already going to KNOW you want the pro version. Most of us are cheap and we just want something like this that we’re going to use 1% of - once a year. 😎👍

      @@chezchezchezchez Hi, I do this for fun. I’m an old guy that plays out once a month or so. I like playing with good toys. I wanted to do something I did on guitar many years ago and I found to free version somewhat limited. I also found some folk are not aware of the vast differences.
      One of my other points that I found make a huge difference is the key maps in Reaper. Not only for articulation keys but also for articulation (CC) lanes.
      Some people are not aware of the key mapping which makes using the sim a lot easier.
      Enjoy, Tony

    When the midi acoustic guitar is converted as a wav file. Some careful EQing can make the guitar sound more realistic as with any midi performance, if your not exactly happy with the original tone.

    Hey Kenny hope you can answer. I love reaper but lately I been having a problem. When I work with midi , even tho its not recording or the midi divice is not link to an specific track, by just presing a key or a pad, some information is being written on the proyets. Its not allowing me to keep working in such a way I had to trandfer to Ableton but I do really prefer reaper. Have you ever encounter this?

    (solved) Hi, when I add chords into the midi item (grid interface) new chords (e.g. I add C then G) change the previous chord to be the same (e.g. I add C and then G and it converts the C to a G). I figured it out. Just need to but a continuous c4 note in the midi editor and then lay down addition notes under that which match the ample numbering (1-24) for specific chords.

    With the free version the strings don't all play all the way up the fretboard. Looks to me like strings 2-6 work only up to the fourth fret. The first string goes all the way to the octave and beyond.

      Some time ago in another video he explains that he speaks as he does, deliberately , so he can be understood more clearly as in "real life" he speaks fairly fast...personally i think his vids are some of the best across all genres, let alone music production, clear and concise, to the point, no razamatazz etc etc.
      Im sure Reapers userbase is a lot larger than it might be thanks to Kenny and his fantastic videos

      I think KG's presentation style is very clear and consistent. He gives you time to take in what he just said with pauses. "I hope you learned something, I hope you can use it... " yes and yes, every time! Thanks Kenny!

    Can you make a video on Sampletank plugin? It's a paid VSTi with around 300-400 GB library. Free, fully functional version also available with 4 GB library with very good sounding instruments (including acoustic guitar). It sounds better than RealGuitar & way better than Ample guitar.
    This plugin is very organized and we can filter instruments by mood & genre. The sounds are as good as Komplete have.

    I know past comments say this works for them but this does NOT work for me. Maybe they updated the plugin and it doesn't work this way in 2024. I'm following EXACTLY what you're doing and chords are not changing for me. It looks like you're triggering the strum with C4 and changing chords with C1, D1, etc. which is what I'm doing. That is NOT doing anything for me. It's just repeating the same chord over and over. I get that this plugin is free, but all videos are so old that they may be out of date. Very frustrating.

    • @mediviesti
      @mediviesti 26 днів тому

      Yeah, I'm having similar issues. Even though when I record the strumming is playing (I can hear it) once the recording is done all I have is the sliding noises in the track. It's annoying.

    • @mediviesti
      @mediviesti 26 днів тому +1

      Actually, wait, I figured it out. strum is triggered with the 3rd octave where C is the first pattern C# is the second pattern (and on up the half steps), so you have to hold down C3 if you want to use the first pattern and C1 if you want to play the C chord (if you're in default settings). If that's not working for you, make sure to flip the on/off switch that appears above the left box to the on position.

      Try adding effects like eq and reverb (ReaVerb) with guitar impulse responses. It is an easy way to convert a “cheap” acoustic guitar sound into an expensive guitar sound. Also humanize the note timing and velocities.
